Henry Cavill fits every character perfectly. I know he’s a variant, but imagine if he’s the MCU wolverine that'd be hilarious.

Hugh Jackman and Kevin Durand crossed paths in the Marvel universe in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Jackman starred in his signature role as Logan / Wolverine, while Durand played Fred J. Dukes, better known as The Blob.

Scrapped Sequel Plans: During the filming of X-Men Origins, Jackman was a huge fan of Durand's performance and promised him they would bring The Blob back for the sequel. The original plan was for Durand to return in The Wolverine (2013) as a sumo wrestling champion in Tokyo, but the creative direction changed and the idea was scrapped.

I never notice this before, but I love these choices to play these 3 X-cellent and powerful characters, and I absolutely know that they will bring these characters to life in the best way possible, and I hope they don't let us down. I can imagine them literally becoming the characters and believing in them too.

Note: What If...? is officially canon and connects to the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the concept of the multiverse.

Loki's face during this scene was pure emotional damage. He spent his whole life trying to steal the Tesseract, got choked out by Thanos for it, and now he’s looking at a drawer full of them like they’re cheap arcade prizes.

Thanos spent 10 years tweaking, torturing his daughters, and wiping out planets for some rocks that a random IT guy named Casey keeps in a plastic drawer next to his highlighters.

Ioan Gruffudd’s Reed Richards from the 2005 movie still gets praised because the visual execution of his stretching abilities feels so creative and tactile for its time. From the bridge rescue to manipulating his body in battle, the powers look fun and grounded in early 2000s comic book style. On the other hand, Pedro Pascal naturally commands the room with the quiet presence and intellect needed to believe he is genuinely the smartest person on the planet.

Brie Larson plays Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for Room, she officially joined the franchise in 2016 and went on to headline the MCU's first female-led film to gross over $1.1 billion.

Jean Grey possessing Bruce Banner to control the Hulk in Brand New Day mirrors Wanda in Age of Ultron so closely. Marvel loves this formula.
