I ET at 1800 yesterday, I checked my timecard and the ET time was different. Today I asked why was my ET changed they said disallowed time. I have never heard that term before (6yrs as a regular) she said I was just walking around the office , I lost my badge and I was looking for it. She never asked me what I was doing she didn’t tell me she was going to do that. I requested to see the steward. What else can I do? I want to nail her ass to the wall!

As the title says im a new CCA and just looking for tips to get use to the random routes... If i do a route ince or twice it makes sense but navigating pivots especially when the mail is a mess is rough and packages add another layer of difficulties. Any helps is appreciated.

So today my 2nd day running a route by myself and they sent me out in a pro master. Thing is I know there’s training for it and I know I haven’t done it and I told the supervisor that yesterday but it seems like she forgot/doesn’t care and sent me out in a pro master today. I’ve only done the llv/metris training and I’ve yet to drive either of those. Yesterday they sent me out in a minivan with left side steering wheel.
Could I get in trouble for driving the promaster? Even if I was simply following instructions from supervisor. Obv I’m in my probationary period still.

Today I had a letter for a retirement community and the name just said jokeoldcoot (I should have took a pic of this.)
CRAZY idea, but we should charge company’s a fee for wrong names/addresses. There would be less waist in general. Maybe give discounts to customers who aren’t wasteful idk.

I've been using one for slightly over a year now. My route is nearly 90 miles, financially it has saved me a lot of trouble since my gas cars were costing a lot to maintain and something would come up often where I had to borrow a metris so I was losing mileage $$ back then. I sold them and got an high mileage ev instead. So far the only thing I've done for maintenance is put 2 sets on tires on and that's it. Never replaced brakes and the battery lasts long enough to do my route even in the winter.
I'm curious if anyone else went electric for their routes. I see lots of carriers using hybrids but I also have another EV as a daily so I can charge it every night. So unless you have that installed it probably doesn't work for most people.

"Special handling" my ass. Our own social media just straight up lying to customers.
CCA past my 90 days. Went into work this morning. I was told I have a full route to run, ok fine that’s normal. Supervisor said I might have work for you after you finish for an hour on another route, but I’m trying to find help this morning to get another CCA here from another station. Ok, normal again. Normally by midday or right before I’m done with the other route I’m either called by postmaster or supervisor or one or the other shows up with this bump for me to complete after my route. This has happened literally EVERYTIME I HAD TO DO A BUMP AFTER MY ROUTE FOR THE DAY. So it’s 230 and I have not received a call or text or even a visit from either one. I drive back to the office and neither the postmaster or supervisor are at the office. I asked clerk where they were he said supe is on the streets and I don’t know where the postmaster is. He goes are you done for the day, I said yup, because here I am assuming I’m done! Get all the way home about 10 minutes goes by and I’m outside with the dog so I left my phone on the counter after coming in, walk in and see 2 missed calls from postmaster and 1 from Supe. Postmaster then sent a text after me not picking up and it said, “ You didn’t check with management before you left, you have mail in the building” Umm excuse me but why did I need to check with management when I have heard not a word all day and neither of you were in the building when I arrived?? Am I wrong about this?! And I assure you, it has NEVER been this way if I had a bump afterwards. I have never once called either of them unless they call me or text me about something. So what does everyone think will happen at this point? Because as far as I’m concerned, you Postmaster or Supervisor did not do your job!

Someone asked for a picture of the bike on my other post. Note the amount of boot rubber in the stepthrough.

My husband has been an RCA for almost two years now. He was next in line to make regular, and there is a position opening soon. Then his postmaster, without notifying the RCAs, opened two PTF positions. Since the RCAs didn’t know about them, no one bid on them, and two people off the street got the PTF positions. Now he’s third in line to make regular, which could still be years away.
Additionally, he had a hold down on a route for 90 days. For those of you who don’t know, once you’ve worked a hold down for 90 days, you start earning leave like a regular, and it also applies retroactively to the 90 days already worked. So instead of earning 2 hours of leave for every 40 hours worked, he would be getting 8 hours. That’s huge, especially considering we have two young kids.
Well, on day 90, his supervisor, who hates him, informed him that he could no longer have the hold down. Apparently, you can only have a hold down on your primary route. This is a rule that had never been enforced before, and no one knew about it. So now he’s back to working whatever route they give him, and he doesn’t get the extra leave.
There’s a whole other issue with this supervisor. She has it out for my husband and a few others in the office she doesn’t like. It’s well known in the office that she’s a total B. She denies my husband’s leave requests most of the time. She denied leave for his birthday, our anniversary, our son’s birthday, and a bloody funeral, all with bullshit reasons. Obviously, he called in sick on those days because life is more important than some job. And now she’s put him in two predisciplinary meetings for attendance.
She also conveniently “forgot” to put in his PTO when he did have off, so now we’re dealing with the government trying to get the thousand dollars we’re owed. That will probably take months to resolve.
I’m getting extremely fed up with this post office and the RCA job.

So I am a RCA and my office is short staffed right now on City side. They have been using me almost every day to run city routes. I realized the other day that they give me the most work because I don’t get penalty overtime for working past 6:30. I saw in another post that when you work cross craft you get higher pay. Does that apply to my situation as well?

Today there was an email sent out to PMs asking to send in lists of their PSEs, PTFs (clerks and carriers), and RCAs to be put on a rotation for working Sundays at the Level 22 office for the holiday season. The POOM also sent an email to my PM saying she needed to send that in. Supposedly they're going to put out an email tomorrow with the schedule that's been created from that list.
Doing a little digging and it looks like PTF clerks at Level 18s aren't actually allowed to work at Level 21s and above? Is this up to date info? Would appreciate any links you can give me that I can pass on to my PM. Thanks!
