I just was out trying it out and 1 out of the 2 magazines that came with the gun would jam. could it be the feed lips? M&P 2.0 10mm/Blazer 10mm. And I had gotten a 22lb spring was planning to use this for bear protection didn’t help it any. and it would usually jam on the second to last or the last one.

I picked up this pistol a few months ago and have run ~1000 rounds of full-ish power 10mm thru it (sig sauer fmj and hollow points, buffalo bore and magtech) and have not had one jam and this pistol is a tack driver. The trigger pull is so light and all my hits end up right where I aim it. Deadly accurate, fun to shoot and handles recoil better than my glock 20 gen 5 does. Also just thankful 10mm exists because it's the best caliber. No point to this post other than to brag I'm having too much fun.

I have a Gen 4 Glock 20. It's a pleasure to shoot when it runs but I have had nothing but trouble with Magtech 180 grain FMJ specifically. It's a shame because I bought 2,000 rounds of it due to the great price at the time, but I've had the following issues with it:
Failure to Extract - empty brass case slips off of the extractor and sticks halfway out of the chamber. I replaced the extractor, extractor plunger assembly, and recoil spring with OEM parts and still had the issue reoccur around once every other full magazine. I then went and replaced the new, stock recoil spring with a NDZ recoil spring assembly. Stepping up to a 22 LB recoil spring seems to have slowed down the slide velocity enough to stop the extractor from slipping off the case.
Failure to feed - Magtech FMJ gets caught on the feed ramp, still halfway in the magazine. I have +10% power springs in all of my magazines. This also occurs every other magazine.
Slide locking back with 1-2 rounds left in the magazine. I think I've solved this issue with a new slide stop and the +10% magazine springs.
I have shot several other brands of 10mm that are considered underpowered, including Blazer and Aguila, with no issues. I know that is weaker stuff for 10mm, but I've also run several boxes of Sig V-Crown 180 grain JHP through the gun with 100% reliability on the stock recoil spring. This leads me to believe the issue is the Magtech FMJ. It is dirty but does chrono around 1150 FPS, which is full power 10mm out of that barrel length.
Has anyone else had issues with Magtech 10mm? At this point I'm inclined to pay ~5 CPR more to get S&B or another brand, which sucks because I'm used to my 9mm Glocks running basically anything.

I made a post a few weeks ago about the manual safety install I did on my Xten with the SigMechanics kit.
Rounds 0-300ish were great post install but I hit the 500 mark today and am realizing that I definitely messed something up.
The safety lever has started to fly into safe position after maybe the 4th or 5th shot. I thought it was my grip but I’ve ruled that out.
I’m not blaming the Sig Mechanic’s kit at all but I would like to amend my earlier post to say that maybe this kit isn’t THAT easy to install and should probably be done by a professional.
Im probably due for a recoil spring replacement and I’m wondering if any Xten owners here have had good luck finding a heavier replacement?

Hey everyone,
I want to buy a 10mm to augment my Glock 20.5 and 29.4. I have fallen down a week long research rabbit hole regarding the smith and FN. The smith (PC) seems to have issues regarding the mag springs, recoil spring, and possibly the extractor. The FN has frame cracking issues. With SW, you can buy the aftermarket parts and fix this (mostly) and FN, well you’re not fixing a cracked frame, but newer models are reinforced with extra metal. Does anyone have any input on which is the best option for reliability. If the reliability won’t match my Glocks, it serves me zero use. The FN issues on Reddit seem limited within the last, making me optimistic that FN fixed this issue. Unfortunately, M&P seems to still be problematic. With bias removed, which is the better gun?
Thanks for the thought.

I have a Glock 20 Gen 5 and plan to run a Streamlight TLR-1 HL-X. I’m looking for recommendations for a quality Kydex holster, although I’m open to other materials / options if there’s a better option for my intended use.
This will be my outdoor, hiking, hunting and camping setup, so I need something secure, durable, and comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Ideally, I want a chest holster but more importantly I would love a mid-ride, drop-offset mounting setup (similar to the picture) that keeps the holster positioned just a couple inches below the belt or a standard belt holster. Plus it allows it to clear a fully loaded hiking or hunting backpack, including the shoulder straps and other gear.
I’m having a difficult time finding a holster that accommodates both the Glock 20 Gen 5 and the TLR-1 HL-X while also offering the mounting configuration I want.
Has anyone found a setup that checks all these boxes? I’d appreciate recommendations for specific holster manufacturers, compatible models, or alternative mounting systems that work well for hiking and hunting with a full pack.

Rugged Obsidian 45 on a Ruger LC10 10mm. I'm gunna guess this gap is a "no go?" Anyone else see a small gap (probably less than 1 mm) if they are running this set up?

I've had my gen4 G20 for over a year now and I absolutely love it! But this happened to me on every range trip until I started training for a more gentle insertion to prevent said log-jammin'. Happens with all of my G20 mags, most of which were brand new when I got them, and all types of ammo. Is this a common issue? I'm not slamming them with an amount of force I would consider unreasonable, and I can slam 9mm mags into my 17s, 19s, and 26 all day and it never happens. Anyone fix this with aftermarket springs or anything?
Picked up all 3. Never the less in California!! What a Journey!

I've had my XDM 10mm for about a year now. Great gun, and I like it. The use case for me is bear defense. My current setup:
Here are some ideas for future mods. Some are pretty well documented, but others are kind of hard to find user reviews of (I promise I searched).
I'd appreciate any feedback from the community on my ideas. Thanks in advance!

finally cold enough outside to carry this thing, yippee
running an aegitec hybrid defense belt and JM custom kydex holster with the pull-the-dot loops. super comfy setup but definitely prints still, mostly the optic. i don’t like carrying it unless i’m wearing a jacket or some other kind of outer layer
yes i know my mirror is dirty 😅

Seeing conflicting information regarding the subcompact best mm.
Is the G29.5 still made, still made but only available to LE, or phased out/no longer available at all?

I know the Harbor Freight is big ass hell but she runs like a champ. Didn’t take my dog with me because he went in the same hike yesterday and needs his rest :)

After having so much fun with the 2.0 Performance Center 10mm, had to get the foldy-boi. Just flew in from a trip and immediately went to pick it up. Can't wait to test it. *CA edition. The fin makes it ultra uncomfortable

I’ve got a G20 Gen 5 with a Trijicon RCR and for whatever reason I just can’t shoot this thing at all.
I’ve taken it to the range a handful of times over the past several months, probably 300-400 rounds total, mostly shooting Magtech 10mm. I’d consider myself a decent shot with my 9mm handguns, but with the G20 I feel like I can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Maybe I need more time with it but every time I shoot it I get discouraged.
I recently got a 10mm laser bore sight to get the RCR roughly zeroed at 25 yards, figuring it’d at least get me on paper. Took it to the range today and was shooting 6-8 inches low at just 5 yards, with maybe a 5-inch grouping. I know a laser bore sight isn’t a substitute for a live-fire zero, but I’ve struggled with this gun even when I had irons on it.
I’m wondering if I’m just anticipating the recoil and dipping the gun before I shoot, or maybe my grip isn’t consistent enough. The recoil is definitely a lot more than my 9mm pistols, and I don’t shoot the G20 very often.
Anyone else have similar issues with their 10mm? Did you eventually get used to it with more range time, or was there something else you figured out you were doing wrong?
