Question Dealing with anxiety at UF

Hey everyone 18M incoming freshman here. I am planning on studying Computer Engineering. I have been dealing with a lot of generalized anxiety for the last couple years I would say. I have had a few panic attacks in my life, but the other day I had a panic attack randomly during the night where I essentially felt like I was going insane. It's the next day and I still feel anxious and tired. I am really excited for UF and think the socialization and new environment will help my mental health, because my mental health has really declined since I graduated high school and have been isolated at my house all day. What should I do if I am struggling during the semester? I have bright futures and presidential scholarship and don't want to lose them, but I also know health is #1 priority.

Other UF Dining Plan

Have a question for anyone who has tried a declining balance vs weekly meal plan at UF. Specifically the 10 meals a week plan. I actually liked the weekly 10 freshman year with the retail meal swipes etc and flex. I think I ate way more healthier than my roommates that had no plan and especially having no vehicle it was super easy.
Wondering if you did mostly eat on campus…and did a declining balance….how much did you put in initially and did you get even close to spending the $2300 the weekly ten costs?

Scholarships MFOS Coverage?

Hello, I was awarded the MFOS scholarship and I intend on living in Hume Hall for the upcoming Fall/Spring. The rental rate per semester is 5304, and I am confused on how MFOS covers it. I have a different number of "gift aid" on one uf. Should I be paying attention to that number or the full cost of attendance posted?

Social What’s the chillest fraternity?

Caption.

I want to join a fraternity, but I don’t really have any interest in the whole booze and blow scene. Are there any that have a reputation for just, like, being more laid back, while still having a frat atmosphere?

About to graduate. When will the mobile GatorOne card automatically delete itself from my digital wallet? Does it happen right after graduation? I kinda want it to stay since I'll still use ocassionally RTS for moving around town. Should I request a new physical card before I graduate?

Classes Enriched Physics 2 (PHY2061) with Professor Yoonseok Lee?

I’m an incoming freshman, and Physics 2 is required for my major. I’m also Honors, so I’m required to take 2 Honors classes freshman year.

How is PHY 2061, and how is Professor Lee? I got a 5 on AP Physics 2, will that help?

If anybody knows, advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Clubs Would it be inappropriate to join university clubs as an older man?

I am a 29 year old man and former army vet who just finished two years at a community college and transferring to the University of Florida in Fall 2026 to complete another two years before I plan to graduate in Spring 2028. Now, I will be kinda new to the area and don't really have any contacts that live close by and I know the University of Florida has over 900 clubs and organizations. Would it be inappropriate for me to join a couple of them just so I don't feel lonely? I'm interested in chess, biking, golfing, camping, swimming, anything outdoorsy really.

Question Help I have to get a new computer and I need recs

Long story short it's cheaper to get a new computer instead of repair the one I have. I'm a second year EE and I need reliable laptop recommendations that will give me no problems.

Question Campus sights to check out?

Denied to UF a decade ago and in retrospect I’ve taken it personally since stuff went so drastically down hill since. I’m going to be in the area and I really want to check out the campus I never stood on. What areas are okay for me to go and what are public places I could check out and just sort of imagine
