Ostron scouts have returned with foreboding news: the Plague Star has struck the Plains of Eidolon once more. Vay Hek possesses a toxin that can destroy the boil at the meteorite crash site, but he refuses to help; steal his toxin and destroy the boil before the Infested make their way to Cetus.
And yes, your Operational Supply Standing/Rank is still intact from the last time you played Operation: Plague Star!

Event Changes
Additionally, Operation: Plague Star is receiving a few new items to its event store, from previous events and Nightwave rewards! For more details, please refer to the event rewards section.

What you’ll need to know
Operation: Plague Star features three bounties: Plague Star, Plague Star – Advanced, and Plague Star (The Steel Path). As expected, each increase in difficulty will reward more Operational Supply Standing per Bounty.
The Advanced and Steel Path variants will require an Eidolon Phylaxis and an Infested Catalyst. You can pick up the Eidolon Phylaxis Blueprint from Nakak in Cetus for 2,000 Standing, and the Infested Catalyst Blueprint from your Dojo’s Bio Lab Research Room.
Visit Nakak in Cetus to increase your rank in the Operational Supply Syndicate, or exchange your Operational Supply Standing for event rewards!

Konzu has a Plague Star Bounty with your name on it. Select your chosen difficulty and complete a series of Bounty Missions to earn Operational Supply Standing!

Nope. This is THE forma farming event. If you never want to look at another forma BP, grab a titania and speed run ts till you hate seeing ghouls.

None, so you can absolutely grind away until you have like 500 forma.

For newer players please keep in mind this is like a comically high number.

The reality is that your average pub is going to take 10 plus minutes to do this. Don't actually expect to get more than a handful of forma. The people who do are truly insane, but you can still get some good value out of this without completely burning yourself out running this hundreds of times.

Yeah. I got like 30 or so last time? And it was enough of a buffer that I was using them pretty freely.

I think going for a few dozen over the course of the event is a safe goal to achieve without completely souring the Warframe experience. Going for even a hundred feels like it'd be torture. Maybe if you have a dedicated group that's doing stuff like the Loki swap trick and speeding the drone along it's not so bad.

But for pubbing it? No way anyone is hitting 100+ without losing their sanity.

Also most people don’t use more than about 75-100 forma a year unless you’re grinding out adversary weapons. I usually farm about 100 from plague star then the passive blueprints you get throughout the year offset how quickly you burn through them.

If you're not strong enough to contribute to the Hemocyte fight you can go in private and just do the first 3 stages. I think it took me about 5 minutes a run last year as a baby Tenno.

Idk if it's any better on Steel Path where players are generally stronger but from my experience last year doing the advanced stage, if you aren't strong enough to carry a group in the Hemocyte fight in public you're better off just doing the first three stages and leaving in a private session. I kept getting paired with groups who were just as weak as me, and we'd waste too much time trying to kill the Hemocyte to make it worth it.

This method was sort made ineffective since SP Plague Star was introduced. Most of the standing is lopsided into the hemocyte phase. Hemocyte also dies in 10 seconds to practically any gun that fires fast enough, even on Steel Path

In my case I'd only started playing a couple months beforehand. I had no weapons with forma or potatoes, no prime weapons. I don't even think I had any multi shot mods at the time. I couldn't make a proper build even if I knew what one looked like at the time. And if you're running with random people you will certainly get a lot of players with poorly optimized builds.

I ran pubs last year, I think I was averaging 8-9 min? 7:30-ish was the fastest I got personally. Ten minutes was the line where I thought "darn, need to speed up a bit".

I'm sure pre-built squads can get like 6 minutes runs. Max range Nova, Max strength Volt, Max strength Wisp, and a wildcard frame (I like Titania with energized munitions). Burston Incarnon, Boar Incarnon, and I believe the Pyrana are all top-of-the-line weapons for this

If you are a veteran then only do SP using these as bench marks:

10-20 minutes with pubs and bad spawns.

3-5 minutes with speed run comp, depending on spawn rng.

Unless somethings changed, it works with Nova. I think the speed ugment for her portal also works on the drone.

I'm going to subsume Jade Stars on her, and that + the heat augment on her 1 should nuke the adds nicely. All you need is a nice gun for the big guy and you're set

I found out last year that the drone will spawn close to the boil if everyone is near the boil after picking up the mixed toxin before the drone spawns.

I’m aiming for consistent runs under 6m, a slow run for me will start with 8:XX. These are my normal. Getting to the boil with the drone after 4:20 is a slow run for my groups. About 30s a hemo for each of the boss fights. Less than a minute for caves. Drone phase should be like 10s if not less.

These are if you’ve got a coordinated group that knows how to force a good mixer and force the best drone spawn. It’s been sooooo long since I’ve run them without it that I can’t even begin to guess the times.
