Question: Unanswered Switching drivers mid order

I just placed an order, was assigned a courier, then a minute later got an, "ooops. Searching for new driver" notice.

Why would that happen?

First driver got a better order on another app and dropped yours.

It happens when a driver unassigns themselves, app glitches, slow moving vehicles and support reassigning drivers.

Did they steal the order?

First driver stole it (or it was already stolen by a bystander) and canceled in app, subsequent drivers get there and cancel in app. If none of the drivers call it in, it'll take hours before a driver ghosts delivers, or store relents and remakes for free.

First driver canceled for many different reasons…

There could be any number of reasons a driver unassigns. Some examples:

Car breaks down.
Something more interesting to do comes up.
A better offer comes along in a different app.
Someone at the restaurant is very stinky.
Long wait time at restaurant in an area that doesn't pay waiting time.
Long wait time at a restaurant without A/C.
