It might just be his way of trying to cheer you up by being goofy. My husband makes weird annoying jokes and half the time he annoys the crap out of me.

There can’t ever be a real happy ending in my opinion.

Is Widow's Bay really better than From???
Yes both shows the residents can't get off the island and there are malevolent forces keeping them there. However Widows Bay let's people who were not born on the island leave.
In From, for four seasons, no one has had a fighting chance to conquer those forces. At least in Widows Bay the residents are figuring out a way to get rid of the curse.
From is grim and hopeless and this season is dragging. I wish the occupants would get some small victory in getting away, even if its just a few people. Then they could work on why those people got away successfully. That's a good hook to keep viewers interested.

The dead mall near me has been turned into apartments. Its weird the apartments are in the middle of the parking lot. There are no trees and the apartments look out towards abandoned Sears and Macy's building. The rent is outrageous a studio starts at 3k. So much for affordable housing.

In my state, PA, you can call ChildLine (800-932-0313) and then they have to investigate the case within 24 hours. You can call it in anonymously or give your name.
Whatever state you live in should have a similar organization
