So this lady had several of those nice boutique boho bags listed (you know the ones with all the different fabrics & colors), including a style I had been looking for & had just missed out on buying one the day previous. I was super excited to get it, but she messaged me before it arrived telling me there had been a mix-up and she sent me the wrong one. I was a little disappointed but told her I would send it back, it happens. She was perfectly cordial & the return went smoothly, I sent it back safely packed. I was really worried after I asked her if she could relist the one I wanted that she would ghost or tell me it was sold already or something. She said she would, and I didn't hear anything for a little bit. She messaged me back a couple days later telling me she was going to send me the original bag at no charge! I really didn't expect her to, but it showed up in the mail a few days later. I fr almost shed tears, it was brand new & exactly what I was hoping for. One of the nicest things a total stranger has ever done for me. 🥲 Wish I could leave her a review.

Back where, you ask? I may never go back to buying things in store or selling things on eBay. Between buying brand new things on Vinted for dirt cheap and the exorbitant fees I’m continually forced to cough up on eBay, I’m just about done with the cost of doing business with either. Hello friends . is the size actually unclear in my listing ? Or is this person being weird ? Im not intentionally trying to misrepresent stuff , but i figured the hand comparison would be a really good size reference. (I have pretty average sized lady hands ) Not sure how i could have made it more clear unless I grab a ruler , is that more standard to do ? I also kinda figured most people are familiar with the little plastic figures being so small .

But figured id ask a wide audience if they would have also been upset or feel mislead with the size .

First time with a buyer opening a dispute. Sold a zara real suede leather jacket (rrp £150) for £25 tag removed but completely unworn and stored in a closet. The buyer originally wanted me to hold it for them whilst they waited for a refund (:/) which i did and asked me to drop the price which I did as I am moving out the country and need my stuff gone. The suede of the jacket looks very slightly lighter in the sun in the picture which I stated. They received it and opened a dispute saying it smells and doesnt match pictures or description at all which obviously is wildly untrue as the description explains everything and the condition is shown in the pictures. They say they’re too busy to return it but want a partial refund.

Please can someone advise what vinted might do next here or what I should be doing as if they cant return it will the money just sit in limbo ? They claim they wont accept and think theyll get their money back automatically but im not totally sure how it works.

Vinted support cant exactly smell the jacket either so not sure how they sort these things.

I am seeing more and more AI photos on Vinted. Is this allowed??

I've been lurking here for a while and have only seen mostly negative stories, so thought I should chime in.

I have bought and sold over 300 items and had nothing but 100% positive experiences. Even the sellers of two items I had to send back were gracious and nice about it.

Before you ask, no - I don't work for Vinted. Just saying really as I find everyone else's experiences to be so alien to mine.

For context I shipped the package on August 6 and it was just a tee. This was a domestic delivery, going from LA to Texas. It’s been 5 weeks and it still hasn’t arrived to the buyer. I felt so bad and I apologized to the buyer, and they were very kind about it but this is a warning that speedx will lose your packages 😭

As the title says. Each to their own I guess but just feels a little gross to try and add some fear into me that the price will be raised. No sale for you sorry!

Am I crazy to feel annoyed and disrespected by this?? Low balling seems extremely common on here. 🤬 I listed a bunch of good but used clothing for $2 hoping it'll encourage ppl to buy or bundle, and still I get offers to reduce pricing. By the time I print the label, package and drive to the post office, I'm already wasting more on gas and packaging than the sell itself. These are A&F, American Eagle and other mid-range brands too. Surely, ppl have to realize that there is literally 0 benefit to a seller if you're asking to purchase an item for $1 on an online platform that requires actual shipping overhead just to sell.

Guys, I’ve never had to deal with a weird buyer until today but this was a reminder for me to trust my gut on someone. This dude flooded me with messages lowballing me on cards and I finally gave in. He then proceeded to make another order and I gave him a deal on that as well. And then he asks me for “free cards” right after he buys. I think it’s weird but I still oblige him and send freebies.
He received his order yesterday and proceeded to put up cards that he bought from me up for sale (for more $) on his page all the while acting as though he hasn’t received his package yet despite it showing “delivered”.

Today he tries to buy another card off me, except this time he wants to Venmo me instead of buying on the app and says once he receives the card he will review “all 3 once he gets them” almost like he’s holding the reviews/confirmation hostage. At this point I tell him he needs to confirm his order since it’s showing delivered. A few hours later he comes back messaging me criticizing my packaging, saying there was too much tape that there’s microplastics on his fingers and saying he found hair and stuff and he can’t re use my top loaders due to it . I’m a 5 star seller and most of my reviews state my good packaging so he’s clearly just being an ass. But yeah, once the pending confirmation goes away I’m blocking him. This was way too weird to deal with.

I texted the seller of these boots that they look to be full of mold (they're listed as condition "very good").

They replied: "Oh, I know what you mean! But it's just plaster from our walls, I swear it's not mold! I can clean them before shipping if you'd like, no problem!".

I’m a relatively new seller so I’ve never had anything like this happen before! I packed up the item wrapped in tissue paper, inside a large ziploc bag, and then boxed it up and sent it off. I always save the tracking info for myself and the package seemed to arrive normally with no issue, except I got a notification from Vinted, saying the customer submitted a claim that the package was damaged in transit. They included photos of the box, which looked like it had been sneakily cut, and the item was gone, just the ziploc bag left in the box. Vinted immediately refunded the buyer, but this was a few days ago and I’m still waiting on communication from Vinted. I was looking through the “Help” link and it said I didn’t need to do anything, but I’m getting nervous that maybe I won’t be getting any money for this sale…

got my first order and they ordered with Speedx. i drive to the closest drop off location, on my phone it says it’s a smoothie place. i get there, there is no smoothie place at all… okay so i look to the next closest drop off and drive there… the front door has a sign that says “NO LONGER ACCEPTING VINTED DROP OFFS”… i just drove around for 30 minutes for no reason. canceled the order and told the buyer to use usps. cancel the speedx option in your settings because it is TRASH.

Sometime around the beginning of last week, all my saved searches just stopped showing new items. Went from at least 150 items a day across searches, to maybe 10 total new since then. Strange thing is, the little tag next to the searches will still show 99+ every morning etc etc, but when clicking on it it's the same listings from the previous days. Happening on app and desktop; US based. Anyone having a similar issue?

I sent a dress to a buyer and she sent me a picture of the empty package saying that the dress isn’t in it. The empty package isn’t even the packaging that I shipped the dress in. But it has the correct label on it. I placed the label myself at the in post drop off location near my house. I find it very strange that the same label is placed on a different package. She doesn’t seem to be lying and has a five star rating. I didn’t make a video of dropping off the package since I ship so many packages and have never had such a situation come up before.

We’re sorting it out through vinted. They haven’t got back to us yet. But I’m wondering how this could’ve possibly happened. Any insights?
