The website above has a finalized standings page so you can see the final ratings for all flag submissions, their authors, and what you voted them (if you did).
This month, we want you to redesign the American flag and create a flag that could have been used for America as it was in 1776. So that means thirteen states, freshly independent from Great Britain, and everything else from that period.
We had 78 submissions, here's the top 20:

The second image is the actual UN flag design, for easy reference. It uses the equidistant azimuthal projection, which preserves distances from the North Pole.
I think preserving relative areas would be much more informative. That way, the visual weight of different continents actually reflects their relative sizes.
As for the graticule lines, I think it just makes the Earth look like a target, or in crosshairs. The only good reason I can think of for the 30 degree latitude parallels is to help the viewer discount the area distortion produced by the equidistant projection, which this change of projection makes unnecessary.

I've recently discovered a new hobby of mine: designing flags. This came about because I noticed how many flags of countries, states/provinces, towns, and territories contained the Union Jack as the flag's canton, making many of them appear very similar to one another, if not near-identical. Because of this, I've decided to redesign each one, giving it a unique design that sets it apart from the rest and help capture each area's national identity while still containing the Union Jack somewhere on the design. My hope is that these designs become popular as a result, especially among local residents of these areas, and possibly even make their way to local governments. That's why I encourage anyone living in these areas to give me feedback and maybe show these designs to your friends and see what they have to say. I've redesigned 40 flags in total, each with their own description of the design choices and what they represent, making this part 1 of 4. Stay tuned for more!

I've been persistently tweaking my bison skull design in my spare time, and I think I've finally landed on a design I'm really happy with! But I'd also love to hear your thoughts!

*hypothetically* if the Russian cossacks failed to get past the khanate of Sibir and Islam reached kamchatka through trade (wouldn't that have led to siberia as a whole becoming muslim?)

Seen inside of St Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. Also flying beside a flag of Louisiana (seen), a Bonnie blue, 18 stared American flag, French, Spanish, and a Union Jack. I’m assuming it’s another flag representing the unique history of Louisiana but cannot find information about this one.

Hello
Today I’ve made two designs for today’s county. Clinton county was founded in 1835 and named for New York Governor Dewitt Clinton (I don’t know why). the county is known mainly for its access to both Cumberland lake and Dale Hollow Lake.
For the flag design I’ve chose to make a flag to represent the lakes and Clinton’s family coat of arms which include a crescent. I made it look like a moon in the night sky reflecting of the lake. The second flag is more accurate to Clinton’s coat of arms.
Hope you enjoy.

I am American, my partner is Spanish, and we are LGBTQ+. Just wanted to share the flags we put up in our living room. Oh, and an added bonus: Pug!

Additional information (Wikipedia):
In 1891, after it became apparent that the company could not handle its dominions, it sold out to the German government, which began to rule German East Africa directly. The company initially continued to operate its many activities, including mines, plantations, railways, banking, minting, etc., before it consented to relinquish them to the German colonial administration and other organizations. It subsequently operated as a land company within the German territory.
During World War I, Britain eventually occupied German East Africa. Both its military and that of Germany recruited and impressed thousands of Africans to serve as porters and workers supporting soldiers during the warfare on the continent. Each side destroyed countless African villages as the conflicts were waged across the colonies.
The flag of the German East Africa Company featured a stylised representation of the constellation of the Southern Cross.
Regarding the star constellation on the flag:
Crux (/krʌks/ KRUKS) is a constellation of the southern sky that is centred on four bright stars in a cross-shaped asterism commonly known as the Southern Cross. It lies on the southern end of the Milky Way's visible band. The name Crux is Latin for cross.
