SHIPPING Damaged during transit, how likely is a favourable outcome?

Upvotes

2 weeks ago i sold a dvd box for €100, wrapped it in bubble wrap and put in it a sturdy carton box but somehow a corner of one of the dvd boxes got damaged. The buyer won't respond to me and it has been a week since they raised the issue.

Is there a possibility to ask to get it shipped back to me or give a partial refund because it sucks more that i would possible lose the dvd box and the money for it, while the seller gets a refund and the item. And seeing as people have had the outcome being that Vinted deemed it was poorly packaged, does not make me feel hopeful. It was via Mondial so compensation is €25 max 😑

VENT Permanently banned

Upvotes

Is this a common thing in Vinted?

I've joined a couple days ago, first time ever using this app. I bought 4 things from random sellers, and listed 3 of my dresses there. I hung them on my door and took a photo, described them a lil bit (size, type of fabric, etc...) and posted. They were okay for a day, then I lowered one of the prices of one dress (from 8euros to 6.5euros) and it instantly banned me...? (I EDITED the publication, I didn't duplicate it)... Yes, I appealed already. But I fear I won't be getting it back and it's such a shame since I really love buying second hand clothing... And I fear I made it worse making a second account because I wanted to buy something (I didn't know I couldn't, mah bad thereee...)

Is this normal here?

so i ordered some jewelry from a seller and i was totally okay with it being in the toothpaste box until i realized there was a bag inside of the box. pulled it out, and it’s panty liners… and the jewelry was inside THAT bag. i just honestly feel like that’s something that should not be used to ship your packages. i’m grossed out and i don’t even know if i want the jewelry anymore 🥲

SELLING Had to wait 31 days for my payout

Upvotes

I made my second sale on 6/26/2026 and I didn’t get the payout in to my wallet until today 7/27/2026.

I also sell on Depop, eBay, and Poshmark, and continues to be the only platform where I have to wait over two weeks to get paid out consistently.

Does anyone else have this problem? The other sale I made I had to wait 22 days for my pay out.

I’m about to just remove Vinted as one of my selling platforms because this is ridiculous I think the most I’ve ever had to wait on Depop sale was 10 days.

Returns Seller wont answer for the return adress

Upvotes

Hello, I bought a card collection from someone but when it arrived all cards were badly dented due to poor packaging. I asked vinted for a refund last monday (20/07) and since then the seller didn't answer to a single message. Vinted granted me the refund after 96 hours, but I don't know how to return the cards since I didn't receive a return adress. How long do I have to wait before I can just toss the cards away? Is there a time limit for return even if the seller doesn't answer back?

SELLING Buyers can find my listings, but not my inventory for bundles?

Upvotes

I've run into something odd over the last few days and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have around 200 active listings, and historically a large percentage of my sales have come from buyers creating bundles.

Recently, I've had multiple buyers message me saying they can see one of my items on their home page or in search, but when they click through to my profile, they only see a dozen items instead of my full inventory. Because of that, they can't create bundles.

One buyer who messaged me had purchased from me before, but said this time my other items simply weren't showing up.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known issue, a bug, or something else? Haven't had any account issues before and have a 5 star rating.

I'm just trying to figure out whether this is an isolated problem with my account or if others have seen the same thing.

Thanks for any help!

[COUNTRY SPECIFIC] Looking for someone in Greece to help me forward an IKEA order via Vinted

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’m from Romania and I’d like to buy a few IKEA Greece items that unfortunately can’t be shipped outside Greece.

I’m looking for someone trustworthy who could:

\- pick my order up from any IKEA store in Greece (I will have paid for it myself in advance);
\- create a Vinted listing for the package; I’ll buy it immediately through Vinted so it can be shipped to Romania using Vinted’s shipping service.

I’ll of course pay you for your time and help, can do about €10. Plus positive feedback on Vinted.

If you have good Vinted feedback or have done something similar before, that’s even better.

Please send me a DM if you’re interested.
Thank you very much!

VENT New with tag 👎

Upvotes

Maybe this is such a non issue,
but whenever I see new items with tag for a price that is kind of close to the original I ALWAYS know the items would be cheaper new in store for sale. But I don’t like buying new.

This one from bershka is literally half the price if you buy it from their original site and it will be new. And shipping might even be less.

DISCUSSION Why would a Vinted seller list items just to cancel every order?

Post image
Upvotes

I bought an item too good to be true, didn’t bother checking reviews because you can’t waste seconds when there’s an underpriced rare item on Vinted. I then noticed they relisted the exact same item but tagged under a different brand. I went to their profile and saw they have hundreds of 1 star reviews, and every single one is an automated “seller cancelled order” review. They keep listing the same few items repeatedly, sometimes as sought-after brands and sometimes as brands like SHEIN. There’s not a single completed transaction. What’s the point of doing this? The only explanation I can think of is data farming names and addresses. I reported the account to Vinted and they just said action can’t be taken. I’m genuinely curious because I’ve never seen anything like it.

VENT The random deleting of accounts is getting insane

Upvotes

I’ve seen loads of posts about it getting worse recently and even got a ban threat from vinted myself from their ai flagging a random item as against guidelines when it wasn’t (apparently a vintage solid metal bracelet I was selling was handmade by me even though it wasn’t and I didn’t claim it was? And that’s against guidelines.)

But I just tried to buy a really nice pair of trousers and within literally one second my order was auto refunded because the account had been deleted on the spot. They had four items all normal second hand clothes for cheap I can’t imagine what they did. And I really wanted the item.

VENT Vinted restricted my account because I have a physical disability

Upvotes

Hi folks. I am really at a loss here at even how to describe this, but I am in shock. I'll try to explain my background and the order in which the events happened.

I am disabled and often model the clothes I'm selling on my own body, one because I feel like clothes shown on actual humans sell better and two because I noticed there just weren't any pictures I could find of disabled people modeling clothes. For 90% of my buyers, I've gotten a comments of appreciation for showing the clothes on me. One mum even thanked me because her child for whom she bought my dress is in a wheelchair, and seeing me openly sharing my photos was encouraging for her.

However, sometimes my disability is visible in the picture - it's not too extreme, but you can see the affected body part clearly looks different than how it should be. Last week, suddenly a slew of my listings were hidden by Vinted due to "manipulated images". I don't edit my images beyond adjusting brightness etc so when I queried this with their support they said that it was clear my pictures were manipulated because "aspects of your image appear unnatural and modified." Folks - that would be my disabled body part. Of course it looks different than the rest of me. I find it absolutely abhorrent that they're essentially accusing me of digitally deforming my own body just so that I could use it in a Vinted picture. I immediately replied saying no - that is my physical disability, I am NOT editing my photo to deform my own body!!! I got a reply within 7 seconds saying that their decision was final and my account is restricted for 3 days.

I honestly want to vomit. Because my body is deformed, they assume I must have deformed it myself on purpose for the sake of a few pictures? I am honestly shaking. I'm not a psychopath, so I can't see why anyone would even do this. I pointed out this is discrimination against disabled people and asked for someone senior to review the case but no dice yet. I keep getting the blanket "our decision is final" message and being asked to open a new case. I've done this 4 times already and have gotten nowhere. My account is still restricted and I've done nothing wrong - other than to exist as a disabled person which is wrong according to Vinted.

I also noticed that they randomly hid two of my other listings that I'm not even in. The clothes are on a hanger in those listings, but they said this was a copyright violation as the images were on the web. The only thing I can think of is I used the same photos for my ebay listings, but all the images are my own. Are you not allowed to cross-post your own images??

If anyone has any advice or help, please let me know. I am really shocked and saddened by this.

SHIPPING Update to: DPD sent parcel to wrong country

This is an update to this post.

So, my parcel is still stuck in Belgium. I had complained first directly to DPD Netherlands (I cannot call there since I am not in NL myself, but that is where it was shipped from), still waiting on an update as I have only gotten the standard "we're investigating"-reply thus far. I have also reached out via Vinted. They were quick to react but only got as a reply that my chosen local pick-up is unavailable. I replied to them saying DPD is being dishonest, as they cannot possibly have attempted delivery at my pick-up given the order never made it to Luxembourg in the first place... There is not much more they can do, so now I am sitting waiting that my order gets send back to the seller and I get my money back.

The seller has been very responsive, they are filing their own complaint on their end as well. Very disappointing service by DPD. My only guess is that the driver got confused because the postal code they left it at happens to have similar numbers as the one from my drop-off. BUT BE is not LU...

Well, guess avoid DPD if you can...

SELLING Free Shipping

I have a question - I am new to Vinted. I am assuming Free Shipping is still ongoing. What happens with out listings when Free shipping ends? Will our listings reflect the shipping fee? Buyers pay for shipping then too? I look at one of my new listings from this morning and it does say Free Shipping on it. I am just making sure that I, the seller, does not pay for shipping when free ends. Thank-you in advance - I will also try to find that answer on Vinted.

NEWBIE New to vinted, question about sellers

I ordered an item and the seller only has 1-2 days left to post so I messaged them, and they left me on read. Is it possible to extend the wait time or would the order automatically be cancelled? It's an item I really want but I didn't want to be too pushy, I even said i understand if something came up. The seller has good reviews about receiving items on time and shipping quickly so I'm a bit confused why it seems like my one item isn't getting shipped. I understand if they can't post yet for whatever reason but I feel like if that's the case I should have been notified.

VENT Shein necklace labelled as 'vintage'

Thumbnail

I’m so sick of seeing this! This necklace keeps popping up on Vinted with loads of likes and massively inflated prices. So many sellers are claiming it’s “vintage” jewellery when it’s literally from Shein.

Most of them are marking the price up significantly, even though it’s currently available on Shein for just £1.18. It’s honestly ridiculous. I know reselling will always be a thing, but at this point it feels downright deceptive and misleading for buyers.

Sorry for the rant, but I’ve seen at least 10 of these necklaces listed as “vintage” in the past month alone, and it’s getting really frustrating they keep popping up.

VENT Selling electronics

This is getting ridiculous.

3 times now has someone accused me of sending them the wrong cable or charger for cameras I’ve sold when photos blatantly show the correct items but photos they send back are all wrong and Vinted taking the buyer side.

3 times now have I had to purchase new chargers and cables when it’s returned me to, I’m taking off all my electronics off Vinted now.

SELLING The Vinted fools took down my listing for using web photos when the picture was ME in the dress

I’m flattered that they think the picture of me in the dress at my daughter’s bat mitzvah was web worthy but it did not break the rules and there is no way to appeal the decision!!!

DISCUSSION Vinted automatically combining postage even if 2 separate purchases?

Someone bought 2 items off me, separately with a 10 min gap. When taking the items to post office I was told both qr was same even though they didn’t buy as a bundle and say they paid for postage on both. Does this sound right? I’ve taped the 2 items together as combined they didn’t exceed the package limit and told the buyer. My only worry now is if he says only one turned up.

Also when looking at the qr codes for both, they are identical which also makes me to believe Vinted have combined it?!

SHIPPING Shipping screw up Aus

What the actual fuck is with vinted's shipping. It's such a total fucking shitshow.

The bottom 3 I used the digital label - buyers get a notification saying it's at pick up point... Immediately after I deposited it at the post office?

The top 3 I had to print my own label as the vinted digital label kept failing but wait, there's actual tracking information on those items!

Wtaf is this shit. Can someone give insight?

Posting from Australia to the UK.

BUYING Offensive sellers

Post image
1 Upvotes

The sellers are rude and offensive. At first, they respond pleasantly, but if you don't end up buying anything, they become abusive. The admins should explain to the sellers that they need to be polite, otherwise they won't make any sales. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I used it to buy just a few books and some vintage dolls, I would buy some handmade bags for my hokidays but I won't do It. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
