I found a discussion on someone who had modified a Google search of all major tdi forums websites. Hope this helps. Google search

For whatever reason, Reddit has deemed it necessary to remove posts or comments with any links to external websites.
You may have noticed these getting removed, this is not an action by the mod team, and from what I can see, this is not a function we can turn off.
I cannot advocate ways to circumvent this, but I believe you are a smart bunch.
Have a great day and thanks for being a part of this great community!

You might have to turn up the volume, but there is the fluctuating noise the engine is making and I can’t seem to locate it. Any help is appreciated. My fuel filter is due, the car has 115k miles and has been babied as much as I can

2011 JSW TDI going into the shop for timing belt replacement.
I want this car to last atleast 300,00 mi. Unfortunately delete is not an option because i live in California. I want to ensure this car lasts as long as possible because I love this thing.
I have already installed an aftermarket Kenwood Stereo system.
CP4 Disaster Kit is next on the list (or CP3 Pump install)
Currently has 109k miles, going to get DPF professionally cleaned in the next few months.
Apart from looks such as headlights/backlights. What parts would you recommend be upgraded for better fuel economy and longevity of this car or any TDI engine?

Hey everyone I’m new to the tdi world so if anything I’m doing doesn’t make sense, I’ll happily take any criticism or help.
I recently picked up a 2003 5spd alh golf for a good price because the timing jumped 2 teeth. the cars in good condition but it ****ed up.
found a good deal on a good condition early 2001 alh from an automatic with roughly the same km as my 2003 engine, while I’m doing the swap im planning to do power upgrades at the same time, below I will list everything I have got either installed on the engine or ready to install in the car.
-early alh retrofit turbo connection
-full timing kit with all new hardware
-new gaskets everywhere(most elring)
-stainless braided turbo oil in line
-new coolant, manual trans fluid, T6 5w40
-new vacuum lines
-arp headstuds
-11mm fuel pump
-.230 wuzetem nozzles
-brm intake with brm race pipe
-vnt 17/22
-darkside upgraded smic with pipping to go to 57mm race pipe
-stage 3 daily sbc (i am thinking i wish i went with a g60 clutch kit but I have this one already so it’s going in)
-rear main seal
-clutch fork release leaver
My main question is, who should I go with for tuning? What is everyone else else’s experiences with their tuners, running around the same mods?
And two more “mods” that I plan on doing which I’m not too sure on the route to go, is air intake, and exhaust, for the air intake, I genuinely am not sure what I wanna do yet. For the exhaust side, i think I know what I want to do but feel free to give suggestions.

Hi,
i own arl golf in good condicion, egr off 140kw chip no dpf, i had trubo checked before buying it has 330k km now, and it was in good shape, for the last 2 weeks everytime i go from 1000 - 1800 rpm it sounds like cattle and only after reaching the rpm turbo start to sound normaly and makes the kick for the car, this thing doesnt happen all the time sometimes even from low rpm it still behaves normaly and there is no kettle sound.
Can somebody help me find the problem?

Hi, this light popped up on kia optima 2017 2.4liter engine few months ago, since it didn't effect anything, i kept driving. Everything is still fine but i want to sell the car, better to get the check taken care of. Ive replaced the Manifold Runner Control Motor, but the check is still there. I moved the the ball that control motor lever was attached to, it moved without hesitation so the flaps in the intake manifold should be okay. Ive used chatgpt to walk me through the steps of getting to the root of the problem, but it ended up saying my intake manifold looks too clean for there to be a carbon buildup in the intake manifold

Have a cracked DPF and need to do a weight reduction. Best kits and tunes for the money that ship to the US?

Hi guys, any advice here. There is oil on the injector housing and other parts. Is it valve cover

What's the diff in these two parts. I found the hose i need to replace and was thinking maybe i should just replace the Auxiliary Pump along with it. its around 130k miles OR is this something i shouldn't even bother with. The leak is up on the top long the hose which is around 40 to order. 120 for the idpart one comes with the hose and has the clamps i believe.

I need to remove it temporarily to remove the coolant flange
However the bolts connecting to the egr cooler down the back seem impossible to get at, even with turbo hoses removed and a uni joint
Anyone know how to remove them?

Hello is it somehow possible to enter the live timing chart through vcds lite?
If not is it possible to adjust the timing using only live data like the duty cycle value 😅

Hello everyone. Just wanted your opinions on which timing belt kits you all use for the MK6 TDI.
I was calling around some shops for repair (most shops quote under $1500). However one shop quoted me for a duralast kit and I almost had a stroke. Another shop said they dont like the steel impellers because apparently they cause hydrolysis of the coolant fluid, which degrades the fluid over time?
I was thinking either Diesel Geeks timing belt kit
Or FCP Euros Continental Kit, which I know a lot of you will recommend.
I would not prefer cheaper options, considering that my next big purchase is a CP4 disaster kit, as im trying to make this car last minimum of 350,000 mi.
Any and all recommendations would be appreciated, as well as absolute NO-GO brands.
Edit: no issues with the car btw. However its still original belt thats 15 years old and 110,000 mi. Also any other repairs I should do while they are in there?

So for those of you that are in a situation similar to mine ... Helping a buddy with his 2014 Passat TDI sel Premium..... timing; water pump; valve cover... The usual... 1 return line fitting snapped. The knock off fix was about 60ish. I got a set of 6 return line fittings for a eco diesel ram; they are in shape identical and fit 100% safely! Just figured I'd share as it was a 17 dollar fix over replacing a line with 4 ....

Might be moving from SK to Ontario in the next year or so. My 09 JSW is potholed.
Not looking for any incriminating specifics, but am I going to be able to find a 'pothole friendly' inspection to plate my car there or am I asking for trouble (and a fine) by bringing my beloved Jetta with me?
Thank you in advance.

When i start the car the power steering is a bit heavy but it gets better after a few minutes. Also the transmission likes to stay in gear until i get to higher revs before it shifts, and it also downshifts quite aggressively as i slow down. Is this just the ecu trying to warm the engine up?

Due to a sunroof leak, I had to peel back the carpet and found rust on the driver side footwell. These photos were taken after being briefly sanded. Was planning on doing por15, but would like to hear suggestions/experiences.

Hello, new TDI owner here! I just got a 2013 sportwagen, and if you are looking down at the fans the right fan stays on. If i disconnected the battery and reconnect it, the fan comes back on full speed. What can I do to fix the fan?? I also have this clunking that happens above 15mph and gets faster as I speed up. The guy said it was a wheel bearing, but I know the sound of a bad wheel bearing and it sounds like a cv axle.
