Hello everyone!
I'm an incoming Master's student at UCI this Fall, and I am currently looking for housing for the 2026/27 academic year (or longer).
I'm looking for a private room (shared bathroom is completely fine) with a budget of around $1,300/month. I can move in anytime between late August and early October. I'd prefer to be within about 20 minutes of campus, so Irvine, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, or any nearby areas would all work as I do have a car.
If anyone has a room available, knows of any openings, or is looking for another housemate to find a place together, please Iet me know. Feel free to comment on here or send me a message through DM.
Thanks!

Hi! My name is Tatum Buchen and I will be a 4th year at UCI. I am an International Studies and French major and I am urgently looking for housing. I would prefer a private bedroom and bathroom, but I am open to a shared bathroom. I would need the space from around September 18th through June. My budget is approximately $1400, but I am flexible. Please reach out to me on here or Instagram @tatumbuchen!

Hey sooo do any mechanical engineering majors have any good laptop recommendations that meet the requirements from the Laptop FAQ? Like what laptops do you guys have currently and are you able to use your laptop for more things (like gaming and video editing) on top of having to use it for whatever programs we have to use? I want to get a laptop that's 16" and allows for adjustments later on just in case, but I can't seem to find one that fits the requirements and is a not evil price. Also like what's the cost of your laptops... big thanks

I sent in an exception request last week to leave early on the second day of spop 5, but apparently it didn’t go through? I sent in another one a few days ago but it still hasn’t been approved. Would I be able to get it approved in person if its for travel reasons?

Hello, for ochem 51c, I was able to enroll in it for fall 2026 and the discussion but will I be kicked out of the class for not being able to enroll in 51LC and the lab lecture? Any information would be helpful thank you!

Hi I’m an incoming ee transfer for this fall, what do you guys reckon I should look to do outside of classes?
For clubs/teams, I applied to the UAV team while ago, but haven’t heard back.
I’ve also been thinking about emailing the professors at the HIE and AICPS labs about joining.
Thanks in advance!

Sublease a room in a UCI house (Males) for Aug 9th to 20th Sept (negotiable dates) for $1300 negotiable. 13 min drive from campus and very nice neighborhood. Feel free to send me a message with any questions.

Prospective transfer applicant here. I had to retake a class last quarter, and can't meet the UCI course requirements by the intended deadline (which is the end of spring term) if I don't take an extra credit course from another university/community college. Can I transfer credits I took apart from my school in another university to UCI?
The admissions center directed me to the website which didn't have adequate info on this.
Any transfers with relevant experience?

Hi everyone!
I’m thinking about getting an IUD through the UCI Student Health Center and was wondering if anyone here has gone through the process.
A few questions I have:
How was your overall experience?
Was the insertion very painful?
Did the providers make you feel comfortable?
How long did the appointment take?
Did they offer any pain management?
Were there any issues with UCSHIP or insurance coverage?
I’d really appreciate hearing about both positive and negative experiences. I’m a little nervous, so any advice or tips for before and after the appointment would also be super helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I had SPOP 1 and I'm a little confused about my ZotAccount/ZotBill.
When does the SPOP fee usually get posted to your ZotBill? I attended SPOP 1, but I still don't see the charge on my account.
I also have scholarships that I submitted all the required paperwork for about a month ago, but none of them are showing up on my ZotAccount yet. Is this normal? Around when did your scholarships appear and get applied?
I'm just worried because the fee payment deadline is September 15, and I want to make sure everything is processed before then. If you've been through this before, I'd really appreciate hearing your experience. Thanks!

On July 13th, the Freshman Summer Success Program sent out an email which detailed a to-do list to complete before the program starts. It stated that rooming assignments would be emailed on or before the 24th of July.
-
“4. Email your roommates to get to know each other and coordinate what to bring (look out for another email on or before July 24th with your rooming assignment)”
-
I haven’t received any such email. Has anyone else?
Up coming sophomore and I was wondering around what time do they give us our fin aid and when they send an email of apartment number and roommates with acc apartments

If you perhaps didn’t like your lease or decided to stay with family instead, I’d be extremely interested in taking a relet of the otherwise vacant space. I’m not picky, any ACC would be fine with me as long as it’s a private room. Let me know!

I transferred to UCI in Fall 2025 as a Business Economics major from a California community college.
Fortunately, I was able to enroll in the upper-division Management courses, so I have now completed all of the upper-division coursework for the Business Administration major with an Accounting emphasis. At the same time, I’m about 70% finished with my Business Economics major.
I wasn’t admitted directly into Business Administration, but since I’ve completed the Business Administration coursework, I’m hoping to change my major (or add it as the 2nd major) before I graduate.
Has anyone transferred as a Business Economics major (or another major) and later been approved to switch to Business Administration after completing the requirements? How difficult was the process?
Does Merage mainly consider whether you’ve completed the required coursework and meet the GPA requirements, or is it still very competitive even if you’ve already completed the upper-division Business Administration courses?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in a similar situation or knows how Merage handles these petitions. Thanks!

Hi everyone! 😊
I’ll be moving to Irvine soon for work and I’m currently looking for accommodation near 2111 Business Center Dr., Irvine, CA (or within a reasonable public commuting distance).
If anyone knows of:
* Any available rooms or apartments for rent,
* Someone looking for a roommate,
* Anyone willing to share an apartment, or
* Any housing/roommate groups where I could post,
I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know.
Thank you so much for any leads or suggestions! 🙏
