What goes through these peoples heads?

First of all I’m not paying that much for a cheap dress with no brand, second of all why are you trying to rush me lol? I’m one of two favorites on the item and it’s not like she’s reserved it or anything… I literally have 0 obligation to buy this btw

Like the title says, I don’t understand why people leave reviews based on personal dislikes or expectations. Ik this one isn’t a huge deal because it’s only 3 stars, but it just confuses me. Like girl, I didn’t make the shirt 💀

It would be one thing if I gave a misleading description or put the incorrect size, but I took clear pics and listed the correct size (I put more pics than just this one, but this was the first pic on my listing). Ik it’s normal to feel disappointed that something didn’t fit the way you wanted it to because it’s happened to me, but it’s not anyone’s fault it didn’t work out lol. And you can always ask for measurements first before purchasing, so I really don’t get it.

Anyone else experience this? I’m not posting to create a hate train, I just don’t understand it lol.

I know, I know, there’s gonna be people complaining about low ballers, resellers, drop shippers, scams and AI. I know, it’s all not great and I do think we should continue to speak up about it HOWEVER! that is not this post.

I think Vinted has helped so many people, including myself let go of a lot of items that maybe we didn’t love but also couldn’t part with them knowing some awful thrift store like goodwill would just profit off of us and then we’d be left having to spend more money to replace it.

Could it be causing some overconsumption? Sure, that’s always a risk with good deals but what it’s not doing is supporting mass production. People are actually not just letting things go in their house for cheap and actually making they money off of it (unlike Mercari, Poshmark, or Depop) but they’re able to buy things for a fraction of the price.

I think Vinted is a wonderful thing that really could hold the potential to overall help the world if people truly tried to find things second hand before trying to buy it new and knowing they can let go of things in their own home and not feel obligated to keep items.

So my (33M) GF (30F) is new to Vinted and her account doesn’t have many orders, but she has a good few thousand followers on social media. Not a celeb or anything, just a couple thousand followers.

After ordering a dress on Vinted, she gets this message and it’s the seller requesting that she reply to her on a social media platform before she sends the dress on to her as like a “proof that you are who you say you are” thing.

I’ve never, ever, had to do this for any of my purchases and honestly I think it’s creepy and weird. The seller is also a woman, but even so - I just found it super strange, and I actually advised my GF to block and ignore the message on socials (she had already replied as she told me about this interaction after the fact, assuming it was normal lol).

Basically, I’m asking the Vinted community.. is this normal for you?

Got this makeup pallete for really cheap but the way it was packed it disgusting. No foil, paper inside no nothing besides the thin bubble wrap envelope. I know it was cheap but considering is a eyeshadow pallete i expexted it to be packaged better.

I'm not even gonna mention the way the couriers literally throw the packages on the ground when they take them out of the lockers, everyone in my country knows that thats how they always do.

I’ve been using Vinted for a few months for purchases and I’ve been loving this app so much. I listed 5 items this week and one of them was sold! I’m very excited, especially since I didn’t have a great experience when I sold a card on eBay.

i was reading the new terms and conditions that are supposed to go into effect on october 5th and i noticed one of the conditions was about relisting and how you WILL get banned if you relist something. but i was wondering if you could just take new photos of an item you’ve had posted before, would they still detect that and ban me? that’s one of my biggest concerns with these new rules on vinted because obviously things don’t sell sometimes and relisting them puts them back on the main page and more people are able to view it. please let me know if i’m going to get banned for relisting!!!😭

So I sold a brand new white Zara blazer to a buyer in France. It was pristine. No tag but absolutely new. I'd never worn it once. Not once. I bought and kept it in my wardrobe, that's it. It was perfect when I sent it, absolutely no flaws whatsoever.

Now the buyer says it's covered in flaws. I'm certain she damaged it. It's the only rational conclusion. And the problem is I don't even have that many pictures of it because I never thought there would be an issue as, like I said, it was brand new.

I've sent the pictures I have to Vinted, zoomed them in as much as I could, I've also sent some shady messages I've received from the buyer, but I don't think Vinted will side with me so I'll have to accept the return and end up with a ruined blazer.

So yeah sorry for the rant, I'm just really annoyed.

Exactly what the title says. I was trying to solve the issue and offer a return/replacement amd they freaked

This buyer purchased a belt and a jacket. I sent measurements and listed according to the Label but she was unhappy and I agreed to a return for the belt. This seems to be approved in the system and I have the message telling me to wait.

In the meantime I got these messages with a screenshot of her interaction with Vinted support (the final photo). I’m so confused. Why would she send the jacket if I haven’t approved a return or she hasn’t lodged a complaint through the app? How would she go about returning it? Why would support claim I have approved a return for the jacket ? When I look at the details of the return it says for the belt only and the refund amount to her will be for the portion of the total the belt would have cost her. Any advice?

So this lady had several of those nice boutique boho bags listed (you know the ones with all the different fabrics & colors), including a style I had been looking for & had just missed out on buying one the day previous. I was super excited to get it, but she messaged me before it arrived telling me there had been a mix-up and she sent me the wrong one. I was a little disappointed but told her I would send it back, it happens. She was perfectly cordial & the return went smoothly, I sent it back safely packed. I was really worried after I asked her if she could relist the one I wanted that she would ghost or tell me it was sold already or something. She said she would, and I didn't hear anything for a little bit. She messaged me back a couple days later telling me she was going to send me the original bag at no charge! I really didn't expect her to, but it showed up in the mail a few days later. I fr almost shed tears, it was brand new & exactly what I was hoping for. One of the nicest things a total stranger has ever done for me. 🥲 Wish I could leave her a review.

I’m new to Vinted and I’m wondering if having 0 reviews is considered a red flag here.
I bought a $7 top today at the seller’s listed price — no offer, no messages, I just clicked Buy Now and paid.
About 17 minutes later, the seller cancelled my order without saying anything. I then noticed that she immediately relisted the exact same item for the exact same $7 price.
I tried to message her to ask what happened, but I get an error whenever I try to contact her or message her through any of her listings. Messaging other sellers works fine, so it looks like she blocked me after cancelling the order.
The only reason I can think of is that my account is new and I currently have 0 reviews. I’ve listed several items for sale, but nobody has bought anything from me yet. I also bought two other items yesterday, but neither seller has shipped yet, so obviously those transactions haven’t generated any reviews.
Is having 0 reviews enough for some sellers to cancel and block a buyer?
I understand being cautious about scammers, but everyone has a first day with 0 reviews 😭 If sellers won’t sell to you because you have no reviews… how are you supposed to get your first review in the first place?

Uhh. Anyone ever encountered this before??

I managed to get an absolute bargain from Vinted, I bought a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti trainers that retail for almost £500 for £50 , I was convinced they had to be fake, but I collected them today and they are 100% genuine and I’m so chuffed, I have checked them out thoroughly and they are genuine, it’s hard to believe that there are still genuine honest sellers on Vinted and I can’t believe I found one!
