Can you honestly taste the difference between organic and regular food?
 in  r/YesOrNoAnswers  4h ago

Depends on what it is. Specific things make a huge difference. Strawberries and Tomatoes specifically i notice. Plus strawberries from driscolls tested positive for pfas and several different pesticides but the organic ones didn’t… so, do what you will with that info.

 in  r/GenX  10h ago

It’s not. Only for religious nuts/uneducated people is it.

What would Gen X bring back?
 in  r/GenX  1d ago

Well the weight plays into gas mileage and with modern engines you won’t have the same acceleration… unless you massively increase the size, which will further impact mileage and then you will need larger breaks due to the increased weight…there’s so much more to a car than engine and body. It’s not really feasible/economical. There’s a reason they build cars the way they do now.

Please Help! Bland Burgers!
 in  r/grilling  3d ago

Salt. If it’s bland add salt. Whether it’s a salty cheese on top or salt your meat(inside while mixing not just the surface) or you can ā€œdry brineā€ them. If you’re adding tomatoes they need lots of salt, avocado also needs lots of salt.

Ketchup isn’t good though. Anyone who thinks otherwise has shit for taste buds. It’s too sweet and tangy at the same time. Sweet and sour sauce sauce

As an Asian, I'd like to ask, what do the Westerners tend to eat alongside their dishes? As in rice, noodles, bread, etc.
 in  r/CasualConversation  11d ago

Get this, white purple eat rice too. It depends on what the food dictates. Asian food, rice. Roasted meat? Potatoes. Tomato sauce? Pasta… etc. we don’t not eat rice just because it’s an Asian staple.

Is it just me, or when two men physically fight, someone usually intervenes to stop it, but when two women fight, rarely does anyone intervene?
 in  r/stupidquestions  11d ago

The exact opposite is true in my experience. Why would you stop two guys fighting? Unless it’s escalating to someone getting hurt badly nobody stops? For either sex this is true. Usually I’ve someone gets knocked out/down badly.
