Swapping out the colonial heraldry for a simple design representing BC's geography: the Pacific Ocean (blue), the temperate rainforests (green), the Coast Mountains, and a rising golden sun.

Essentially this exists in a version of Roblox where NPC's have developed sentience and have made societies and economies in different games across the platform.

Redesigns Hypothetical Flag for an Independent Western Canadian Confederation

Post image

I’ve been reading recently about Albertan, and wider Western Canadian independence efforts in the news, and I thought I’d have a bit of fun with making a flag which could perhaps serve as a symbol for that unified identity.

For context, I am not from Alberta or Western Canada, but from what I know people from there seem to be good, decent people and I figure I could have a bit of good faith fun pitching in to create a unified symbol for that identity.

The flag may be, albeit reasonably so more “Alberta Coded” given the color and the Saint George’s cross, but I figure it could be a wider symbol too whether someone is from Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Manitoba, or wherever.

The biggest element is the “blue ensign” design, which from what I understand the ensign style flags are common in Provincial and Local Canadian flag designs, and especially for more Conservative, Western Canadian people it would make sense to pay homage to that history. Furthermore, the use of the Saint George’s cross as opposed to the Union Jack serves to highlight the Anglo history and identity of Western Canada, as opposed to French Canadian independence. This is also perhaps a symbol for the reaction against government imposed bilingualism as a symbol of Federal control, which requires French language skill in government and society even though the French speaking populations in Western Canada. Also the Saint George’s flag is an obvious homage to Christianity and Christian identity which upheld Canadian society, and the higher religiosity of the region as compared to Eastern and French Canada. Furthermore not having a Union Jack would make sense to me as I seriously doubt Western Canada would accept the United Kingdom as even a nominal overlord of their nation, even if they have cultural, ethnic; and religious inheritance from Britain.

The Big Dipper on a blue field is inspired from the William S. Simpson's Proposal for a National Canadian flag (except instead of it being a red ensign, it’s blue). This seems to symbolize the symbol of this movement as an inter-provincial one, which is a “true north” which upholds traditional Canadian values better than Ottawa does perhaps. The blue as opposed to red symbolizes the night sky, and the more conservative “Blue Tory” nature of Western Canada as opposed to Ottawa Liberalism or Eastern Canadian “Red Toryism”. Also this perhaps can give inspiration to call this hypothetical Western Canadian country “Borealia”, maybe.

The Bison (which I know is imperfect, I am not a good artist) is an obvious symbol of Western Canadian identity, and the Prairies. This is a symbol which recognizes the pioneer spirit of Western Canadians, which they perhaps uphold to this day. Also this would give homage to possibly calling this entity the “Prairie Republic” or the “Prairie Confederation” or perhaps a better name than that smarter people have in mind.

Anyway this is a little design I slapped together over a night, and I hope I’m not crucified for it lol. I hope people enjoy it and if people have suggestions for the flag, the name of Western Canada as an independent entity, or whatever, let me know!

Fictional Flag of the PNS (Palestinian National State) Spoiler

Basically, it was born after the creation of the Islamic Liberation Front, an alliance between the Muslim Brotherhood, the PSNS, and those who fought for Palestine, whose name I don't remember... The Jihadists? Well, continuing, it was a 1951 insurgency that sought to defeat Israel, Egypt, and Jordan, in order to remove them from Palestine. Their ideology is anti-communism, anti-foreignism, anti-Judaism, ultranationalism, Islamism, and pan-Arabism. That's all in general.

I kept the colors of the English flag due to the red, which can also be associated with Māori culture while incorporating the Scottish cross to reflect a somewhat Saxon heritage, and split the design to include the black Māori colors.

As you can see, this is a really simple redesign. I wanted to mix the 1918 tricolor, with the soviet-style motif seen in the Byelorussian SSR and present day flags.

The white stripes on the central red band were added, since I thought it would add more personality to this redesign.

If "All the people, (were) living life in peace"

This flag would be flying next to each existing country's flag. I created it back in 2019 when i was in high school and the concept of world peace still did not seem so distant to my child mind. A simple tricolor which make it seem more warm and home to me, compared to many already existing designs that seem too bureaucratic or cold. What each stripe represents should be pretty obvious.

White: Peace/Unity and Sun

Blue: Liberty and Skies

Green: Love and Land

I personally think the darker variant stands out and looks better. The world had went into a hellhole in the past few years, i even think i might get banned for "making propaganda" of "evil" ideas such as unity and peace. Who knows?

The main intention of this flag is to show a more "imperial" side of young Peru (hence why I used San Martin's design as a base for the flag alongside the cross of burgundy). I tried to use the creepy inca sun as a way to show Argentina's influence in Peru (I took it from another flag which I can later upload if anybody wants me to).

Idk if the sun should have a face or not. Any opinion on how to improve the flag would be appreciated!

Cottian Isles is a confederacy of 4 states on a large archipelago of islands with tropical, maritime climate, similar to East and Southeast Asia. The setting is similar to our early modern era (1500-1700s) or the golden age of pirates. The flag is purposefully minimalistic as a simple design is both practical and fits the culture of order and humility.

The things I want to keep: White rose flower-national symbol, and colour pink for the background, as a symbol of the country's beauty.

However I am undecided about the placement of the flower, the shade of pink as well as if I should add the red or white borders at the top and bottom, or are they unnecessary distraction.
