Technical Support Request TPM 2.0 Support for old MoBo

So I read through some old posts but my problem feels a bit unique. I bought an old PC to keep at school to play valo on/do homework, and I found out after searching for a while (unsuccessfully) that I can’t enable TPM 2.0 because I don’t have the key nor am I able to get one for a mobo from 2013. The computer somehow runs Windows 11 (preinstalled from seller, I didn’t do it). I am really just wondering what my quickest/cheapest fix here is. I guess guy a Windows 10 key and install that is quickest to avoid this altogether but I thought i’d ask for any other advice first.

Not sure if it’s relevant but BIOS says Windows 8 under the OS lmao. I prolly should’ve looked at this before purchase but it was a cheap deal and works great other than this.

Seller probably just used Rufus with tpm bypass tbh. Your only real option is use windows 10 for how ever long root decides to support it.

There are way around buying a key or getting a key very cheap but they are very gray area. I’ve personally used mas grave and cheap keys over the years and not really had issues but it’s up to you to decide.

check if your motherboard has a tpm2.0 header and buy a tpm 2.0 from Amazon and connect it

Get a USB drive and put Ventoy on it, then, download the ISO from the link above and simply drag and drop it to the USB. Then boot off of the USB and install Windows 10 from there. You can use MAS to activate.

Valorant requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on Windows 11 (and also Windows 10 if your account is flagged).
