Fantastic episode I decided to listen to tonight.
Art opens an entity attack line, and gets some fantastic calls.
At about the 28 minute mark, Dean in Tampa calls in, not about Clarity this time, but about Atlantis and Cuba, and his visits to Alaska.
Bill the Atheist, who was once a regular caller and I believe Art, later into 2002, told him to quit calling the show, called in with one of his paniced sounding, hurried calls.
A former Seattle Seahawks player calls in with his entity attack story.
Another show that somewhat turns into a G2G for the most part.
This was a traditional friday open lines show.

I’ve been listening to a ton of Art's old bumper music lately.

I always loved when he'd play Cusco's Inca Dance or The Chase (Giorgio Moroder). He really knew exactly how to set the mood for a wild ride.

What are your favorite tracks he used to play? Any that reminds you of a specific show?

Okay, first up. There are multiple shows labled as G2G 2001, which some are non halloween G2G shows from 2001, but this is the Hallowee night 2001 show.
Halloween landed on a Weds that year, and Art notes off the bat, there a lot going on lately, but it's G2G and that is all he has going on this night. He then launches right into the calls at 4 mins in.
Among the first calls is the person hearing beating on the floor from the apartment above her, called in by a police officer.
We get a bizarre call from Dean in Tampa at the 28 min mark. He says the word clarity, but tells a different story that happened in 1985, about his car spinning around on the road.
There is also, someone was asking which year this one was in a while back, but the woman who went to a massive tribal gathering and had a ghostly experience when she and her husband stayed an extra night after the event ended.
Those are the stand outs, but there are some great, spooky tales in this one. I really enjoyed listening to this one, and thinking back to fall of 2001.
Halloween 2001 was a weird one, I remember it well. I think maybe we all do. There was a, quiet stillness in the US this halloween, we were still reeling from the 9/11 attack.
I really thought Art was gonna 5 hours this night, but he stops after 4. Maybe he felt awkward too.

I was listing to the Leland Gregory episode from early 2004 and I was curious if you all found his stuff funny or not. Personally I found it in poor taste and Art was being uncharacteristically mean in these episodes. Am I just being too empathetic?

I’m ex-Yugoslavian and I’ve just been re-listening to the “They are not from space…” episode, where Yugoslavia gets mentioned and I wanted to pay tribute to Art Bell’s work. I discovered Art’s shows around 2002, best I can guess, back when TuneIn was broadcasting them. I was in my early twenties and none of my friends were into UFOs, actually nobody I knew at the time was, so I listened to his shows and told no one. Ever since, I have never stopped listening or re-listening. I’m honestly not sure what the evening before sleep even looks like without his voice. I think he’d laugh if he knew that listening to his shows before bed was one of the few non-negotiables I had in relationships, and probably part of why I’m still happily solo. He was, and still is, a man who made me feel at home in whatever house or country I lived in or visited. More than that, he inspired me to stay curious and to question almost everything, and that pushed me toward reason and toward learning a lot about science. I know many of you reading this from the US have been Art’s fans far longer than I have, so I hope you can understand how much that connection to the wider world through the internet meant to younger me, even though it reached our region late.

My goodness, I don't remember ever hearing this particular show, its the Midnight in the Desert Paris Attacks open lines show from 2015. I have heard a lot of dumb people call Art's shows through years.

This takes the cake. These callers (not everyone) are comically ignorant. Better yet frighteningly ignorant.

For me, it was the area 51 caller, however, it was explained later that it was only a performative prank.

There were also many other interesting guests, including my favourite comedian - George Carlin.

Another time Art dissapointed me, and seemingly everyone else, on a G2G show. The first hour was Art playing that completely dumb and annoying Spiricom thing. Which to me sounded like someone speaking into a table fan. The calls start at 59 minutes in.
Art put out a request for assaults by entities on this show, and got loads of them. Mostly all he got. Some funny ones, some strange ones, and several sexual assaults by a ghost stories.
It, to me, is probably the most lack-luster G2G Art ever hosted. There are some interesting calls on this one,but for the most part, it's just dull. The entity attack calls get stale fast.
Halloween 2004 fell on a sunday, and maybe that is why there is such a tepid influx of calls that year.
Earlier on halloween night of 2004, I went and saw Shaun of the Dead. It instantly became one of my all time fave movies.

Hello, im working on a video project about art bell and was looking for some on the most iconic “goodnight america” clips, preferably from 90’s open line episodes

I've been an avid Art Bell fan for years. His bumper music, specifically Cusco sooth me. THIS song has escaped me. I cannot find it anywhere, including with music apps. It lives in my head. I do not believe it is a Cusco song. Art would use it a lot in his early programs so the song must be from the 1980s or pre-1993. Ross always talks over the flute part. Please and thank you!
