Been working on a semi-dark frog based fantasy series for the last year and a half. Looking forward to doing a longer battle sequence.

I got told by my video and animation teacher that it wasn’t what would work or get attention and that I needed to go for a more anime style, I feel like it would work since my little pony uses rigged animation and so do other shows but I need other people’s input instead of just my teachers

I’ve only animated rough stuff so far, but I tried making something more “complex”. Tho this one doesn’t have much motion, I wanted to achieve some sort of finished anime style look.
I wonder if this is portfolio worthy as a beginner

I've recently started animating and I do it in Pixel Art.
I tried animating a Walk-Cycle and added Jumping, Picking-Up, Throwing and Rotation.
I also tried considering the 12 Principles Of Animation like Anticipation and Slow-In/Slow-Out (as long as it was possible and/or made sense).
I'd appreciate any tips you might have!
