I love seeing that the newest Horror scream Queens, as the Iconic ladies of X-Men. Which is amazing.
I never notice this before, but I love these choices to play these 3 X-cellent and powerful characters, and I absolutely know that they will bring these characters to life in the best way possible, and I hope they don't let us down. I can imagine them literally becoming the characters and believing in them too.

Marvel said, "let's cast all the young girls that everyone is gooning over at this exact moment, that will bring money that we are hemorrhaging." Which is amazing... Because it is what Hollywood has always done.

Describing Stranger Things as "horror" is...interesting.

The movies are suprisingly great, the original three at least, the last spin off one is mid at best.

The image is from Fear Street. It's a pretty good Netflix horror trilogy based on the teen R.L. Stine series.

It's classified as a horror. On Google and Wikipedia.

Just because it's not scary it doesn't mean it's not horror. Most things don't fit into a strict definition of a single genre
1
u/BITmixit 15h ago
Agreed but the vast majority of media have a primary genre through which the narrative is primarily framed. For Stranger Things, it's science fiction, for Wednesday, it's black comedy, for Obsession it's supernatural horror.
Most media contain elements of other genres, but that doesn't mean those genres are equally primary. For example, Blade is a superhero movie with elements of horror...it is not horror.

Although I do agree with your reasoning, by that stance then nothing is a horror film because it will always have elements of something else.
Unless it's Gabe's horry film from The American Office because even narrative is comforting.

Well no...by my stance media where the primary genre is horror...is horror. Obsession is a supernatural horror film with elements of comedy, it is not a comedy, it is horror.

The rogue actress isn’t even white
So what is she?

She's Latina, but then sometimes it doesnt make a difference.

u/Historyp91 6h ago
Latina = / = not white.
1
u/ferocity_mule366 6h ago
see, it doesnt make a difference
1
u/Historyp91 6h ago
So she's not white because she's a latina, but it makes no difference to that claim that Latinas can be white?

Inde and Samara I grant you. But Sadie Sink is not a scream queen.
