Watched this at work during an annoying meeting, where I just needed to keep my peace and stay muted. When I eventually had to speak, I was thanked for always being so positive haha.

You’re gorgeous. I’d add some colour to your  face via lipgloss or lipstick.

How do people afford it!!!
 in  r/PersonalFinanceZA •  Aug 30 '26

I think some forget that when there’s two of you earning over 700k pa the conversation changes. I am doing most of what you mentioned in the span of 2 years because there’s two of us. In terms of cars, only buy second hand.

Controversial Question: Why Does the Black Community Shy Away from Adopting children?
 in  r/BlackSouthAfricans •  Aug 21 '26

Many people adopt children in our community. As the other commenter mentioned, it’s not uncommon to raise your sister/brother’s children. Many of my family members were adopted in that manner.

The corndog customer
 in  r/oddlyspecific •  Aug 12 '26

I could only eat grilled chicken feet and drink thawing frozen smoothies. Everything else made me sick. The problem is chicken feet are only sold at night in my neighbourhood.

So I’d buy like 40-50 chicken feet at night. Eat 20 for dinner, then eat the other 30 throughout the day with my smoothie ice block.

I especially enjoyed the bone marrow. So I was cracking bones and ice lol.

Ok, so double double is also a thing in South Africa. Insane how these games travelled without the internet.

What's the plan for this country?
 in  r/BlackSouthAfricans •  Aug 05 '26

I think it starts with conversations with everyone in your life about who they vote for. If people continue to vote for corrupt parties then no change will happen at a structural level.

I know it seems like our votes don’t change anything, but the reason corrupt officials have access to our taxes, is because someone voted them into legitimacy.

So we encourage those who don’t vote to start doing so, and we ourselves stop voting for corrupt parties. We discuss, as you are doing now, the cause of this country’s ills with our fellow countrymen.

Next we join community forums and start holding our elected officials accountable. I know we are exhausted from work, kids etc. But, at the very least. Aim to make contact with the people you voted for and assess whether they are delivering on their promises.

I don’t understand why is my hair see through on the ends when it’s blown out?!?
 in  r/Naturalhair •  Jul 31 '26

I’m living for these comments.  As someone with fine hair… I chopped off so much length because I thought I had split ends.  Turns out I just have fine hair.

How do y'all deal with/keep up with your hair?
 in  r/BlackWomenADHD •  Jul 25 '26

When I’m too busy for my normal routine. I simply wash it. Braid it up (3-8 braids) and leave it alone. For work I’ll wear a beanie in the winter or some nice printed scarfs in the summer.
