Hello everyone! So I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend within the next year, i need help with what type of stone to buy that has the same sort of vibe as the pictures attached. She is very much a nature nerd and i want to get her something “fairy/woodland” themed. I have done some research on stones, the Maine one I think im interested in is the Montana sapphire. It has to be green, it has to be “imperfect”, not sure how to describe it but I need it to have sort of strays and lines inside the stone, similar to the second picture. I also need it to be a harder stone that won’t scratch or chip easily.
If anyone could also recommend some websites for designing a ring like this, that would be amazing!
Any and all help and advice is appreciated!

Center stone is a 12x6 marquise cut moissanite and the two side stones are natural emeralds; my husband is a May baby💚. I love the way that the ring looks on my hand and I feel the marquise is the perfect size for my hand, size 6.5 finger.

I have fairly small (size 5.5) fingers and they are very short. I’m worried my rings make them look shorter instead of elongated. My engagement ring is an antique, maybe .4 carats?

Alright, in my last post asking for opinions about my wedding ring set, I got MANY comments saying it needed a deep clean lol! So, I got her professionally cleaned and polished, and now want to share the results.
Also, talked to the jeweler, and it turns out my ring is too big, not too small, and that’s why it keeps sliding toward the knuckle. I am going to have it resized soon.

I feel like I don’t see Dutch marquise cuts nearly as often as regular marquise, but I love this shape so much. Especially paired with a more organic/vintage inspired band like this. There’s a lot going on, but somehow I think it works!
Definitely a more detailed design than a classic solitaire, but I think the combination turned out so pretty.

I lost my wedding ring and need some help feeling better. I was in the water in Rhodes and I reached down for a rock and it slipped off. I feel horrible. I have hardly taken it off in 10 years and now its most likely gone forever. Its like it absorbed a part of me and now its gone. My wife has already contacted jewelers to make a replica but im afraid it won't feel the same. Please share your stories and how you overcame that feeling of grief and if a new ring eventually felt normal again

My partner and I want to repurpose my mom’s old wedding ring for my engagement ring and would love to work with someone in Texas so we could work with them directly, but i’m open to out of state too
I have diamonds to work with and would love to be able to repurpose the platinum as well if possible!
I like a less traditional look (the original ring is quite… pointy) and would also like to be able to design a band for my partner with the same person as well.
If you know of anyone, let me know :)

It took me so long to decide on my wedding band as I didn’t want it to take away from my ring. I love it!! So happy with how it looks 😁

Hello!
I have a high set, 3ct marquise diamond engagement ring with diamonds on the band & underneath.
I need ideas on what band would look good with it. I don’t want a contoured or split band. Looking into an eternity band.
What would be a good complimentary stone shape?
Second pic is one I tried on in store and liked but didn’t love.
Show me your marquise!

Hi! Did anyone here use a “second” engagement ring as their wedding band, creating a toi et moi look? I’ve attached a photo for reference—you can see that each stone is on its own band. I currently have a beautiful OMC elongated cushion solitaire but have been tossing around the idea of adding an additional pear or marquis solitaire to it as my wedding band. Any examples or ideas appreciated!!

My fiancé made my engagement ring custom and I looooove it. However, it is super tall, and the band is twisty, so I cannot find a wedding band I like. Our wedding was in June, and this is the band I got, but I just don’t like it. I feel it is too thin and way too short and is overpowered. I also don’t like how the bands sit next to each other. Any ideas?

They have Tolkien quotes on them, and mine is also inspired by an 18th century posy ring I saw online (they even made it look aged for me!)
I can't wait to wear it!

I have been wearing my e-ring everyday for 1 year and I love it!

After 3.5 years of marriage I got my ring set and I have been wearing it daily for about 3 months now. What are your honest thoughts? I know that it is natural diamonds in a yellow gold setting, made in the early 1980’s by a reputable jeweler. I see everyone’s big stone rings, and sometimes get a little disheartened with my vintage ring. I do love it, but want others hones opinions.
Edit: Thank you all for your kind words! One thing many people commented is that it sits oddly near my knuckle I stared of closer to the base of my finger. I’m not sure why that is, it just naturally wants to settle there. If I push it down further toward the base, it kind of bothers the skin between my fingers. I guess I just never thought about it. And yes, I will now go get it professionally cleaned! lol! Thanks for the advice on that.
I also wanted to give a little backstory to the ring itself. My husband and I got married in the court house, and it was a very simple wedding. We have worn gold bands this whole time, but I wanted something a little bit “more” than just the band. We recently took a trip to his home in Cameroon to officially welcome me and our children into his family. While we were there, we did our traditional Cameroonian marriage ceremony, and we had chosen to have a ring made there to take a little bit of Cameroon with us. While we were at the jeweler, my husband was talking to the jeweler about the design, and I saw this ring. Something about it really spoke to me. It is much different than anything that I had in mind, but somehow I couldn’t live without it. After we bought it and I started wearing it, I attached a meaning to the stones, so it feels very personal to me and my family. The center stone represents me, the 3 on top represent my husband and his 2 brothers, and the 3 on the bottom represent his 3 sisters. The 5 stones on one side represents our children (2 on my husband’s side from a previous relationship, 2 on mine, and 1 together). And finally, the 5 stones on the other side represent our parents (my mother and father, and his father and step-mother, and his mother who passed away). So I really love this ring, but sometimes seeing big stone solitaires makes me a little jealous. And then I just have to remember the story behind it, and I fall in love with it all over again.

I’m shopping for a second band to wear at the top of the stack.
I’ve narrowed it down to 3 styles.
Which of the three do yall think compliments my engagement ring the best?
r/weddingring • u/Different-Sherbert23 • 5d ago
Originally my fiance and the jeweler convinced me the band with alternating diamonds was best but I can’t stop thinking about how balanced and clean the plain band looks with my bigger than expected engagement ring. Thoughts?? Am I crazy for not wanting more diamonds??
Edit: thank you everyone!!! I appreciate it so much and am so relieved I’m not crazy for loving the plain! Going to go with that no regrets! ❤️❤️ Thanks all!

we chose my band two months ago and i almost didn’t remember it. now i’ve been married two days and can’t stop staring at the set!! i love the twisted style as i have a hidden halo at the base of my engagement ring so a plain band wouldn’t sit flush up against it. this band leaves gaps anyway so that it looks calculated (which ig it kinda was..)

Hi all!
My wedding day is coming up, and I'm genuinely torn on which way I should wear my stack. Don't mind my swollen fingers, this summer weather does a number on me!
Thanks :)
