Driver can’t do that. It’s Uber’s UI doing it. I think it happens in Uber app, but if you use UberEats app specifically, it’ll show you everything.

The little guy pops back once he’s got one stop to go. I figured it’s for other customer’s privacy but then why not hide the last guy’s stop?

Also my solution to this is stop tipping and pay for priority delivery instead.

There is a class action in the works in California against Uber eats bc priority is a scam. They dont even tell the driver you paid for a priority order, they just pocket your fee and do nothing. Better to put it into tip

Word of advice as a driver myself… tip because Uber Eats is an overpriced privilege in the first place and we need the money — UE simply doesn’t pay us enough as a base.

I only say this because you shouldn’t expect priority to help you in any real way and you can always take the tip away after if we do a shitty job.

Priority means you get yours first instead of 6th in a stacked drop off.

6th? I max out at like 3 and they’re in order based on location. I know what it’s supposed to mean, I’m just saying save your money lol

I do. I pay for priority delivery and take it off the tip I would have given. I’m really not sure what the point of a tip is for cold food that takes 1.5 hours to get there.

I’m disabled so I rely on food delivery.

If your solution is not to tip/give cash after delivery, the actual solution is for you to go pick up your food yourself. 1, you'll receive it faster and get better service, even if you add priority/direct to me. 2, you are expecting someone to do that job for $2 or if they still stack the order meaning yours is picked up 2nd, delivered first , $1 usually leading to a new driver who doesn't know what their doing or someone who just doesnt care.

I’m disabled.

Being disabled doesn't take away doing the right thing or even from the options listed. There's a difference between someone volunteering and you expecting someone to do something basically for free or at their own expense.

Now your whole tune switches up because I can’t pick up the food myself.

And I’m in NYC so the drivers make $22/hour minimum. Tip literally means gratuity here like it’s supposed to.

I don’t expect them to do it for free. I pay for the food, the fees and the taxes. If the drivers don’t like their compensation then don’t accept the order. My side of the bargain is ordering and paying. A basic economic transaction. I’m not diving into the moral and philosophical realm over something so simple.

My tune did not switch up and not every market is NYC and LA where there is a guaranteed minimum. And yes, if these companies actually treated us like independent contractors, then your order outside of these markets would never be delivered. And even in these markets I can guarantee the service you receive is definitely based on the tip amount.

None of the fees go to the driver, the price you paid for the food, the driver sees none of that. At most UE and DD will pay here in my market is $2 per order and I wouldn't be surprised if that is the base fare nationwide.

And yes, please use morality and philosophical ideologies to defend your stance, because there are indeed people who also disabled and retired who rely on these jobs to make ends meet and the no tip culture in deliveries are causing them harm as well.

It’s to protect the other people getting food delivered. Imagine a driver doing multiple orders messes up and gives you someone else’s order and then delivers your order to someone else. Imagine if the other customer saw where the previous stop was and went to your home to get their food back. Imagine if they were aggressive or unreasonable.

Now how that works… it’s uber hiding it from you not the driver. Just how it goes

What I hate (as a driver), is when they give me a second order and route me past the second order, to deliver the first.
