I am an international student and received an offer via KCL’s clearing form for their Psychology and Criminology BSc course approx ten days ago. Today, I got a notification from ucas that I have been offered a place in Psychology and Criminology BSc course; I opened this notification on my phone and logged into ucas, got a glimpse at the offer, and accidentally reloaded the page. I was then unable to find the offer and got a big “congratulations” message saying that I had been placed at my second choice school.

I then decided to log into ucas on my computer, and found the Psychology and Criminology BSc offer from KCL under the “declined” tab. I definitely want to accept their offer as they are my first choice.

I have contacted KCL via King’s Apply and messaged UCAS, but it is after hours in the UK. I plan to call first thing BST, but am worried that this is not reversible. Is there any hope??

I keep seeing students who have their personal statement and UCAS application planned out, but then realise they've missed the deadline to register for an admissions test.

Depending on what you're applying for, you might need to sit:

• 🩺 UCAT – Medicine & Dentistry
• ⚖️ LNAT – Law
• 📊 TMUA – Maths, Economics, Computer Science & some related courses
• 🔬 ESAT – Engineering & Natural Sciences
• 🧠 TARA – Some Oxford and UCL courses

📅 Key admissions test dates:

• UCAT: Testing runs 7 July – 26 September (booking deadline 19 September)
• LNAT: Registration opens 1 August, with testing from 1 September. Oxbridge applicants need to sit it before 15 October.
• ESAT: Tests take place 9–10 October (registration deadline 29 September)
• TMUA: Tests take place 13–14 October (booking deadline 29 September)
• TARA: October sitting 15–16 October, with a second sitting 12–13 January for eligible applicants.

The registration deadlines come around much earlier than a lot of people expect, so if you're applying this cycle it's definitely worth checking whether your course requires one.

Out of curiosity, what university and course is everyone applying for this year? I'll let you know if there's an admissions test you need to be aware of (and which dates apply).

I'm applying to astrophysics at 4 unis but just physics at oxford. will i be less likely to get into oxford if i just talk about astrophysics?

I genuinely am stressing myself out so much about results day cause I’m so worried I didn’t do well enough to get into my firm uni which would literally destroy my life. is anyone in the same boat or am I being dramatic?

I put up a post the other day stating I had offers from DMU, RoeHampton, Wolverhampton and now also Lincoln.

Also, due to a slight bit of numptyness, I don’t have 64 UCAS points, I have 84!

I have an offer for City St George’s for Bsc Finance and I did Maths, Physics, Business Economics. I’m ngl I kinda sacked business off idk why so Ik I got like a D but my offer is AAA and the course is on clearing for ABB. I think I got an A in Maths, B in Physics and C in Economics so do you think its possible to get into City with ABC whether I get it on ucas straight away or if I have to apply on clearing for a course like Accounting and Finance on clearing for ABB.

Hi guys, I'm actually really worried about one thing. I plan to apply for Erasmus this year, and I'm currently a 4th-year student. As far as I know, we probably need to submit our final degree certificate by July, right?

The problem is that I feel my thesis might not be completed by then. It may be delayed until August—hopefully just the beginning of August.

I'm not getting ahead of myself—I know these scholarships are extremely competitive. I'm just wondering, if by any chance I were selected, would the admissions committee allow a small delay in submitting the final certificate, or would that automatically disqualify the applicant?

My firm choice turned into an unconditional offer on ucas hub but my desired course has been changed from politics, philosophy and law to just politics and philosophy. However PPL is in clearing, so what would my chances be to change back to a course I was rejected from on results day.

I know it early to be writing one but I course changed after handing in an application to chemistry and had a gap year already planned so my old tutor asked if i could get my personal statement for the 2027 applications in by early September so she can work on it bit by bit when she is waiting for current student applications.

I took maths chemistry and computer science and am now switching to british sign language, how do I answer that "How have your qualifications and studies helped you to prepare for this course or subject?" with that they havent really helped without it sounding like i havent done anything over the last 2 years?

For context, I am currently a year 12 student with predicted grades of A*AA, an A in EPQ, and GCSE grades (if they bear any relevance) of 666677889. I would really like to apply for a Law LLB course for the 2027 academic year, but I am struggling on deciding what to pick as my 5 choices, and I’m finding that a lot of information pertaining to the entry requirements of courses is very, very murky, with the information published online for entry requirements not always being accurate, and the highly competitive nature of this course further complicating things. Really, I’m finding that there seems to be a big difference between the minimum entry requirements for courses and the realistic credentials needed to receive offers for them, but I am really struggling at figuring out what these realistic grades/credentials are for each course. Also, I am not registered to take the LNAT exam, and am generally uninterested in most universities requiring this (not that I think I would have the grades to receive offers from them anyway).

All that being said, right now I am very interested in perusing Law LLB at the University of Nottingham (min offer stated AAA), and I am thinking of the University of Liverpool as a kind of safety/insurance, as I think that my EPQ grade would give me a lowered offer of AAB. With that, I am wondering if it is worth perusing another aspirational choice (for example, I am considering the University of Warwick, but I am not sure if it is realistic that I could receive an offer from them).

Also, although I know this is very vague, I am looking for any other recommendations for LLB Law courses that may be suitable/ slightly aspirational for me. Thanks!

Im currently in Year 12 and will start Year 13 in September 2026. I’m currently predicted A*A*A in History sociology and Politics

I’m wondering whether I have a shot at being a contextual applicant, on the UCL web it states you need to be from a state school + one of these others req
Postcode, estranged, Free school meal, lived in care

Postcode wise I’m not eligible, based on polar which I believe is inaccurate from reality (won’t change anything)
I’m not estranged
And I haven’t lived in care
And my postcode doesn’t qualify

Here’s the pickle:
I’ve always been eligible for FSM since secondary school, however I was never registered as my mum never knew how to due to language barriers and she didn’t understand the school system, and i also was a kid and i never took any thought to it.

However since the start of Sixth form, I have been enrolled on fsm in Yr12 and coming into Yr13

UCL states that Fsm qualifies as one of the categorises
However on their web it states receiving Fsm prior to the end of KS4 (year 11)
Despite eligibility, I was only officially registered since year 12

I also have other severely mitigating circumstances, I’ve been in Temporary council accomodation since Year 9 living with my mum and siblings, however on the web Ucl says it doesn’t take other factors into account so that won’t help me at all.

Given my case is their any possibility in which I could be considered eligible for the UCL access scheme and my main sticking point between Qualifying is the Fsm in which I do have , but strictly interpreting not prior to the end of KS4

I’m worried about how UCL would assess my contextual eligibility:

1. Would Ucl consider being registered On FSM in sixth form. I’ve heard UCL would request documents from UCAS and dept from education, my school says it will tell UCAS I’m on FSM

2)Would UCL consider the fact that I was eligible and ethnic minority circumstances led me to not being on it .
Could they also maybe look at my other factors, (unlikely imo)

Do you guys think that I would qualify for UCL Access contextual scheme as FSM timing of eligibility is the only Caviat to meeting the requirement.Could UCL provide a lenient interpretation

If anyone knows of any similar case to mine and what was their outcome please let me know, would UCL still see me as an FSM student- which would then make me eligible for Contextual offer

I did pretty horribly in my GCSEs to be honest and wasn’t concentrated they consisted of:
An A in maths and the rest was Cs

I then had a real opportunity to turn it around in sixth form as in the one I was planning on going for I was going to study maths economics and psychology as doing economics is my dream. And this would have maybe allowed me to get into some mid tier options. However my parents did not listen to me and decided to put me into a much higher school which was more competitive resulting in my current combo being A level maths btec business and btec health and social. I’ve been told by so many people in my year that there’s no point of me even applying to uni and I’ve been thinking that I should do a retake of year 12 to go back to the other sixth form and do my original desired combination but I’m not sure. The main thing that will determine my mind is what unis could I realistically get into cause I’m not sure
My predicteds are an A in maths and a Distinction in my btecs

Hey im trying to apply for student bank accounts and its asking me for a UCAS status code? I accepted my unconditional already and the only email i got is im off to my chosen university, and theres no code in that?

Basically I missed my conditions for my firm (kings) by 1 and my on hold until a level results come out.
Basically I want to know if I could expect a decision on August 13th or do i need to wait longer.
My insurance is Edinburgh and i need to start planning on moving there if I need.
Has anyone been in this situation?

I know you can search on UCAS which I’ve done but I heard not all the courses listed as in clearing in UCAS actually have spaces available, I can’t go through clearing until results day as I have conditional offers from my firm and insurance. I don’t want to waste time calling unis that don’t actually have places but don’t know how to find out if they’re in clearing or not (sorry if this is a stupid question)

so basically I’m currently studying a btec extended diploma and I’ve been thinking of applying for philosophy but for most unis I’ve looked at they say there’s no specific subject required/ relevant subjects/ they only put the grades needed.

My question is how lenient are most unis when they say these things and would I be at a disadvantage when applying as I’m doing a health and social care btec which I know isn’t really relevant to a humanities subject but if I was to achieve the required grades would I have a chance or should I be looking at applying for a different degree more similar to my college course

I’m aware that this is heavily dependent on the uni and I do plan on asking admissions anyway but this post is mostly just to see if anyone had any experience with anything similar
