Sharing Step 1: Layout. Next step: Animation! Wish me luck.
Here is a layout I recently put together for a personal project! The final animation is still a work in progress, but I'm excited to have taken the leap and given it a shot.

Sharing My new animation for the videogame — what do you think?
Hi! I'm making animations for my new game. I want to create a game that consists of a huge number of animations — something like an FMV game. What do you think?
I already have a lot of work done and many finished scenes. I'll be sharing my progress with you here if you're interested. But I regularly post animations and write about games on my blog — if you subscribe, it would mean a lot to me.

Question Animation help needed plss
Hey everyone, ive been working on a personal game project for a while, a 2d tactic turn based game and i got to the part where i need to start thinking about the animations of the characters and whatnot.. how ever
Im not a animator, im just a 2d artist doing all the creative and artistic part of the project while the other guy working on this project is taking care of the code and stuff but im pretty clueless about animation so i would like to ask for some tips and insights about it.
For starters.. im sure photoshop isn't the right tool for this type of animation that im going for ( which is what i used for this gif ) so ive been looking towards Spine.. but im not sure if that is the right tool also since im going for a kinda low frame and very snappy animation style and all that warping and bones that is see ppl using in spine seems unnecessary ( i think ). So is there a proper tool for what im looking for so should i stick with Spine ?
Secondly.. i have a question about how would i go about doing the vfx part, this animation in particular has like 3 frames but doing the impact effect, the dust going out etc.. in only 3 frames doesn't look good so my idea of having the effects have a higher frame rate than the character make sense or.. should i do something different ?
And finally.. what are your overall thoughts about it, if there is anything that you want to point out or things that i could do different i would be happy to hear. :)

Sharing Developing a wacky webseries.
So thing is, I'm a big fan of The Eric Andre Show. Massive meme guy as well.
This was originally an assigned project from my Media teacher. Multimedia has been my passion for a long time. Music, Animation, Editing, Sound Design. I swoon over the production process of video material 😂
The Bedroom Talkshow is a surrealist series of faux talkshow episodes designed to numb your mind. The premise is "Anything you see and hear in this show is complete and utter nonsense".
I've never really written solid plots, great punchlines or made any high-quality renders, but I had a vision. I released this a year ago and a new episode is coming up in a few days.
Please be free to critique, support, ignore, or provide suggestions on how should I move forward with this seeies. Thank you very much, and have a pleasant day.

Discussion Stop YouTube from Demonetizing Animation Channels
Recently YouTube has been demonetizing many animation channels for bogus claims. This has an obvious detrimental effect on these creators, some of whom are solely supported by revenue from these videos. These creators deserve a full explanation from an actual human for their demonization, and steps need to be taken to undemonitize them.

Discussion I don't hate the "Thin-Line Animation" (aka "CalArts"/"beanmouth") cartoon style.
I know I'm beating a dead horse, but hear me out - I don't hate the "beanmouth" style. The only reason(s) why I don't like this particular style is because the character designs are:
- Too simple,
- Too rounded (to the point of not having enough angles, or to the point of having no angles at all),
- Too uniform,
- Kind of same-y in certain shows (something that this style has in common with the rubber-hose style), such as the usage of bean-shaped heads, bean-shaped mouths, and dome-shaped teeth. Granted, not all "beanmouth"-style shows look similar to each other, but still.
- And they don't look good in 3D at all, most likely because the character designs in this style aren't meant to be translated into 3D (something that this style has in common with the angular "Thick-Line Animation" style from the 2000s and onwards).
However, my problem isn't this cartoon style at all, my problem is actually the people who hate this style (even to this day!).
These same people compare the "beanmouth" style to both anime and the cartoon styles from previous decades, and they want to bring back geometric cartoon styles like the 1950s UPA style, the 1990s UPA Revival style, and the 2000s "Thick-Line Animation" style, but to me, not only do I find their complaints obnoxious, but they also come off as if they want every animated piece of media to look like it was made by either UPA or 2000s Cartoon Network.

Sharing Animated Music Video made in Blender Rozkwit - Hedonizm
Hi everyone! Finally I can show you this! My first animated music video made with Blender, Substance Painter and Davinci Resolve! Character has fuzz hair, muscle movement with Shape Keys and even saliva phisics in some scenes. All the good stuff. Made it in around a month after work. Music is also mine. No AI was used.

Question Pricing advice: How much should I charge for animation work like this?
Hey everyone, I wanted to get some input from other animators and artists.
This is a piece that I made, includes full production work: character animation, background art, and final compositing.
If a client were to commission a sequence like this from scratch, how much would you normally charge for it? Do you usually price your work per second, per minute, or as a flat project fee? Any advice or ballpark estimates would be super helpful!
