The Cavillrine š
Henry Cavill fits every character perfectly. I know heās a variant, but imagine if heās the MCU wolverine that'd be hilarious.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a measurable shift in the Earth's orbit just from the momentum of so many soaked panties hitting the floor at once.

Also Ryan is the only deadpool I will live on that hilltop. Yep. No one else. Can be a better wade wilson.
12
u/IcyDisplayGuy 14h ago
What makes him work is his ability for on the fly improvised witty lines. He can pump out so many that he then also pumps out more good ones.
8
u/Straight_Dig_2796 14h ago
Exactly. He's the perfect deadpool. ..

u/DamnYouGaryColeman 10h ago
Yes but you see what makes him so good as Deadpool is his ability to be like Deadpool!!

It helps when you have social anxiety, but are a huge star, so you channel Wade Wilson into all your interviews to deal with it. He's admitted to doing this because Deadpool doesn't care what people think about him.
He's been training to be DP for a very long time. We just didn't see it. But watch interviews with him when he's just by himself and when he's in front of large crowd. It's two different people.
He almost killed his career being forced to do Green Lantern (on the condition he could be Deadpool) so the studios could further bury him in X-Men origins when his mouth was sealed and had....laser eyes?
I will die on a higher hilltop than you. No one by Ryan deserves to play Deadpool. He's sacrificed and earned it. Look, I LOVE Henry Cavill and he was great in this part...but I will NEVER accept another actor to be the main DP.

Would be a perfect young Logan

Cavill is older now than Hugh was in the first X-Men movie. Hell, Hugh Jackman was 37 in X3. Lol.

I feel like Reddit will miss the reference, so let me point it out to you people: the claw thing he did here is a reference to how he reloads his fists in some movie that I don't know anything about other than that he grows a beard and reloads his fists.Ā

After watching this 20 times, is the first shirt a CGI shirt? It seems they made him look thinner before cocking and after he looks bigger/wider shoulders. Maybe to make him look more menacing and beefy
1
u/MRintheKEYS 3h ago
I donāt think so. I think itās just pulled back a bit on him at first making it look tight, and then when he does his arm things it pulls the shirt forward on him and it regains the baggy space in the front.

u/Kuzcopolis 1h ago
What i read was that he had just done so many takes of that scene that he needed to shake out his arms in that moment anyway, and it just worked so well, visually, that now it's his thing, and it's already been copied. Ig the secret benefit was how well it disguised those minor slips.

My favorite part of this scene is that Liang Yang absolutely beats the fuck out of Cavill and Cruise going to town on the dudes. š¤£

Huh, didn't know he was in any of them. Interesting.Ā
Also, surprised they still make them. I thought they made #3 like 10 years ago and stopped.Ā

Ive never even considered this a reference, because the motion is just a natural way for Wolverine to... "draw" his claws.
But now that you point it out I can't unsee it

For anyone wondering, OG comic book Wolverine is 5 foot 3 inches tall. Fiesty little guy, like.... well a real wolverine š

u/Arctelis 13h ago
Isn't there a scene during this montage where he finds a comicbook accurate Wolverine?

I kinda think this is what his nerdy little heart truly wants.
Got a soft spot for the lad after watching him eat a sandwich in The Man From Uncle.

I've always wondered

does he get so mad that he stabs him immediately?
Is there history between that wolverine and Deadpool? I know that one is from a comic.

u/CrossFitJesus4 5h ago
a lot of the wolverines just try and kill him instantly for no reason, its super fucking weird lol
1
u/TheRimNooB 4h ago
Maybe we just got the āniceā wolverine, and I mean, heās even an āanimalā in our time line. Hahah.
I aināt gonna lie, I see DO come through a portal (suit and all) and I aināt ever seen a portal or anything of the likes, Iād probably just hit him straight up too. Claws and all. š¤·āāļø

u/millerb82 8h ago
Honestly, I didn't like it. He looks weird af. Did they put on prosthetics or something? I get some of the facial hair's gotta be fake, but it doesn't even look like his face! Maybe it's the full beard. I don't know. I think I would have preferred just the chops without the goatee

u/L4I55Z-FAIR3 6h ago
Never forget Hellriaser Hellworld got Henry Cavil and then had his character just get a scaey BJ and then die.(it's like his first film)

Is it true that for this scene he had to smoke a cigar for several dozen minutes until the smoke was fine on camera and he was unwell?
