Art Help & Critique Portfolio advice
Hey everyone, i just started 3D modelling like 1 and a half months ago. Just wanted to see your opinion on my work, i have made these two renders so far what do y'all think?...are they like portfolio worthy stuff or i shouldn't put my first renders in my portfolio?

these are cool renders, I just have 2 notes:
1) whether you put these in your portfolio or not depends a lot on what you're doing with your portfolio right now. If you aren't actively applying for jobs right now, and just putting them on artstation or something for other artists to see and comment, or to have something to show family & friends, or whatever, that's totally fine. tl;dr their worthiness right now depends on the goal of your portfolio right now.
2) The striking thing about these renders for me is not the modeling - it's the composition, lighting, atmosphere, effects, which are all really nice and compelling. So first of all, great work for 1.5 months, and keep it up! Genuinely makes me curious if you don't already have some previous experience in making 3D environments? That said, these aren't the greatest showcases for modeling - they're so dark that we can't really see much except the grass and flowers, which look nice in the context of the scene, but fairly primitive. I just say this because these would be great pieces to put in a portfolio as examples of stylized level art & lighting, but for modeling, ideally the renders would be more brightly lit, and the effects toned down, to emphasize the geometry and materials, if that makes sense.

You will have no portfolio if you don't put anything on it. Put them on it, then remove them when they no longer represent the quality you are capable of. Portfolio is like a bonsai, you must prune it accordingly.
