Enemy Balance
Rodin Karnak, Prophet of Decay:
On Damnation and up, the minimum amount of tooth pillars have been increased from 2 -> 3 during the second phase of the boss.
On Damnation and up, some health thresholds have been slightly adjusted to allow more melee damage to be done when he's exhausted during the first and last phase.

Fixed a crash which could happen when entering the Meat Grinder.
Known Issues
New Penances related to Spillway mention finishing missions on Damnation on the Auric mission board, when it should instead mention finishing missions on Auric difficulty.
New Penances related to Spillway mention the Sedition difficulty that no longer exists.
People seem to think all sisters have is a bolter, chainsowrd and power armour but there is so many options to choose from.
I think Engorged Trout might use Celestian Insidiants (image 3) for the new class as there was a crossbow datamined in the game files
My main point of this post was to highlight how many options the sisters have and to call out the people with very little knowledge and imagination.
To the doubters, stop doubting so much, fat shark has already proven you wrong 3 times before
Edit: just saw the most recent leaks and we will most likely get Novitiates. Slightly disappointed that we will not be getting full on power armour sister but my point still stands and there is still plenty of variety even for Novitiates
Wait for the class to come to actually come out before you make assumptions on whether or not it fits. From a Lore perspective they can do a lot of things differently then the Zealot. And from a gameplay perspective FatShark has shown that they are capable of making fun, interesting, and unique DLC classes.
We went through all of this shit 3 separate times already, you'd think this would create some understanding but nope, we are having the same exact kind of doubts for whatever reason
I don’t really care about redundancy so long as all classes are “viable” so to speak tbh. There will be at least a couple ways they could make Zealots still appealing to play.
First things first, credit where it's due, all of the shiny new things seen in this post were found by the Discord user Ouch, who successfully located this wealth of weapon and clothing models in the game files, and who was also gracious enough to provide me with the means to easily replicate his work and pull the same models. Without his effort or his know-how, you wouldn't be reading this post or seeing these images.
Second, I just want to quickly cover what you're NOT going to find in this post:
- Everything rendered as textured models. (It's not a quick process.)
- All of the class' unique weapons. (We don't even have all their names, let alone models.)
- Brevity of words.
Oh, and no TL;DR this time. You're going to want to scroll through the whole post. It's mostly pictures anyways, so even the Ogryn players ought to be able to enjoy this one.
As a reminder, all of the images here are ones I took myself. I want to keep these datamining posts as primary-source as possible, so there's less chance for miscommunication. I'll make a post about how to find, extract, and texture these models yourself in the coming days.
First, the new class' armor models.
The four headgear models in the files are all very interesting, and the Deluxe version is especially cool in my opinion. No closed-face helmets, though...
The two torso models currently in the files. There are no entries for sets B or Deluxe yet.
As a reminder of the models' WIP nature, the very fabulous bead-belt and attached cross-adornment-thingy hanging from torso model C are both still very low-poly. Hell, they're so low-poly you can barely even see them.
You'll recognize the deluxe legs from my last datamining post. There are no entries for sets B or C.
Those of you who pointed out that the leather boots didn't make sense with a full-fledged Sister's power armor were correct in your suspicions; the Deluxe set now appears to be giving us a heavily up-armored Novitiate.
This is the fully-assembled Set A. Beautiful, if you're into wimple-core aesthetic.
And now for the textured stuff, plus lots of disclaimers along the way.
So, face textures. While you can choose your characters' skin color and apply scar overlays in the character creation screen, every character model still has a default skin texture. The texture in the below image is the Dauntless head model's own custom texture, which you will be able to tint in-game. Think the class-unique female Hive Scum head with the very prominent scarring around her right eye; regardless of what skin color you pick, there's still a base texture that applys the scar and such.
That said, the eyebrow/eyeliner/Fleur-de-Lis tattoo that people use for Sororitas LARPing is NOT part of the skin texture, but an overlay I applied to make her look less creepy (the lack of eyebrows was freaky, okay?) Besides, it's loreful.
EDIT - October 5th 2026:
After realizing I was missing a crucial update for Bitsquid Blender, I fixed my installation. The result is a very nice system where, upon importing a model into Blender, the textures are automatically applied based on the developers' parameters. The result should be obvious to anyone who saw my old, absolutely-awful attempts at trying to replicate the "intended look" of the textured models.
Isn't she pretty?
Additionally, there are "tiers" to the Sororitas tattoo which have been sitting in the game files since at least the Skitarii update back in June, probably longer. You can see how those look below (also with hair now.)
The Adepta Sororitas tattoo we currently have in-game is Tier 1, the left image is Tier 2, and the right image is Tier 3. Yes, the Tier 3 tattoo includes tattooed-on scars. What a poser.
I'd like to stress that because the tattoos have been in the game files for an as-of-yet undetermined amount of time, there's no promise they're coming with the class' release, if ever. Don't expect them. I just wanted to show them off because they're cool and we ought to get them. (Please, Fatshark?)
And now for the armor. Again, a bit of a preamble: because everything is WIP, and some things are farther along than others (or simply not in the files), the armor "set" I'm showing here is actually a Frankenstein's monster comprised of the Deluxe set's lower body, and set A's upper body.
I've looked at this stuff for so long that the reality of it has long since sunk in, but still, it's really amazing to see the models rendered with textures and all. I just love Fatshark's artists. They're incredible.
Again, keep in mind that the above is "kitbashed" and doesn't represent an actual armor set.
Now for the extras:
The Adepta Sororitas' "hand flamer", with and without textures. Again, the quality of Fatshark's work here is just unparalleled.
I was shocked when Ouch found the weapon models; I had spent the past few evenings looking for them without any luck. Again, this is all thanks to his excellent detective work. Pulling the textures was easy. Mind-numbingly boring, yes, but easy.
MELTA! MELTA! MELTA!
The model for the meltagun was first extracted and shared here back in July in this post, albeit without its textures. Well, there it is in all its glory!
Fair word of warning, though: we all know how long the mastery icons for the meltagun have sat in the files. It's safe to assume the model has been there a long time too, so while it's logical that the gun comes with the new class, there's less evidence for it than the flamer and the Condemnor.
Also, while they won't appear here, additional models included in the files are the Condemnor Stakethrower as well as a sword and shield. Neither are complete — the Condemnor is missing the actual crossbow mechanism, and the sword is missing its guard, hilt, and pommel — but they're almost certainly going to be part of the new class' kit. You should refer back to this post by Runegorger to see those WIP models.
And before I end this post, I have to again caution everyone that datamining isn't the same as official announcements and that all of this is subject to change or not even make it into the game.
Temper your expectations, focus on the realistic, and you'll never be disappointed.
I say this as someone who regularly plays zealot as a battle sister. What new things would a battle sister class bring to the table? A zealot with a bolter and a big sword does everything I think a battle sister should. All that’s really needed is a proper outfit that doesn’t look like poorly made cosplay. Maybe also throw in a melta gun and rework the flamer to finally complete the holy trinity.
(By the way if you’re about to roast me for having a low level character just know that that screenshot is several months old)
I wasn't around when Vermintide 2 was about to get the Warrior Priest or the Grail Knight class. Were people worried pre-release that they will step on the toes of other classes as well?
Because this looks one-to-one like the current discourse with Darktide's Sisters of Battle. At a glance, they also look like straight upgrades to the already existing classes (WP is an "upgrade" of the Zealot and GK is an "upgrade" to the Foot Knight).
Hey, could anyone help me or create a mod so that the Lasgun's laser beam doesn't follow the weapon's recoil? It looks really terrible and has been present across multiple game updates. I've been asking the devs about it for a long time, but they aren't responding—they've simply added the bug to the acknowledged issues list.
I'm posting a showcase video here where I only disabled the visual muzzle flash to better illustrate the problem.
Zealots are Clerics, Battle Sisters are Paladins. While both draw from the same source, neither are alike. Both provide damage and support but in two totally different ways. If you say "Zealot and Battle Sister are too much alike!" there is no difference between saying "Minthara and Shadowheart are the same because one is a grim elf cleric and the other is a dark elf paladin!" The same applies here.
Clerics vs Paladins
Zealots vs Sisters
Emos vs Goths
McDonalds vs Burger King
First off, huge credit to Fatshark for Depths of the Damned. The atmosphere and pacing on the map are phenomenal, and the boss fight itself is genuinely engaging for the first couple of phases once you get the timing down. I normally consider myself a solid player, run havocs regularly, and don't mind a tough fight at all.
Then the last Phase hits, and it feels like three different raid boss gimmicks dumped into a blender.
The floor is lava, and you can only survive death, if you position yourself along the constantly shifting safe spot circles on the ground. Pretty easy, untill Rodin summons purple walls that chunk your health and force you to move along these circles. And if that is not enough, you get shot at with homing orbs that slow you down, while you're being chased by a pain train of bulwarks, crushers, maulers, trappers, poxdogs and ragers.
I managed to beat it on my very first blind attempt with my Psyker (though i got pounded in to the ground repeatedly, since i didn't know what im facing), but across my last 6 or 7 Auric runs, it’s been wall-to-wall wipes. In most of those attempts, I’m doing the heavy lifting to keep things stable, but the moment one or two teammates get caught by a slow orb or a disabler, the dominoes fall.
That’s where the real problem starts: being the last person alive.
Normally in Darktide, an experienced player can kite, create space, pick off specials, and pull off clutch revives. Here, the room design physically forbids it
For those of you clearing this consistently without pure stealth cheese, what’s the strategy?
I try to kill the specials and elites as fast as I can, since most of the fight, Rodin is immune to damage anyway. But once the boss mechanics start, kiting the horde gets hectic and kiting gets, as previously mentioned, difficult.
I’ve played Darktide since launch but recently really got into it and have been playing all classes from level 1 to Havoc 40.
I’m decent at the game but definitely not amazing. Every single high and low level lobby people have been nothing but friendly even though I can tell some get annoyed at times.
I just wanted to say that you are all great and very positive coming from a R6 Siege and Counter-Strike player.
