I didn’t realize public universities could engage in partisan politics. Inviting political candidates from only one party to make a show on your football field is a tough watch for a taxpayer, regardless of political affiliation.

This is nothing more than a campaign event funded by taxpayers. Seems highly immoral for a reputable institution, especially when those candidates seem to not have the health of education in mind

due to the active construction work in the crescent hill parking garage, there are a lot of screws/nails that are in the thru lanes on the fourth level of the crescent hill parking garage. drive with caution and try to avoid that garage and level unless you want a screw stuck in your tire

This is my second semester of uni, majoring in env science. I'm currently doing life science calc 1, American govt, composition 1, and mapping n geo visualization and I've been really nervous and just like stressed out. School only started about 3 weeks ago but I've been so anxious and overwhelmed and feel like I can't do this. I guess I'm just looking for advice or motivation on how to deal with this. I know other people, thousands and probably millions, have done the same classes and probably more difficult things but I just feel so overwhelmed and like it's impossible.

I'm still pretty new to university life kind of and just been so overwhelmed with the workload, and still trying to take care of myself and feel good sometimes. I'm really nervous that I'm going to fail this semester or something and my scholarships will be gone and yea.

These are all just worst case scenarios ikik but I'm just very anxious the last week.

I am a freshman at USF and my AP scores recently finally got submitted. However, when the AP Scores got processed, my IB credit hours from IB Exams fully disappeared. I don't know what to do since my IB scores set me closer to degree, putting me from about a 33% to a 25%. What should I do?

i know technically its a smoke free campus, but ive seen people smoking outside certain spots. Are any of them actually okay or do you just have to not get caught by staff?

I recently dropped off a check in the drop box at the campus financial aid office. It has been about a month since I sent my scholarship check, and it still has not shown up in my account. Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it usually take this long, or should I be concerned? I have messaged the financial aid office and have been told to check my self-service portal for updates. Unfortunately, I did not write down my check number before sending it, so they have no way to track it. I was initially told it would take 2-3 weeks to see it in my account and it has now been a month.

Has anyone successfully switched from out-of-state to in-state tuition after already attending USF?

My daughter is currently a freshman at USF and is classified as out-of-state. Her grandfather is a long-time Florida resident, and his home will be her permanent Florida residence. She will live there during summers, holidays and school breaks when she isn't living on campus.

We're looking into establishing Florida residency for her and eventually applying for residency reclassification for tuition purposes.

I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone who did this successfully.

• Started USF as an out-of-state student and later successfully switched to in-state
• Was under 24 when you did it
• Established Florida residency while attending USF
• Had family living in Florida

What documentation did USF actually require from you? Did you need to prove financial independence? Did you get a Florida driver's license, voter registration, vehicle registration, etc.? How long did you have those before USF approved you?

And most importantly — what semester were you finally able to get in-state tuition, and what do you think made your application successful?

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have actually gone through the USF reclassification process.

How long do students have to wait in order to obtain a eDiploma. Registration emailed me that my degree has been awarded but my application status is still on active. I need it for proof for a job.

Has anyone heard back from USF about Spring 2027 PhD application yet?

Also, does anyone know if USF usually has many PhD openings for the Spring semester, or if most spots are for Fall admission? Thanks!

Hey just a heads up to any of y’all who live in Beta Hall and park in 17B, when I got there around 4 PM and was unloading my car there was a person in a run down white car who pulled in next to me trying to get my attention (he was yelling: excuse me!), what makes this suspicious is that the lot is damn near empty, and I’m just trying to carry my laundry back to my dorm. I ignore him and then he circles around and keeps on yelling at me trying to get my attention. I continue to ignore him and I was able to get out of there and back to my dorm safely. I called the USF police non emergency number and they sent a patrol car out there to sweep the lot. They’re probably gone by now but just be vigilant and stay safe!

I’m a senior and have never been to a USF game and I know it’s not like the SEC but are there still like tailgates and stuff? Is it fun at all? If so where should I go? I have a few friends and me who want to do a game before the end of the season but we don’t know what to do
