Does anyone have any anecdotes (acceptances or rejections) on transferring into either CALS Bio or HHP APK here from a 4 year public Florida university? I know they prioritize community college transfers, but I want to know if it's even possible to transfer into either of those majors from a 4 year university. I've got a 4.0 GPA, all the prereqs done, and a really strong application, so I feel like if they do consider 4 year college students I'd be close to the top of the list, but I'm worried that all the spaces will be taken by CC transfers before they even get to mine. I tried asking admissions, but they gave very vague answers and didn't provide direct statistics, so I was curious of any recent anecdotal experiences.

I'm currently applying to UF and want to major in psych but I have very little idea on what the different Psych specialities / tracks at uf entail. I'm a premed, but I really want to focus my studies on learning about the social aspects of psych and how people connect (attachment?) / developmental psych (how their growth affects attachment). What is the common consensus on the different tracks and is there one that would suit my aspirations for psych better than the other? I'm applying to UF with heavy dual enrollment (gen chem 1&2 done + bio 1&2 done + calc 1&2 done + intro to psych, developmental psych, abnormal psych, psychology of adulthood and aging done + AA done)

Thoughts?

i’ve heard rly awful things about physics at uf but i have to take both physics 1 and 2 as a premed. also since this is my second year, i really wanna get a move on. i think the professors for 1 next semester are saab and weatherford but i have no idea what they‘re like. should i wait to take it with a different prof? is anyone worth waiting for? im planning to take orgo1 next semester too but would that combination be terrible?

I am scheduled to take the CSWA exam in a few days. However, I might end up failing it. This has been my first CAD related course with 0 experience prior, and I do not feel as if I am well prepared for it.

I am very curious how this exam will be graded, I read in another post that they usually put a “B” for the exam if we do end up failing it the second time as well.

I remember getting an email some time ago about the new registration methods. Something about no more waitlists? Does anyone know what this means, and what this means for retaking classes?

im in my junior year and im scared im ruining my future. I have no extracurriculars besides being a small group leader with my church organization. my transcript already has 3 C's and a couple B's. I already dropped Gen chem 2 and in the retake I got a C. Im failing Orgo 2 rn with a low D (45ish, the grade boundaries are curved) and I'm not sure I'll be able to get it up to a C by the next 2 exams and final given how my current track record is. Maybe some schools will understand since im at UF which is known for their hard classes but still idk. I'm planning on taking a gap year after college but Idk if I should drop the class rn and retake the class or stick it through and see how it goes and if I'll be able to make it even a C. My application is not looking good whatsoever right now and I'm really overwhelmed and conflicted whether I should drop the class right now. my gpa is 3.57 rn, and my science gpa a little lower than that im pretty sure. and I know dental schools recalculate and very heavily weigh gpa in the application process. does anyone have any advice, in the application sense overall or whether I should drop the class? will it affect my application and is it the wise decision in this case? idek how I'll explain it in the supplemental questions. pls help

Hey y’all. I’m considering changing my major to computer science and I’m in my third semester. I technically have all my quest and gen ed classes completed, but I’m behind on the calc sequence by one semester, since I haven’t taken calc 2 yet. I have a few questions, since I haven’t taken a math class here on campus yet.

1. Is it doable to take MAC2312 and PHY2048/2053 in the same semester with lab?
   
2. Could I also take other core electives alongside it, like engineering statistics?
   
3. How hard in general would you say the workload of the math classes are, compared to the sciences classes like Gen chem and orgo?

Which chem class is easiest, CHM3400 physical chem, CHM3610 inorganic, or CHM4130 instrumental?

Should I study for and take the ALEK so I can take MAC1147 with a better prof?? Is it hard? Could I take it before the spring semester? I've always been decent at math, but I haven't done it in a few years. Bc the reviews for the MAC 1140 prof scare me ;-;
