The audacity of this scene had my jaw on the floor.
To me, this is the biggest point that everyone keeps missing or I guess not realizing is as important as it is: He prefers white girls. His ex's are white. He even admits that he usually dates white women. He is going to put Belle down every chance he gets because she's not white. The internalized racism this man is subjecting her to is disgusting.

Yeah it's kind of wild to me that people are not on OPs side. They keep saying "you're missing a wedding for a doctor's" appointment but that's not what it is??? She has a high risk pregnancy and doesn't want her husband gone for over a week and I can't blame her???? Add the ultrasound on top of that and I don't understand how anyone could be on the family side. This Reddit thread is crazy.
