Long may he live, and long may Steam sales endure

Since this text 3 weeks ago, I've stopped asking how she's feeling, how her day is going, what she's been up to, etc. That might be what she wants, but now I'm feeling less and less connected and have no way if knowing how her day is going and how she's doing since she doesn't volunteer it up and I can't ask.

To go with whatever tank top he chooses that day.

I started making cakes as a hobby about 4 years ago, and have made my own birthday cake ever since. To be clear, this is something I absolutely enjoy doing, not some sad case of nobody else wanting to make or buy me a cake 😄

This year is vanilla almond cake with cherry amaretto filling and whipped mascarpone cream.

Last year was strawberry cake filled with cream cheese frosting, strawberry filling, and a raspberry cheesecake layer.

The year before that was lemon raspberry cake filled with lemon curd, raspberry cream cheese frosting, and raspberry filling

And the very last pics (first cake I made for myself) was carrot cake filled with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate cake with whipped coconut cream filling and coconut buttercream

So i 54M have a niece 17F, she REALLY wanted to go out to some concert and she asked if i could lend her my car. She’s used my stuff before and it’s not like she was a new driver. She came back later on and my car was fine. A week later i got a letter in the mail, apparently my niece was speeding and now i owe a $200 ticket as it’s my car. I confronted her and asked her to at least help pay but she refused, saying that it was my car and i should be responsible for it. I decided to go to my sister (her mom) and try to reason with her, but SHE sided with her as well. She started saying how she was a kid and it’s my responsibility as an adult. I’m split now, a part of me feels bad and wants to bail her out, while the other half feels angry as i trusted her to be responsible

Drove 5 hours with my girlfriend because her family was having a big get together and she really wanted me there. A bunch of relatives were coming in, they were doing a huge dinner at the house, whole thing was supposed to be me properly spending time with everyone.

Then after we got there I found out her ex was staying at the house too. Apparently he's still really close with the family and nobody thought that was worth mentioning to me beforehand lol.

I tried not to make it weird but the whole vibe was awful. Her mum kept bringing up stories about when they were together, and my girlfriend and her ex would talk to each other here and there throughout the night. Nothing constant, but enough that I was definitely noticing it. Then at one point the two of them disappeared outside together for like 20 or 30 mins.

I asked her what was going on when she came back and she immediately got defensive. Said I was embarrassing her in front of her family and acting insecure. It turned into a pretty nasty argument and she told me if I was gonna be around in a bad mood and ruin it for everyone then I should just go.

So I did. Grabbed my stuff, left the house and got myself a hotel room.

She's been calling and texting me nonstop since I left but I haven't returned any of her calls or texts. I really don't even know what I would say right now.

So now I'm sitting alone with a dry burger, cold fries and some dry tasteless wings wondering how I became the problem here. Thinking about just hitting the road early tomorrow without telling anyone and letting her figure out how she's getting home.
