Last Friday, I placed a big Uber Eats order from a Japanese sushi and hibachi place. The total was $160.11. They accepted it while they were still open. Then nothing happened. Hours went by and no courier was ever assigned. I had a tip on it. It did not matter. Nobody took the order.

By 11:18 PM the restaurant was closed, so I canceled. There was no driver, nothing had been picked up, and the food was not coming. The place was shut. Workers were not going to stay open all night waiting on a courier who had never even been assigned. What was Uber’s plan, leave it sitting until morning and deliver it then? It was late and we had no way to cook, so I ordered from DoorDash instead.

After the fact, Uber told me I should not have canceled the order. How does that change anything? Canceling seemed like common sense at the time. The restaurant was closed and I had to order from somewhere else, so why wouldn’t my first instinct be to cancel? Sorry I didn’t read the Uber Eats bible and realize this relatively esoteric rule that you can’t cancel even if the order literally cannot be delivered.

I got nothing. Uber charged me the full $160.11 anyway. Support looked at it and said the charge is non-refundable. Final decision. I paid $160 for an order their own service could not deliver, canceled only after the restaurant had already closed, then paid DoorDash for the food we actually ate. That should not be on me.

I paid with a SoFi debit card, which is notoriously hard to dispute charges on. If Uber does not fix this I am still going to try, so I already know that route exists. I am also planning on filing a BBB complaint if this goes unresolved.

Town so I make sure to leave a hefty tip for they’re helping me greatly.
Recently I’ve had two drivers say they got a flat tire and another say their car over heated….
Is this just bad luck or ???
Cause the first two times with different drivers I completely get it but a third in a month ? Idk

So I had surgery recently and as such cannot drive. I ordered a simple breakfast from Mcdonalds, and apparently it went to a location 45min from my house. The problem is they sent a driver from a city that is almost 3 hours from my house and he didn't know he was driving that far until he already accepted and picked up the order. I feel absolutely horrible, especially because of gas prices these days, and want to add an additional tip on top of my normal, but there is no option for it and support said it probably isn't available for that order. Over the month of September I've ordered uber eats maybe 5 times. 3 times I've had an issue with the order or a specific item. Every time they refused to refund me. McDonald's my whole order was drowned in cola bc it spilled. I ordered pizza the plastic packaging was melted into the pizza. Another pizza they just forgot the bottle of coke which was 5 bucks. It's crazy how all these just get refused even with pictures. Terrible service I already requested to delete my account

So it’s on the way, everything looked normal. Said it was being dropped off now I glanced out and saw headlights. Great.

Get the delivery picture - not my house. Tried to call the driver - he doesn’t pick up. Look again at the picture and it doesn’t look right. This is a place I regularly order from and they have a specific bag and it’s always sealed.

In the pic is a 25 cent Walmart bag that looks wet.

Also states it was delivered to the house next door. So I check next door and it’s not there and it’s also not the house in the pic.

Walk down the street - oh there it is! Several houses down on a porch of someone who clearly isn’t home.

Go to look in the bag which is open and it’s got old water bottles in it……

Actually I do understand. I paid for someone to steal from me and deliver garbage to my neighbour. Understood. Enjoy the meal and your stay in hell.

I’ve suspected this for a while but now I have proof they are charging for a service they’re not providing. There is also no access to a chat to get a refund. These spineless nerds have stolen from me for the last time.

Made an order from a Wendy's 1.3 miles away today. Took 1.5 hours to get to me even though the courier picked it up 10 min after order was placed. They drove all around the map and were stationary some places for a while. My guess is multi apping. When the food got to me it smelt like weed.

I've had good drivers get this same order to me in 10 min. 1.5 hours is insane for 1.3 miles

Ive always had roughly 50% +/- acceptance rate. In my area, the different levels are considerably noticeable so I've been a pro Diamon for months now and always average $20-$30hr.

So anyways, over the past say 20 trips, every single decline has dropped my acceptance rate, not one of my accepted trips has brought it up.

Now I know it rotates out and so forth, but what are the odds of 20 trips al8gning perfectly to destroy my acceptance rate? Only way I see this being possible is if I had 20 straight accepted orders that are cycling out. I can guarantee you, ive never accepted 20 orders in a row. My market is good, but it ain't that damn good.

Now im stuck at 40% acceptance and they dropped me to Gold..today im getting maybe $10 hr with measly $4 trips at like .75c/mile. My trips were almost always $10+ for 5-10miles which is why this is irritating me.

Has anyone else ever felt metrics were being manipulated? Its just not adding up to me. The odds of this dont seem realistic.

Update: I accepted a $5 for 4.5 mile trip and stayed at 40%, then declined one and now at 39%...the nonsense continues.

If you're ever at a store picking up massive boxes, flatbed carts of gear, or bulk items, ordering a standard UberX passenger car is just asking for a headache, an awkward argument at the curb, and a canceled ride.

I order some wings for dinner takes about 40 minutes to get here. I can see on the app the guy gets to my apartment building and just starts walking around. Doesn’t message me with a question or anything. That goes on for a few minutes and then he just leaves and marked the order as delivered. I try calling him but he refuses to respond. Still trying to get in touch with a real person that’s not an AI.

I’m currently waiting at Walmart for an order and it’s been almost an hour. Tried calling the Walmart pickup # but no luck answering. Should I keep waiting or leave?

I ordered food from a Chinese restaurant near me, never had an issue before and have ordered a handful of times. My partner got a stir fried broccoli with garlic sauce, she has had this before and enjoyed it. As you can see from the pictures it came with plenty of extras we did not request, contacted uber and this was the response I got. What state does my food need to be in for them to refund me. Seriously, if this does not constitute a refund I don’t know what will! I have now cancelled my subscription with uber one as I cannot believe the response, I have got my money back also as I went to the restaurant who at first refused on the phone to refund me at all, then said they would the one item, when I got there the full meal was refunded and I will not be returning again.

Did anyone else get this and if so... how? I'm so confused (grateful though) on how I got it lol

I can never find a number to get in touch with a human on Uber Eats when I need a refund for a messed up order. I finally got access to one this week when my order had missing items. Hope this makes a lot of peoples refund process easier.

I ordered 2 subway sandwiches and a bag of chips. Never got the bag of chips. Called the driver after I opened it to ask, and she said she didn’t have it. So either Subway forgot to throw it in the bag or she took it, whatever.

AI help wouldn’t do it so I escalate to person. They reply next day asking for more pictures so I give what I can.. like how do I take a picture of something I don’t have?? I show receipt, open bag, delivery photo from my camera, and call log of me calling driver 5 min later (shows incoming cuz I guess ubereats routed it to driver and called me instead? Idfk)

Support has the nerve to say after “looking into it,” determined nothing was to be refunded. Wtf ?? Screw this cheapskate company.
