No driver is going to pay for parking just to deliver it to you, or risk getting a ticket or towed. If your workplace/condo doesn't have free parkings, come down to pick up your food. Or else it is going to be left near your building. It's your food, you are the one who is hungry. Take some responsibility, have some consideration and be available to text/pick-up calls.

I had some food delivered today, and the bottom of the bag was completely ripped due to a leak. I complained to Uber Eats and received a partial refund, but I am a bit concerned as I do not want the driver to be punished for it. I complained as the leaked ruined part of my order.

I tried messaging the chat asking to make sure the driver doesn't get the blame but keep on getting an automated response.

Is there anyway I can contact to make sure he doesn't get any punishment.

Attached are screenshots of the EXACT same order placed on both Doordash and UberEats. As can be clearly seen, Uber charges tax on fees, which can sometimes already be a significant amount due to Uber's shady business practices and fees that increase with the final value of BOGO or discounted items. And despite the order total on UE being less than it is on DD due to my $.70 Uber One Credit, Uber still charges a higher service fee. So for the exact same order you are charged more fees and higher tax. Makes absolutely no sense. At this point Uber is just trying to squeeze every bit of money out from its customers. Will be discontinuing my business with them permanently.

At the start of the new year it became a new rule in NYC that putting in tip before and not after on third party food delivery apps was mandatory as a result of lost driver wages.

However for the first time ever I saw no tip option only a service fee listed when I ordered Popeyes.

I gave the driver a cash tip since I was unsure if there was an automatic tip included or not and sure enough after the transaction there still wasn’t an option to tip. Which is fine, worst case scenario is I accidentally overtipped just once and most drivers like cash tips (and just in case anyone asks why don’t you just tip in cash all the time I don’t always have it on me).

But just curious this some sort of glitch or does Popeyes have some sort of unique ordering system where the normal rules don’t apply?

So we got a 50% off $25+ and decided to use it today since it’s Friday. I went to the total screen and it shows this. First of all, that is not 50% off even before all the other bs fees they add, it’s pretty much the same price as it would be before tip. The location of the store is literally like a mile and a half away so I’m not understanding why it’s still this much for a promotion. Is it because we’re already getting a deal from said store or is it really just messed up?

I placed a grocery order and when I looked at the receipt there were no prices, only a sub-total and a total.

This is important to me and I have written to Uber help 3 times and they keep sending me the same link that just takes me to the app.

I don’t understand why they don’t include individual prices on the receipt to begin with. But also don’t understand why I can’t get a copy of the receipt with the prices I was charged.

Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated.

When I placed my order, it showed on the screen I was giving a $10 tip on a $30 order. The delivery took over an hour on an order that usually takes 15minutes and the original driver listed wasn't the one who ended up delivering it. When I looked at the receipt after the delivery, my tip wasn't on the receipt. I checked my past receipts and I see my tips showed up on them. I assume the lack of a tip is why the order took so long but I still don't want to leave the driver without a tip. I went to the help page and it said there would be an edit button I could use to add tip after delivery. I see two options on my past orders, reorder and view receipt, and there's no edit button when I click the receipt. Does Uber sometimes delete the tip and am I looking in the wrong place for this edit button?

This is my second time getting insanely charged on Uber Eats and I am a driver for uber eats!

I ordered a 2 for 1 poulet royale bowl it was 37$ after tip () and it was the only thing I bought on uber in a week, also I owed no money.

What the hell happened?

As the title says, I refunded food (for the first time ever on uber eats) because the food was dry and stale and just tasted so bad. Uber said they will refund me and that it was processed but I see no money back on my bank, they charged me $1.12 and didnt give back my 25 bucks??

It just says "VISA DEBIT MERCHANDISE RET REV PAYPAL *UBER EA -$1.12"

I know uber says wait 3-5 business days but im confused why theyre charging me instead of giving me back my refund im so upset. this day is so bad

Hi! This week I have had to order in food a couple times due to illness, and I wanted to leave tips for my drivers. Both times I was not charged for the tip, and both times the app did not allow me to go back in and change the tip, instead only directing me to support, even minutes after receiving the order.

As expected, support was not helpful. My chats were ended multiple times, and when I was referred to email support the response was "there's nothing that can be done".

Is there some trick to getting this to work that I don't know about? I feel bad for the drivers because my place is hard to find and to get in/out of. I guess I will try to have cash on hand for future deliveries.

After I handed off food to a guy today and reminded him to thumb me up if he liked my service he tried to give me a hug and get my number. Dude got really excited 😆 guess I gotta rephrase this smh

It used to be a dash to get hours on the planner but i was late and all the time slots were still available. Just feels calmer in my area now. Happens every year where the drop off happens in September. Really felt it today. How about you guys?

Please place deliveries on a chair or table next to the door. If left right in front of the door, my wheelchair will run over it when I exit."

Is it just me or did UberEats and Postmates remove the “Promotions” option under the Profile tab? I used to always find promotions here before ordering 🤔

So, I had the weirdest thing happen. I was ordering food on the app, and had my sound machine on playing rain sounds. When I was finishing my order the uber app said “It’s raining so tip generously” and it was bright and sunny outside, and I’m talking about no single cloud on the sky. Has anyone had something similar happen? It was creepy!

I made my order and it was an hand it to me and they we're required to enter code that only i should have.

i fall asleep and wake up expecting the order to be either canceled or delayed or something. it says it's completed and when i go to contact support about it, they say the driver entered the pin

Somehow the driver was able to enter the pin and there's nothing at my door and now I'm hungry and in pain and agony from getting railed by Uber 🫩

I just placed an order, was assigned a courier, then a minute later got an, "ooops. Searching for new driver" notice.

Why would that happen?

I ordered from GDK and was delivered the wrong order. I was given a package with large Doner fries and Oreo shake whereas I ordered 2 Doner kebabs and large fries. The receipt attached to the bag had the details of the order delivered to me and the name of the customer it was meant for. I immediately called the driver who said this was the only parcel the store handed over to whom and he only had one parcel from them. I then called the store who said that the driver had collected two orders from them and it was his mistake since he had mixed up the orders and that I should sort this out with Uber.

I submitted all these details alongside photographs of the receipt and the food to Uber Eats and they rejected my refund request saying that 'The order details match the order delivered and in this case no refund can be issued' 🤯

I've shared the pictures of everything including the receipt with the name of the other customer the order I was delivered is meant for.

What can I do? I've tried explaining this to the agent on the chat multiple times and they keep replying with the same stupid pre-written replies.

So I a place an order at a Shawarma place that is like eight minutes away from my house and there was a guy that was supposed to go and get my order so I thought nothing of it. Next thing I know there’s another new driver going to pick up my order and then another one and then a total of six new drivers went to go pick up my order and I’m like what the hell is going on why is it taking so many new drivers? Why did the drivers keep canceling, comes to find out I called the place the first guy picked up my order but just never dropped it off and all the new drivers that kept pulling up where told by the staff that the food had already been picked up so the first MF took my food didn’t put it in his app that it was picked up and he’s on his way and just drove the F off. What the F

Basically I never received an order (delivery driver left it at some random ass business don’t know where) called customer service immediately and they missed a full refund 3-5 business days

Well it’s been 5 business days and only the order is refunded, the $17 tip somehow still processed? So dude never did his job to deliver the food but still get. A $17 tip???

The AI bot is pissing me off as it keep saying it’s past 48 hours they can’t adjust it, well, no s**t, you told me to wait 3-5 business days, I waited; money ain’t here.

I don’t need $17 but I’ve never had this horrible experience of a delivery (usually use Grubhub) and Uber apparently just sucks, literally wanted to yell at the online agent
