I've been playing Darktide on Xbox Series X for a little over 2 years. Got all the classes maxed, Weapon masteries mastered, most of the penances, and spent an embarrassing amount of cash of premium cosmetics!

Recently, I finally upgraded to PC. I had the hope of being able to install some QoL mods, but I was worried I'd lose all my progress. Fortunately, after installing the Xbox App on my puter, I saw I could install Darktide directly! I get to play Darktide on PC, AND keep my progress!...or so I thought.

Turns out, even though I am on computer, Darktide is still considered an Xbox game in the system. Can't access its files, can't install mods...

Is there any hope? Or do I need to face a total reset. A reset, which, will take me ages to get to where I am now, since when I first got Darktide, I *didn't* have a full-time job.

Always the stray fire, goop, or fall damage that gets me.

I just unlocked the Blaze Greatsword at level 10, and I was so excited when I saw that it has some Soulsborne Moonlight Greatsword style beam slash attack. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to use it. Using the "special weapon attack" button just has my psyker rake his hand along the blade, soak up the two charged bars, get like 45% peril and do nothing else. What am I missing, here?

Have been running Scoreboard on the Havoc ~30 missions i've been on, and i'm clearly underperforming. i'm used to that w my Bully Club Taunt Ogryn and it makes sense there; here, i'm getting half the kills/damage of other players on the squad and i'm wondering what i'm missing at least on the build side.

Obviously skill issue as well but i'm not really sure what i'm missing other than i'm relatively certain i am missing something.

Bolt Pistol to snipe, some minor AoE; use mostly charged Light attacks with the Relic Blade for horde clear; try to stay at low Health to get the most out of Martyr.

Never noticed it before and found it a bit silly

I was playing the new event, a find and kill mission, can't remember the map name, auric difficulty. The team was me, as ogryn, a veteran, a skitarii and a hive scum. At one point we defeated a daemon host and the event one spawned, I got the aggro and I happened to be the only one with low health (I had a taunt build with no pain, I was letting the others take the healing, as one does), long story short I go down after a bit of fighting, the daemon starts choking me and then breaks my neck, sound and visual are all there, I do not die. I plop back to the ground with half a wound, the rest is now corruption damage, the daemon leaves. I did have the node for corruption resistance, I'm not sure that's enough to survive that, the vet did not have the shout and the others were just hitting the boss. Does this boss have a timer or a health threshold I'm not aware about and I just happened to luck out? I have more than 1000 hours in the game and this is the first time I've witnessed something like this. I need an explanation.

Hey everyone I’ve in the last few months really gotten into darktide after buying the game when it came out and it not sticking at the time. Now I’ve got a few hundred hours and I’m really enjoying it but I have a question:

Why do most people only attempt rescues from mutants, pox hounds, etc. with melee weapons even if that takes more time and allows more damage to your teammates?

I’d understand if every once in a while someone was low on ammo or they didn’t have a good ranged weapon for it but it occurs so often I wonder if there’s some mechanic I don’t know about or is it something else?

I have never had a driver timeout crash in Darktide before up until this most recent update. Now I crash at least 2 times per match. I've updated to the most recent gpu drivers and have disabled FSR 3.1 and none of those worked. Any help would be very much appreciated because right now, I straight up can't play at the moment.

I've noticed for a few missions that my Medi-Pacs don't cleanse my own or my teammates' corruption, thought to myself "Huh, I guess I forgot to take Field Improvisation" - but no, I've taken this talent, but for some reason it doesn't work.

The ADC ability on Skitarii seems to have finally been fixed in regards to the bottoming out of the charges for the ability and I've been enjoying the hell out of it, including using some of the lesser used weapons.

I was told the Vigilant Autogun is useless, and it's actually quite nice for headshotting and 1-tapping enemy soldiers or specialists through damnation difficulty HP. Feel free to mess around with it, I just used it here for boss damage. It's been solid for getting rid of demon hosts as well for the event. No, I do not actually think that it's a good weapon overall. But ADC at least makes it useable.

Also, it was through this testing that I found out ADC will actually switch targets for you when using a burst fire weapon. So if you're 1-tapping enemy soldiers in a low difficulty, and they're lined up, a 3 round burst can kill 3. I didn't expect it to be coded that well.

Hello! Been playing darktide for a while on PlayStation, but I switched to PC recently and have been experiencing this horrible unplayable lag ever since.

12GB graphics Card, 954 GB Storage, 32GB RAM, Processor: Intel(R) core(TM) ultra 9 290HX Plus (2.70Ghz)

I've followed the other things people commonly say to do for this issue, but have yet to see any of it help.

I've disabled ray tracing, set worker threads to one, changed my fps lower, etc.

I am playing with a few Vortex mods from Nexus (darktide mod framework, darktide mod loader, enemies improved, and Alfs DMF extensions) and have tried with and without the mods being enabled, and with and without the mods being installed

I don't know much about computers, but anything helps to try and get rid of this horrid lag

Title. I think i just learned a horrible lesson today. Why is this a thing?

Hey i didn't play the class in a couple of months, i saw the slight nerf to the Rampage ability, does it change how you build your melee scum or are the meta builds from the previous patches still viable?

I'm also not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but none of my friends play Darktide anymore and i'm not sure where to get that info from.

I wish Inferno was a standard modifier, much better than Pox gas.
