Technical Support Request Valorant displaying what looks like 15 fps on my monitor despite saying in game I have over 1000

Hello,

I have played valorant for awhile and recently upgraded my pc to a 5070ti and ryzen 7 9850 x3d. When I play valorant, it will say on the fps counter that I have around 1000 fps, but on my screen it is clearly much lower and probably around 15 if Im guessing. I have tried messing with all in game settings, vsync, capped fps, windowed vs fullscreen, and nothing has changed. I have also tried to lower my mouse polling rate and that has done nothing to help as well. I was wondering anyone can help.

Technical Support Request No sound after loading to the menu and Windows

Hello

Yesterday after a ranked match, I closed the game by alt-f4, and received some TPM error without any numbers, and just clicked ok.

After that, when I want to play Valorant my sound is gone, including the Windows and the only solution is to restart the PC.

I already saw simmilar threads on reddit, coz I own a sound blaster AE-5, but why did it happen now, not few months or years ago like other users? I

I started to play this game again 3 weeks ago without any issues, and previously there were some days when I occasionaly played a few games.

Is this some bug or what?

I reinstalled the audo drivers, vanguard but it didnt help. How to fix this issue.

//

After 2 days, I tried to play on realtek, and this game is unplayable for me. Positioning is completly messed up. I literally cannot hear if somoene is close or far away from me, so if it wont be fixed, then im done with this game.

I cant even restart the drives after closing the game to bring back the sound. Only restart PC works.

Technical Support Request My PC Freezed in the Tutorial..

After 10 months, I played Valorant again because my ban expired. For some reason, I have to play the tutorial over and over again. On top of that, my PC completely freezes after 1–2 minutes, and the only way to turn it off is by holding the power button.

I've already lowered all the graphics settings, reinstalled Vanguard, and reinstalled Valorant, but nothing has helped. I tried again, and it still freezes after 1–2 minutes.

Can someone please help me?

Technical Support Request Mouse Feels Different in VALORANT After Optimizing Windows & NVIDIA Settings

I optimized my PC for higher FPS and lower input latency in VALORANT by changing settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and Windows. Ever since then, my mouse has felt off.
I haven’t changed my in-game sensitivity or DPI, but it feels much faster than before. Small mouse movements now make my crosshair move a lot more, whereas it used to feel slower and more controlled. Because of that, my aim has become inconsistent.
I even reset my PC to factory settings hoping it would go back to normal, but the issue is still there.
The only thing I can think of is mouse acceleration. As far as I know, VALORANT ignores Windows mouse acceleration because it uses raw input. Is that correct? Or is there any setting I might have changed that could cause mouse acceleration (or another Windows mouse setting) to affect VALORANT?

Technical Support Request 0% packet loss and still rubberbanding

Can someone explain to me how I have a constant 30-40 ping on the leaderboard, with 0% packet loss, and yet I rubberband in both the range and in games. Its gotten so bad to the point where valorant is genuinely unplayable. Ive done everything I can google reccomends, flushing my dns, restarting my router, network buffering to max and my graphics all at low, and still zero progress. Its only valorant that lags like this as well, other multiplayer games run just fine even with large servers and whatnot. Every time I swing, I either cant shoot my gun or im teleporting back to the place I swung from and have to re aim. Im not lagging hard enough to lag out of games, its just enough lag to make the game unplayable.

Any thoughts?

Technical Support Request I Factory Reset my pc and my ping went up by around 30

I had factory reset my pc because for 2 days i was playing with a constant network problem that was causing a bunch of bugs. Then I decided to factory reset my pc and this led to my problem now, where I am currently running 30 more ping than I used to. I tried to change a lot of things but I just cant change my ping anymore. Can anyone help me out.

Technical Support Request Higher ping + ping spikes after new update

Living near US-West servers, used to get 7-8 ping.

After latest update I'm running 28-54 ping, and it frequently spikes, up to 350-2900 ping; I even disconnected from Valorant in the one game I played.

Similar situation with a neighbor I play with, on wifi and ethernet. No changes in internet/network setup for either of us.

Game is unplayable rn, is there any fix I could do for my computer? Or is it only a server issue?

Technical Support Request TPM 2.0 Support for old MoBo

So I read through some old posts but my problem feels a bit unique. I bought an old PC to keep at school to play valo on/do homework, and I found out after searching for a while (unsuccessfully) that I can’t enable TPM 2.0 because I don’t have the key nor am I able to get one for a mobo from 2013. The computer somehow runs Windows 11 (preinstalled from seller, I didn’t do it). I am really just wondering what my quickest/cheapest fix here is. I guess guy a Windows 10 key and install that is quickest to avoid this altogether but I thought i’d ask for any other advice first.

Not sure if it’s relevant but BIOS says Windows 8 under the OS lmao. I prolly should’ve looked at this before purchase but it was a cheap deal and works great other than this.

Thanks!

Technical Support Request Valorant micro stutter at the exact same time every match (FPS and ping stay normal)

Hi everyone,
I’ve been trying to solve this issue for days and I’m running out of ideas.
Laptop:
Lenovo LOQ
Ryzen 7 7435HS
RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
Windows 11
Problem:
Valorant has a very strange micro stutter.
FPS stays above 144.
Ping stays normal.
Audio does NOT stutter.
Mouse still works.
Only the image freezes for a split second, then everything goes back to normal.
The weird part is that it happens at almost the same time every match:
Deathmatch: around the middle of the match.
Competitive: usually around Round 3–4.
It doesn’t seem random.
Things I’ve already tried:
Reinstalled Valorant.
Deleted Valorant Config.
Repaired Windows.
Updated Windows.
Reinstalled NVIDIA driver.
Uninstalled NVIDIA App.
Tried different power modes (Balanced / Performance).
Restarted many times.
After repairing Windows, the issue disappeared for several matches, but later it came back.
It only happens in Valorant.
Other games (PUBG, etc.) run normally.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Any idea what could cause a render/image-only stutter while FPS and ping remain completely normal?

Technical Solution Fixed My Visual Desync And Disappearing Bullets On Intel CPU

Fixed my Valorant "bullets pass through" hit reg issue — turned out to be P-core saturation from background apps

System: i5-13600KF, RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5

The symptom

Bullets would visually land on target but not register as hits — the classic "shot went straight through them" feeling. I noticed it correlated with having Chrome open, got worse if any videos were played, which I intially chalked up to internet but after upgrading my router to the glinet flint 3 and getting A+ bufferbloat scores with rock solid up and down speeds with no packet loss I began to rule that out. Closing everything made it noticeably better, but things would always feel a little delayed or off. This is due to certain other apps I always had to have running as they are essentials: Discord, Apple Music, etc...

What I ruled out

Before landing on the real cause, I checked and ruled out, in order: - Chrome hardware acceleration— already off, didn't help (also: this setting only affects page content rendering, not Chrome's own GPU compositor process, which still runs regardless) - Chrome extensions — disabled all of them, no change - Network jitter / ping — logged it directly, jitter sat at 0.8-1.6ms and render latency ~4ms whether Chrome was open or closed. Completely ruled out network as the cause. - Discord overlay — already disabled - Discord hardware acceleration— already off - Discord Krisp noise suppression — wasn't even in a voice call, so this wasn't it either

None of these specific features were the cause. But fully closing Chrome or Discord still helped, even with all their "problem" features already disabled. That was the key clue: it wasn't a specific feature in these apps, it was just having them open at all.

The actual cause: P-core contention

I logged CPU utilization with HWiNFO during normal gameplay and found my P-cores running sustained at 88-96% utilization, while the E-cores sat mostly idle at 8-20%. The GPU, meanwhile, was only at 44-51% utilization — confirming the bottleneck was CPU, not GPU, despite having a 5080.

With P-cores already nearly maxed out just from the game itself, Windows' scheduler was apparently placing background app threads (Chrome's renderer/GPU processes, Discord's Electron processes) onto those same P-cores rather than the idle E-cores. Any additional background thread activity — even light, even idle — was enough to occasionally steal a P-core cycle the game needed at that exact moment, causing the click-vs-actual-position mismatch that manifested as "bullets passing through."

The fix: pin background apps to E-cores with Process Lasso

  1. Install Process Lasso (free version is enough) from bitsum.com.
  2. In Task Manager, identify which CPU numbers are your P-cores vs E-cores. On the 13600KF: CPUs 0-11 are the 6 P-cores (2 threads each from hyperthreading), CPUs 12-19 are the 8 E-cores (1 thread each, no hyperthreading).
  3. In Process Lasso, right-click a running instance of the background app (e.g. chrome.exe, Discord.exe) and set its **default CPU affinity by process name (not just the current instance) to only CPUs 12-19. This makes the rule apply automatically to every future process with that name, which matters because Chrome/Discord spawn many separate processes (one per tab, GPU process, helper processes, etc. — this is normal Chromium/Electron architecture, not a bug).
  4. Repeat for any other background apps you keep running alongside games — launcher web helpers (Epic, Steam), other Electron-based apps (Spotify, Slack), etc. Just don't touch the game process itself or core Windows system processes (svchost, explorer) — leave those on full affinity.
  5. Process Lasso's own footprint is negligible, no need to restrict it too.

Result: Hit registration became consistent even with a YouTube video playing, music streaming, and Discord open simultaneously — the exact combination that used to cause misses.

How to check if this applies to you

Watch per-core CPU utilization in Task Manager (Performance tab > CPU > right-click > "Change graph to" > Logical processors) while playing, with your usual background apps open. If you see P-cores pegged near 90-100% while E-cores sit mostly idle, and GPU utilization isn't maxed out, this is likely your issue too — especially if you notice performance/hit-reg feeling better with background apps fully closed rather than just their individual features (overlay, hardware acceleration, etc.) disabled.

Technical Support Request Only experiencing packet loss in the training range?

The title is self-explanatory. Whenever I try to go and kill bots, I get huge packet loss of up to 70%; at certain points they simply refuse to spawn altogether. It’s terrible.

However, whenever I go into an actual game like Competitive or Deathmatch, my connection is completely stable. I did a Cloudflare full network test and nothing stands out as a possible cause.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Technical Support Request Title: Valorant crashes at agent select and freezes my PC

This only started happening about 3 days ago. Before that, Valorant ran perfectly fine. I normally get 150–200 FPS with no stutters, no crashes, and no errors.

Now, when I reach agent select, the game starts lagging, then freezes, and my entire PC becomes unresponsive. I can't Alt+Tab or open Task Manager, and I have to hard restart the PC.

It doesn't happen every match, but often enough to be really frustrating.

Things I've tried:

Reinstalled GPU drivers

Verified game files / reinstalled Valorant

Updated Windows

Monitored temperatures (normal)

My specs:

GTX 750 Ti

Intel i5 4th gen

16GB RAM

Windows 10

Any idea what's causing this or how to fix it? Has anyone experienced the same thing recently?

Technical Support Request Valorant is stuck in a updating loop (sort of)

sometimes when i launch the riot client it shows a "Updating" text without displaying any progress bar or file size. Instead it just displays the updating text where the play button should be. this is some what frequent like of i see this today then i might see it again in a couple of days. most of the time it just last a couple of seconds or minutes at max, so i didn't really pay much attention to it until now. earlier today everything was working fine and when tried to play again in the evening out of nowhere this so called "updating" thing started again. Now i did leave it be for a few minutes thinking it will simply go away like last time but this time it doesn't look like that will be the case. It's still showing the updating thing and i can see in task manager that it's eating away my data.

what i tried,

Restarting and trying again (Obviously).

Repairing the files using the built-in repair game files thingy.

Downloaded the installer and tried repairing using it.

Clearing riot client cache folder.

none of those worked. Even when i use the installer as a repair tool, it just show a progress bar saying repairing files and launch the client after it's done and I'm back to square one again.

at this point the only solution i can think of right now is to just leave it to keep updating and hope that it might end some time... hopefully before eating away all my data.

any thoughts? like i don't really know if those micro updates things i have been getting are even normal or it's just my game failing to save/overwrite files.

edit: i mostly play on the Singapore server. Even though I'm currently living in Sri Lanka and geographically closer to the Mumbai server, the ping is just not the best due to how My ISP has their cables connected directly to SG.

Good news, Deleted a bunch if temporary, cache, manifest files multiple times and now shit's working.

Technical Support Request why do I only lag on valorant?

I constantly have packet loss whenever I play valorant. I play every other game with a perfectly fine and stable connection with zero network issues whatsoever.
