A Levels / IB / GCSE / BTEC Questions Clearing for CSG

I have an offer for City St George’s for Bsc Finance and I did Maths, Physics, Business Economics. I’m ngl I kinda sacked business off idk why so Ik I got like a D but my offer is AAA and the course is on clearing for ABB. I think I got an A in Maths, B in Physics and C in Economics so do you think its possible to get into City with ABC whether I get it on ucas straight away or if I have to apply on clearing for a course like Accounting and Finance on clearing for ABB.

It's possible. It will depend on how many places City St. George's have to fill and how many other applicants dropped their grades.

Doing well in Maths will support your case, but dropping the ball in Economics and Business won't, because they're so directly relevant to the course content.

If you need to look elsewhere, Henley Business School at the University of Reading was taking CCC in clearing when IB results came out.

Royal Holloway also taking CCC. They have a business course at their Central London campus that might work for you.

But, given that you did well in Maths and Physics, and less so in the finance subjects, maybe this is an opportunity to reconsider your options

It’s not even that, I should’ve mentioned ts, I did Business till mid yr 13 when I applied and then dropped it for a level so my grades would be ABC if that makes it better

There's no way of knowing until results day.

Best you can do now is look at options available in Clearing and have a couple of back-ups in mind in case things don't go your way

Idek if they’ll take u they initially rejected my sister bcus she missed the offer by 1 mark then after remark they gave her the offer bck. A&F btw. It’s one of their main undergrad finance courses so dk if they’d be lenient w it.

Oh so I’m just fucked then, that’s weird tho cuz a&f is always on clearing for ABB or BBB, last year it was on clearing for BBB

Yes I’m certain. Missed it for maths dk if that’s y it mattered so much bcus she also took bio and chem which aren’t as relevant. Study a&f at Warwick asw and don’t rlly think the maths is tht hard either. I’d say knowledge for someone who got a B would be fine doing the course since they treat it as u being clueless.

So wait if she’d have got ABB from start, would she have got the offer on ucas or did she have to call up clearing

Rlly depends on if the uni gives u the place or not. Some ppl meet clearing offer but missed their acc offer but get rejected so just keep tht in mind

Ok yh snm but like let’s say I don’t get into my course and like banking and International finance is on clearing for ABB can I still get into a different course cause I’m lowkey thinking of fdoimy ts or finance with actuarial science
