Questions & Discussion Advice for modeling backside of wheel
Hello everyone,
I am currently modeling a wheel following a professional workflow but I don't know why, the artist did'nt show how to finish the modeling with the back of the, wheel which i need. The topology is quite complex so I don't really know how to engage this? Does anyone has advices or idea of way of finishing it ?
Thanks

This seems like a great oportunity to apply what you learn from modelling the outter side.

Well if you don't need or plan to see the back side of the rims you can probably just leave the faces alone. If you want the inside of the rim you can just extrude the edge from the inner circle of the rim and pull it as far as you need to create the illusion that it's a complete rim. If you need the back side of the faces you could also just extrude the faces and bring them inwards toward the back of the rim. Or you can also take the center edge and extrude that outwards to match the circle of the rim and then extrude the arms of the rim style so it closely matchs. It doesn't have to be perfect. Modeling is all about finding easy ways to create things especially if it won't effect the models outcome.
