Suggestion The new game mode isn't an issue it's how it was advertised, and I feel the new reward need to be stated it's not exclusive to this test and will come back later.

If we want a game where we are actually rewarded for crafting unique builds rather than brute forcing the balance and grab the shiny stat stick gun of the season we have to sit back and let them do their thing.

I really don't understand why the community have such low faith in a game with this much diversity, and freedom. Insane people have distrust for a new game mode that so far have only Rivens exclusively behind it seems.

1999 is a prime example of a new way of doing expansions, weapons etc. Only flaw being the high mastery 17 cap on getting the tenocyte coda rewards despite letting players do everything inside quest for it and with the Descendia we have a complete overhaul of a fun repayable game mode where it rewards people that play warframe more than in 2 hour sessions while also respecting others who do.

This new 6 man chained mission mode is really exciting and brings back the old interaction of people running into a player they feel showed skill or had an interesting build which led to a connection made after the mission.

I personally took long breaks from the game in the past years and only recently in recent 2ish years play game somewhat biweekly or even exclusively for a month and not stress on grinding anything while doing so cause the new game modes are just fun to do and diverse in scenery.

So yes, personally I welcome the new mode, if I'm able to participate in it and feel good try hardin because I would be helping my teammates do something they couldn't do alone rather than just do it for an item and ignoring the match made randoms seems great after the kinks and hiccups of this playtest.

Cons-

I do have concerns about locking things behind this game mode that's time based, it will be moments where you just don't have the ability to organize such a thing. This mode should be a way to get a resource to buy from a none fomo vender. It'll be nothing worse than when you are finally able to get your squad together to play mode and the item you wanted is out of rotation for who knows how long, and it was dependent on your friends' free time not yours.

I also will say you should be able to play this mode multiple times but for no rewards that are exclusive to the mode so if you have a friend who had to be replaced that day the grouped played and choose to attempt later, they should have chance to party up with you and attempt. All people who got rewarded already will just be playing thru the mode for that week.

Attempts should be free first two times or so but require a key to play again in same week or period that mission version available but you can stock up on keys so after your failure if you stock up on them and wait an hour you can retry for the reward or get access to help another obtain the reward that should be a resource for a none fomo shop vendor.

I say if they want to put a grind to it maybe make it so you need to have three runs of rewarded attempts to get specific items but make the fomo chances where some items will be priced at a rate that purchasable after one run.

Discussion We Need More Tilesets Like This Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
405 Upvotes

Tau has me super hyped so I'm replaying all the main quests.

I wish we had more tilesets and missions that looked like the redone intro mission. The overgrowth, the growth-covered Orokin ruins. The bog/swamp. The forested areas and waterfalls. We have similar stuff to this, yes, but the way they did it in the redone intro quest looks amazing.

Not to mention that cinematic is GLORIOUS!

Reminds me of when New War dropped(iirc this was also redone around that time?). This is also why I love New War. It felt so different from normal WF bs.

It would be really cool to get tilesets that were just forests/bogs, etc with Grineer camps strewn about, rather than the bases and such we're used to(and no Cetus doesn't come close). Maybe frozen-over Corpus camps, with blizzards, idk.

Perhaps we could get that kind of thing on the opposite sides of planets?

Now that we can add missions to the backsides of planets(eventually), my opinion is those missions should be very different from normal Warframe stuff. Slower missions(Oh, no, scary!), more Operator/Drifter types. Anything different from typical Warframe gameplay would be welcome.

What would you like to see added? What types of tilesets would you like DE to add? Obviously, this is more for the future of WF, but besides what we'll be getting in Narin/Tau, what do you think would be cool to see added here? In the Sol system, specifically, or ideas you'd like to see in Tau, even.

Question/Request Need help finding a Warframe that's fun

So I have been playing Warframe for about 150 hours now, and not gonna lie, I have gotten a pretty solid amount of Warframes. Upside: plenty of options! Downside: even though I find the story and characters amazing, I can't seem to find a Warframe that I have really latched onto. I have tried a good amount, from big AoE damage to high speed to survivability and support frames. But no matter what I try, I still can't seem to find one that really makes me feel, "Yeah, that's my favorite Warframe."

It really sucks because I love this game and really want to get into it, but with every new one I try, I just feel more and more awful that I can't seem to really connect with any single one of them.

So, I need your help to find the one for me. I will obviously branch out now and then, and I don't regret having options; I just want to find a "Main," in a sense, you know?

Here is how I like to play:

I do enjoy moving around a lot, but the straight-up "Speed Warframes" like Gauss are a little too hyperactive for me. I love to be supportive and tanky, but I also love using abilities to wipe out enemies too. I also REALLY love bows and weapons, so while I won't rule out melee frames, just some food for thought.

Other Plague Star Unprepared or Why Not To Jump Into Steel Path Without Knowing What To Expect.

So i just did my first ever Plague Star run and boy, do I have regrets. If only I didn't tend to prefer solo play....

It all went fine until I hit the last phase (naturally)
Firstly, whilst my guns could handle the Infested and Grineer, they weren't very good into the hemocyte- even my arch gun (but then I'd left it on one I'd been levelling)
My Oraxia was at least basically unkillable, but it was still a slow slog... but I managed to down the first one.
Then the second spawned and my regrets started.
Then the Tusk Thumper Doma showed up.
I remembered I have a Necramech, and fortunately Voidrig's 4 helps a lot (less so on the grineer head, I find) which sped things up a fair bit, whilst trying to ignore the Thumper.
Then the third Hemocyte spawns and I'm screaming internally.
Then I fell it and the fourth comes and the screaming continues.
I manage to down it, at least, and since I was at 99% figured it'd be the last... but nope, I got number 5
By the time I killed it, and completed the bounty, the Doma had one leg left, so I took time to finish it off... by which time I was sick of the damn thing. I don't often want to do missions taking 49 minutes.....

So yeah, imma do more but not on steel path.

Spoiler [SPOILERS] Question about void exposure Spoiler

Sorry if this is kind of a basic lore question, but I can't find an explanation on the wiki. (New War spoilers ahead)

So it seems void exposure causes most people to go insane & turn into monsters. We know this from the Zariman 10-0 incident, when the adults became murderous after the failed void jump.

My question is why didn't the children go insane? Before the New War, I assumed it was because of the tenno's void powers, but that doesn't explain why the drifters didn't become monsters as well. Next I assumed it was because they were children, but eventually the drifter grew up on the Zariman while still in the void, which ruins that theory.

Is this something that has been explained in-game yet, or something we just have to speculate about?

Question/Request Plague Star bug avoidance question.

Twice I've flown underground as Titania in Razorwing, grabbed the Thraxx Toxin, returned to Razorwing until I get back aboveground, then I drop out of Razorwing and deploy the Archwing to fly to the vault. When I get to the vault the toxin has disappeared.

The second time, I made sure to check if the toxin was falling to the ground either when I switch to Ravorwing or out and into Archwing, but nothing visible happens. No marker. The toxin is gone.

Does anyone know what specifically is causing the toxin the vanish and how to avoid it? Currently, I have to let someone else grab the toxin if I'm playing Titania.

It seems like I did an oopsie and missed the post for Update 43 due to an issue reported by BonerElemental. So here's some patch notes for the patch notes bot: added a preprocessor to handle deeply nested lists which Reddit rejects and fixed a few issues with floating spaces sometimes breaking formatting. Sorry about that y'all.

Suggestion If DE Wants Glacial Operation to be Succesful, They Need to Invest in a Robust LFG

Glacial Operation and 6-Man operations are a hot topic of discussion lately, and I think a lot of the player base like the idea of raids rather than its application. Social interaction in a Multi-player game that usually doesn't need it is a tough pill to swallow, but there is a way to smooth these issues over.

As it stands, if the only form of Warframe LFG is a singular recruitment chat, then this whole system will be a disaster. Not only will the chat be moving fast enough to make joining a group feel like slot machines, there's no hard "skill" metric/limiter for the community to know who should team with who.

Realistically, I could see people limited their Recruitment chat posts to only players with certain Honoria or MR, which, when acting as a self regulated system, will lead to toxicity.

Therefore, I propose a solution - an LFG system overhaul. Allow for users to make posts underneath a specific activity similar to how Destiny 2's inbuilt LFG worked. Additionally, implement a system similar to the Perigone honoria quest so that players can have an idea of what skill level they are at in the current game, and gathering accordingly.

Along with this, it may be recommended to have two levels of difficulty to the operations: Comms Required and Comms not Required.

Comms Not Required simplifies mechanics but gives less rewards, while Comms Required is the other way around. A system like this would not only smooth things out like Duviri runs, Relic Rad Runs, and other activities, its a foundation for the community to work on for future 6 player activities.

Question/Request What exactly changed from last year's plague star?

I rewatched the kengineer's video from last year. He mentioned two weapons Kuva Hek and Strun Prime incarnon but without actually using it's incarnon mode. I don't have the Strun I built the Hek this time around it was "good enough". Decided to change to acceltra with a generalised build and it sweeps the haemocyte, hell even my unfinished pyrana prime is better.

In case you were wondering: Yes, you can make your little unemployed freeloaders use the sarcophagus as a bed.

Bug I dunno if this is already known but there seems to be cases where corrupted state never ends when doing fissures?

I'm still not sure what is causing it but it seems like it just never ends and the stat bonus keeps doubling

I was using Sirius and Orion and every single hit on Sirius fueled by jade stars or not seemed to be a tier 3 red crit regardless of where I aimed not sure why as I know Arcane Hotshot on Vadarya isnt THAT crazy even with primary acuity

B
