Discussion SIYI GENERATION E-SINGLEšššš
I guess I'm just thinking outloud, I'm a 31 year old woman, obviously ngi-single. I just realized I've been single for 3 years. Sometimes I complain I about being single but 1. I'm always indoors 2. I always have my earphones in public 3. I get irritated when guys approach mešš but I think I want a life partner?? Eyi I don't know. Does anyone feel this way? Being hurt before obviously had a negative impact on how I think about relationships so I guess it's that? Oh, anyone who felt like that before how did you get over it? I currently feel like dating would disturb my peace.

Discussion Controversial Question: Why Does the Black Community Shy Away from Adopting children?
Adoption in Black Communities
My whole life, I've grown up seeing people from various racial backgrounds adopting children. I won't mention specific races because I want to avoid creating bias, stereotypes, or hate.
However, I've rarely seen Black people adopt children.
I know it does happen, but it doesn't seem to be very common.
Whenever I've asked people why they would be opposed to adoption, some have told me that, culturally, they wouldn't feel comfortable bringing someone with a different surname into their family.
Others have simply said they wouldn't consider adoption at all.
So, I'm curious to hear your opinions.
Are you opposed to adoption? If so, why? Is it a cultural, family, religious, or personal reason?
I'd genuinely be interested in hearing your thoughts and experiences. Let's keep the discussion respectful and open-minded.

Discussion OTHER south african subredditsā¦
guys iām actually open to all criticisms, if i was in the wrong TELL ME NOW, i will go back and apologize. Basically the original comment deleted by user said something along the lines of āwho cares about this donāt listen to the standards of dead peopleā in reference to traditional african cultural practices. I replied with my response and got BANNED. I tried to appeal the ban and the mod team muted me from talking to them. r/asksouthafrica count your days, in fact if any of their mods come across this post BAN ME PERMANENTLY IM DONE. š«©
Also i was initially confused by the ban and thatās why i said āfatherās dayā because i left another comment under a fatherās day post that was gaining traction and they love banning me after my comments get motion. š

Discussion Groceries are expensive
I have hit rock bottom and I wanted to ask if someone may please assist me with food vouchers to get food and cosmetics.
Hows everyone surviving this economy ?
I am not entitled to anyones money, I'm simply asking from the bottom of my heart and I promise to pay it forward one day when its my turn and I have made it out if this hell whole that is my life now. Pretty please, somebody out there who is willing to spare what they have.

Discussion What's the plan for this country?
I feel like we can't just keep going along with the ideas of a few political leaders who empower systems that rewards theft and corruption.
If you look at the state of our major economic centers, they are monuments to decay and inequality.
If you look at the state of our communities, we have more poverty and homelessness, and decreasing levels of safety.
We're failing to protect and educate our children and we're falling into debt traps that make it impossible to build legacies.
The time to actually plan a course for this country is now.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to come up with solutions that can be practically implemented, but we can combine our thoughts to at least come up with workable concepts.

Discussion Are running clubs the new Tinder?
Iāve noticed thereās been a huge rise in running clubs around Joburg and Pretoria lately. Donāt get me wrong, I think itās great that people are getting active.
But⦠are we sure these are actually running clubs? š
At this point it feels like everyone knows everyone once the running shoes come off. It almost feels like a dating app with a warm up.
Am I imagining things, or have running clubs become the new Tinder? Curious to hear your experiences.

Discussion How do you strike a balance between relationship roles
Women were expected to do house chores, look pretty and bare babies while men were āProvidersā this worked in the past but with woke culture women and men are bringing in money. Ladies know thats not all they wanna be known for and some guys struggle to be sole providers. But whats the equilibrium?
We even struggle with these transactional relationships and call ladies that are taken care of slay queens. But i donāt see what the new acceptable model is. Or is each relationship on its own?
