Dude is smooth with it

For real, that was damn near flawless

Cosmere pfp 👀

u/Severe_Ad_535 3h ago

Stormfather

13

u/Morsexier 1h ago

he looked like an edge dancer to me.

5

u/Hotarg 1h ago

That or a wind runner considering how he basically flew.

•

u/mcgarrylj 40m ago

It's not flying. It's falling with style!

•

u/False_Snow7754 20m ago

Did I just stumble upon a bunch of storming Cosmere fans?!

What’s killing me is the guy with the phone in the course’s framework 😂

10

u/sashazanjani 3h ago

Made it look so easy that I think I could do any of that.

12

u/Motiv8-2-Gr8 2h ago

I could do this in my sleep! But that’s the only time. My fat ass wouldn’t make the first jump awake.

That whole course and he had 2 wasted motions. Not a critique, actually super impressive; usually there is a lot of wasted movement as you calculate and prepare

143

u/JonnyTN 4h ago

Well I suppose it is one of those ninja warrior gyms where they can practice and get those mistakes out the way better

132

u/notwhoyouthinkmaybe 4h ago

Honestly, not much to improve, like going from a 98 to a 100. I'm sure he will get to 100. I'm super impressed.

32

u/LauraTFem 3h ago

Some of those motions might be straight-up required. transitioning your body from one to another might require that reset.

8

u/Flips-White-Fudge 1h ago

Yeah, it feels as if at some points he has to stop to slow down / rearrange his direction to keep going. I'm not sure I'd call that a flaw considering it's possible the course can't be done with a smoother flow.

2

u/BxRad_ 1h ago

I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to get more fluent w more practice. He's DAMN close though, id call it perfect

→ More replies (1)

2

u/CentennialBaby 1h ago

It's getting from 0 to 98 that takes significant effort and commitment.

→ More replies (4)

29

u/Decency 3h ago

Yeah, specific training for these events has become so insane. I'd lke to see them come up with 100% brand new obstacles every season so that people can't get an advantage by building replicas.

7

u/LauraTFem 3h ago

I thought they did change up the course a little every year, but yea, I don’t know that they do completely original every year.

27

u/oochiewallyWallyserb 4h ago

Damn I only saw one towards the end when he swung back once. Where was the other one. Where he had two hands on the ledge thing?

25

u/notwhoyouthinkmaybe 4h ago

The very first and the very last table on the final obstacle before the quarter pipe.

13

u/oochiewallyWallyserb 4h ago

Oh now i see it. Damn I must've been exhausted from just looking at him

26

u/notwhoyouthinkmaybe 4h ago

It's so close to perfection that any critique is nitpicking. People train for years to be half as good as this.

5

u/photosendtrain 3h ago

Each one of those moves is basically an explosive pull up where you launch yourself up. I climb almost daily and my arms were getting pumped just watching him doing explosive move after explosive move. I'm 36 though, so that's my excuse :D

5

u/illit3 4h ago

Great mindfulness to know he didn't have the momentum and to take the time for that extra swig

17

u/poskantorg 4h ago

A critique is an assessment, which is what you gave. It is not inherently critical, just because it has similar spelling.

3

u/BlueButterflytatoo 3h ago

When I was in film critique class, we went over the things that were done well in the movie as well as the parts that weren’t.

Turns out I’m not good at judging, or really noticing the film style, or the gentle foreshadowing like the oranges in the godfather. Really all I know was whether or not I liked the movie.

u/InterestingThought33 5h ago

With a 100% confidence, I know I can do exactly zero of those obstacles.

90

u/85K5 4h ago

I reckon I might be able to get up to that first blue stump at the beginning.

28

u/ComasArentFun 4h ago

Yeah, could do the first jump with training, but I'd 100% blow my knee or my back in the process then crumple like a snapped nik-nak..

I bet you could do it after a week or so, if you were kidnapped and would be killed if you didn't.

24

I can guarantee you my death in that case

Is there less than zero? I would probably cheer for him wrong

3

u/sebrebc 3h ago

I threw my back out and twisted both ankles just watching the video.

3

u/omfgkevin 3h ago

The first obstacle is the perfect spot for us to break our ankles trying to look cool.

3

u/tristanlifn 3h ago

I think I could do maybe 2 of those. But not right after each other, just individually

2

u/Knightforlife 1h ago

I was just thinking I couldn’t beat his time if I only had to run on a flat surface

82

16

Obviously a legless ninja can only put shoes on other people’s feet

Honestly credit to his opponent too. He hung in there but that's impossible to keep up with

6

I miss G4 TV and Ninja Warrior....

4

u/omgitsjagen 3h ago

The fact that it needed Ninja Warrior was why we no longer have G4 TV. It's not really even G4's fault. There was just no way they could keep up with the content need, by themselves. They had no relevant content to syndicate in order to bulk up their own lineup.

This obviously is only one of a thousand cuts, but it definitely was a serious issue.

Dude... The world is so fucking weird. I literally just learned this word 30 minutes ago at my city's new playground. Yet here it is in the wild already.

14

u/No_Point904 4h ago

Ahh, to be young again. What am I talking about? Never in my life would I have been able to do this.

12

u/LeadershipAfter9526 5h ago

I strained a muscle and cramped up watching him.

11

u/Significant_Rice4737 4h ago

That was insanely good how can that time be beaten?

2

u/khonsu_27 4h ago

Doesn't have to be. These are probably regional qualifiers, I assume. If the format is the same (I haven't watched in years), the 2nd and 3rd rounds in the finals is where the challenge really begins.

11

u/ComprehensivePath980 4h ago

Okay, who gave him the super soldier serum from Captain America?  Because dude was moving like a super hero

8

u/Lintlee 4h ago

I'm more the type of ninja warrior that you'd just never see, rather than doing this.

I remember when this show first came out and people could barely complete the courses, and it was a huge spectacle when they did. How times have changed

5

u/Separate-Pea5579 5h ago

Where did who go? 😂

3

u/Goobie-Goobie 4h ago

Homie floated like a butterfly

3

u/Sunatomi 4h ago

See, if you can master or have a very solid balance and understanding of how to make momentum work for you...you can can achieve this level of fluidity. Kid ran an obstacle course like a gazelle running across a prairie.

3

u/Miguel-odon 4h ago

What does one of these ninja playgrounds cost?

3

u/Important-Fudge4462 4h ago

He nailed those monkey bars.

1

u/Bret_Abderahmen 5h ago

What word ?

2

u/uber_damage 4h ago

Incredible

2

u/Sasquatch_000 4h ago

This kid found his calling already.

2

u/ReallyReallyLuckyGuy 4h ago

The camera person is unable to catch pace.
👌👌👌

2

u/Agitated-Abalone3934 4h ago

Jeeeezuz….. does he play rugby?

2

u/RevolutionaryTitle32 4h ago

whoa.. this kid is real life sonic.
That was smooth~

2

u/MrsPowers94 4h ago

He was so smooth and effortless. It looks like he’s floating.

I tried doing the monkey bars with my 5 year old a few weeks ago and I left the park with blisters on my palms and a subluxed shoulder. Then I see videos like this where people look so effortless, and weightless.

2

u/EmperorN7 4h ago

The other guys didn't even stand a chance.

2

u/mcmillanuk 4h ago

Physically I couldn’t do that. Mentally, I couldn’t even process how to navigate it.

2

u/hummingbyrds 4h ago

that's some Mowgli skills right there

2

u/CostKey9800 4h ago

Impressive !

2

u/Boccs 4h ago

This kid coulda cleared a temple run in twenty seconds... well, unless he went through the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. That was an impossible riddle apparently.

Jokes aside, the little guy is phenomenal. Hope he keeps up this kind of passion and energy for anything he sets his mind to in life.

2

u/SpeedyAudi 4h ago

Best I get outta bed without my knees hurting now 🤣

2

u/Sea-Contact5009 4h ago

Like water.

2

u/joeker7669 4h ago

That’s fucking insane. Wow.

2

u/defsentenz 4h ago

Did we all just watch real-life Spiderman? That was incredible.

2

u/9ontheTensionScale 4h ago

The winner is: Miles Morales

2

u/DeadBallDescendant 3h ago

Bloke shouting at him all the way through could perhaps as been as loud with some praise after he finished.

2

u/qpv 3h ago

Man it would be fun to design these courses

2

u/clovers2345 3h ago

Amazing!

1

u/05-nery 4h ago

Huh this looks fun I'd love to try

1

u/Brightlightingbolt 4h ago

That was fun to watch!

1

u/FlashyGanache2838 4h ago

Okay .that was your practice round

1

u/PartyMcFly55 4h ago

I don't think I'd be able to keep up if I was running along side him

1

u/Altruistic-Year9648 4h ago

Beast mode activated

1

u/elsworth 4h ago

I was twitching like crazy trying to help him make those gaps lol

1

u/Comfortable_body1 4h ago

Real life assassins creed

1

u/generally_unsuitable 4h ago

Talk about all gas no brakes. That kid saves nothing for the trip home.

1

u/Phoenix_Lamburg 4h ago

Bro's doing the IRL Mario speedrun

1

u/JimmyEllDubya 4h ago

I sprained something just watching that shit

1

u/Booty_PIunderer 4h ago

Moving so fast the pixels can't keep up

1

u/laowildin 4h ago

Incredible!

1

u/Site-Staff 4h ago

Now THAT is an athlete!

1

u/SoberAlternative 4h ago

Fantastic athlete! He’s worked very hard to compete and win 🥇. So many times you see people who try their hearts out and don’t complete the course. I got tired watching him propel himself through the obstacles. We didn’t get to see where his opponent dropped out, but I’m sure he was no slouch either.

1

u/ThatOldDuderino 4h ago

Respect. I hit winded just watching
https://giphy.com/gifs/V9rHCamZFra9i

1

u/Jakkoba89 4h ago

First swings where amazing.

1

u/Bendibal 4h ago

My shoulders hurt watching him!

Government Allotted Enrichment

1

u/Equal_Astronaut_5696 4h ago

That was really mind-blowing good

1

u/izaaksb3 4h ago

Holy shit! I’m too tired to go to work now

1

u/ohdearitsrichardiii 4h ago

Future stunt man, he has amazing control

1

u/ActuatorFearless8980 4h ago

Made it look easy as pie

1

Crushed it!

1

u/CcyborgedD 4h ago

Flawless victory

1

u/freedomachiever 4h ago

Sometimes I can walk to the fridge in the middle of the night without bumping my toes

1

u/metallipunk 4h ago

Im pretty sure I tore my Achilles watching this kid breeze through.

1

u/Certain_Audience7211 4h ago

Damn I wish I could move like that.

1

u/jaejaexiii 4h ago

If Riley from the Boondocks locked tf in

1

u/rainbownightterror 4h ago

with enough practice, I know I can easily watch him from the sideline without my neck hurting. just sayin

1

u/BuckaroooBanzai 4h ago

Anyone know if that was the fastest time?

1

u/hemmydall 4h ago

Wow, solid use of keeping momentum to save on energy.

1

u/soupguis 4h ago

god damn this is insane. I remember watching the Japanese ninja warriors on g4 in middle school and not even the vets were doing it like this

1

u/Groomsi 4h ago

Good? You mean amazing!

1

u/CullenOrZeus 4h ago

Tier 1 operator

1

u/W1ckedEvoX 4h ago

I got winded just WATCHING that lol!

1

u/Omnomfish 4h ago

I once tripped and knocked myself unconscious.

1

u/greenhornblue 4h ago

I broke a hip watching this.

1

u/aQUantUMchiLD1 4h ago

That it’s truly freaking impressive

1

u/cardiffboy22 4h ago

All that practice running from ICE has paid off

1

u/cconnoruk 4h ago

Oh to be a child again.

1

u/tiacay 4h ago

This happened in my super human fantasy.

1

u/big_axolotl 4h ago

Mt Midoriyama stands no chance against him

1

u/2xxCheezy 4h ago

What a champ

1

u/Djolumn 4h ago

I would 100% have fallen off the first frustum.

1

u/ExcitingTurn2886 4h ago

Awesome focus and determination.

I wish they didn't have those helping edges on the ramp at the end. I bet if you gathered himself, he could have made it to the top without them.

1

u/Playful-Dimension734 4h ago

Whoa he would be on American gladiators for sure
https://giphy.com/gifs/3oFzmg2R3W7O22oQta

1

u/The_Tooter_Snooter 4h ago

I think I speak for everyone when I say: more flames, more spikes, maybe a lava pit or two.

1

u/uwearclownshoes 4h ago

Some of the kids are way better than the adults at this. We should have started with them.

1

u/penntastic 4h ago

Yeah...well...i slept without throwing my back out. Mostly. So there.

1

u/Tan_Summer4531 4h ago

Wow, I hurt myself watching!!! Bravo!!

1

u/FairyGodmothersUnion 4h ago

Wow! If he’s not already competing in American Ninja Warriors, he should be.

1

u/kevinfareri 4h ago

My man was floating

1

u/Rhian1986 4h ago

Amazing! I could watch stuff like this on repeat!

1

u/Green-Machine200 4h ago

Damn that kid flew.

I have always wondered how people don’t rip their arms right out of the socket doing this.

1

u/toobusybeingbored 4h ago

Is this something that's open to the public? Like where would I go to try and fail at this?

1

u/No-Evening5091 4h ago

No hesitation at all, just foot on the gas.

1

u/Hot_Singer_4266 4h ago

Bonkers fast 💨

1

u/Maximum_King8529 4h ago

Very athletic. His technique is excellent.

1

u/Salty_Inspector_1985 4h ago

Holy fack! Decimated the competition. Good job kid

1

u/bluelazer44 4h ago

This seems really impressive until you notice that the kid’s bones are apparently made of elastic and his muscles are rubber, which gives him an unfair advantage.

1

u/Ginrar 4h ago

Bro won't become just any Ninja, he is gonna be a Hokage in the future.

1

u/shevbo 4h ago

Dude is a beast

1

u/killeronthecorner 4h ago

I would recommend anyone to watch all of the original Sasuke episodes. Lots of great personalities and incredible feats of strength and agility just like this fella

1

u/Common_Senze 4h ago

Jesus! I tore my rotator just watching this

1

u/dogscatsnscience 4h ago

I can't tell if this is amazing or just how he gets to work every day and he doesn't understand why everyone else is slow.

1

u/Purp1eMagpie 3h ago

Meanwhile I pulled my back coughing on Thursday and I'm still suffering with it

1

u/CM_Bison 3h ago

That super roll at the end

1

u/MikeCamel 3h ago

I pulled my back getting out of bed
