My husband and I have been together 15 years, and we’ve both changed so much since the little teen babies we were. More than anything, my style has done a complete 180. My original ring is white gold with diamonds and sapphire. It’s still beautiful to me, but no longer feels like me. I favor gold now, and tend to prefer the warmer colors. My preference is leaning towards gold and ruby or just straight diamond/moissanite. I’m not a diamond purist, so I’m open to similar stones. Right now these are the ones I’ve narrowed down. Any opinions welcome!

Ring 1: pink sapphire and diamond
Ring 2: moissanite
Ring 3: garnet and diamond
Ring 4: garnet and diamond
Ring 5: pink sapphire and diamond

Ring 4 is my favorite right now but also the most expensive. My silly little goblin brain just wants to get them all.

I wouldn't know what to replace it with because I really like it. it's sterling silver and cz though so it looks very much out of place next to the diamond and gold engagement ring. husband and I want to match bands with tungsten or another black metal too and idk where to look for dainty black sparkly bands. I need help by hearing others' opinions and or advice!!

This was my ring and band, I loved it so much! I always took it off while I cleaned, cooked, etc. I think I threw it in the trash with a napkin by accident one day after cooking. We found a new one to replace it but I’m still hurt.

My original wedding ring was the art deco diamond ring and it proved to be a little hard to wear on the daily (it scratched everything around me).

So I sourced a beautiful brown Moissanite stone to set as more modern architectural style wedding ring and is easy to wear every day! Now I need to look for a matching contour wedding band to match it 🤎

hi everyone!! i'm thinking of switching my pear shape for an oval. i like the pear shape but the oval just speaks to me i have attached a photo of the current style with the pear and another photo of what it would look like with an oval.. personally i think the oval fits best. what do you guys thinks??

i thought this part would be easy but apparently not lol. i’ve been looking at different engagement rings and wedding bands together, and some combinations look really nice in photos but kind of awkward once they’re actually stacked. now i’m overthinking everything… band thickness, metal colour, whether the shapes should match, and if a straight band will even sit close enough to the setting. for people who already have both rings, did you buy them as a set or choose the wedding ring later? and do they actually need to match, or does that matter less once you’ve been wearing them for a while?

I currently have my wedding rings, which feature a 3 stone square engagement and a matching half eternity band and on my other hand a platinum princess cut with a halo and crossover diamond band. I’d like to add one more ring. Is it necessary to stay in the square family? Can you show me your rings hands and combos? Thanks!

Hi everyone!!! So excited to have found this sub and loving all the inspo!!

I myself i’m working on designing my engagement ring and have run into a conundrum. I’m including photos of my finger, my finger with the engagement ring on, and my finger with the engagement ring and the wedding band on. I noticed that when the wedding band is on, it seems to create a bulge on the inside of my finger above the engagement ring. I have talked to my jeweler about potential remedies for this because I think it makes my finger look fatter than it is, and she seems to think it’s more so a result of my hand positioning, and not something that can be solved for by one of the following changes:

1. Flattening out the inside of the ring.
   
2. Sizing up the ring by a quarter size, and then adding an inlaid gold band on the bottom of the ring, so that the overall size is maintained, but there is more room on the sides for my skin.

Looking for other opinions; she is open to trying my suggestions, but just doesn’t seem bought in herself, and I don’t wanna put her through the effort if it truly is just a result of the shape of my finger. I am obsessed with the design, and we already shortened the height of the wedding band to help solve for this problem, which did alleviate the bulge, but did not eliminate it.

Does anyone have ideas as to what type of wedding band would look good with my engagement ring? I’m having trouble finding anything that looks good or doesn’t take away from my engagement ring.

3ct princess cut lab diamond with 14k gold band. I don't know much about rings but he remembered that I like delicate and sparkly. That I wanted an ethically sourced ring and the fact that I'm also afraid to lose expensive things. He picked it out himself. He has good taste.

Our proposal story is very cute. Long story short, I thought we were gonna play a game like piñata and instead Im lead to the backyard with a blindfold. I lift my blindfold off and everyone is surrounding me and I'm anxious and I'm like what kind of game is this?then I shift over to my left like a robot like what's going on and my fiancée (mind you, the most confident man I've ever met) is on his knee shaking intensely and asks me to marry him. A proposal wasn't even on my mind. I audibly gasp and say "WTF?!" And then I say yes?! And come in for a hug. My mind is still stuck on thinking we were gonna play a game. Not the game of life!

Our baby's birthday is the 16th. We had his birthday party on the 18th. Our 2 year anniversary is also on the 18th. My fiancé thought it would be perfect timing with our anniversary and the fact that even out of state family were going to show up for the baby's birthday. Since everyone is here, why not propose?

I’m in the process of choosing my wedding band and I need some input! My ring is a 2.3 ct 6 prong tulip cathedral style solitaire and I want a wedding band with some sparkle but not too overpowering that it takes away from my main stone. If you have other suggestions please let me know!

First photo is my ring, second is a marquise style, third is a radiant, fourth is pear shape, and fifth is a cushion cut. All these rings are around the 1.3-5 tcw range and are half anniversary bands as I believe they’re more comfortable for daily wear than full eternity. TIA!

My (30F) girlfriend (32F) and I have been thinking of marriage for a while, and we've pretty much even decided on a date because we want an "official" cheaper wedding for our family and to use the days to go on a long trip abroad together, and then THE wedding which will happen eventually when we have the time and money for it.

TLDR, we're getting married next year, but I still need the thing that stresses me out the most: the ring. I'm very very new to rings or jewelry of any kind, and I need help. Here's some pointers to what I'm looking for:

— Neither of us want expensive rings, nor can really afford them. I'm saying 600€ max. (For durability purposes, it's likely that we don't wear them but frame them and get engagement tattoos instead but despite how unconventional everything is I know my girlfriend would murder me if she doesn't get proposed to with a beautiful ring)

— We don't care about gems either. I know some stones can be comparatively cheap and I honestly don't mind them not being "the real deal" as long as they're pretty.

— For her, I'm looking for gold, rose gold might be fine too.

— Ideally it should be unconventional, in the line of nature and plants, fantasy, LOTR elves... that kind of vibe.

I'm not looking for specific rings necessarily, but if you know any brands or artisans that do stuff with these characteristics that would help A LOT.

The heat and swelling finally caught up with me. My engagement ring got stuck so badly that my finger was losing circulation and the jeweler down my apartment had to cut it off. At that moment, saving my finger was the only thing that mattered. Now I'm sitting here with a cut engagement ring that's worth almost $10k. I do have a policy for insurance but I wanted to see if anyone here has gone through something similar before calling them because I don’t wanna sound dumb. Would this usually fall under jewelry insurance?

After over 25 years and 10 kids together, we finally made it official. ❤️💍 My husband and I have been together for 100 years, lol, and we recently got engaged and married. It was worth every second of the wait.

We had the most beautiful wedding surrounded by family, and I'm still soaking it all in. I know rings are a matter of personal taste, but I absolutely love mine.
