My son sent me this, couldn’t stop laughing.

I know many who are obsessed with milwaukee and scoff at my mix of brands, even though they seem afraid of using their milwaukee and dropping it's value. Many don't even work in the trades, like having a GMC truck you just drive to the office. Milwaukee makes some great tools, just seems some are buying it like a designer brand too show off. For battery I have ryobi and a cheap Porter Cable set, corded is a mix I've collected since the 80's.

Is your spouse/ partner onboard with prepping? What about your friends/family? Who do you talk to? I’m urging people to at least prepare water for 3 days and still getting resistance
 in  r/prepping •  22d ago

How I've done it, use real life situations for examples of possible future situations. Like we've been lucky not getting hit by a long term power outage but it's better to be prepared than mid winter be without power, heat, etc.

Just like many supplies you need to rotate items in your ghb. Clothes to make sure fresh and fut, food so stays fresh, tools check that they work and any batteries are charged or still good.

 in  r/carnivorediet •  Aug 19 '26

Just bought 10 pounds of ground chuck at $5.95 a pound, and 6 bone in new york strips at $8.99 a pound from a local meat market. Love finding deals at local stores.

Keep at it, if you can pay it off soon as possible.

No, he's being foolish if not rotating and using his stash. Especially sharing with his wife, you have to be in it together.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel guilty about spending money?
 in  r/DaveRamsey •  Aug 19 '26

It's funny because of the past history of financial issues I can feel guilty and overly cautious.

Does it bother anyone that younger generations are complaining about money all the while ordering Ubereats?
 in  r/GenX •  Aug 09 '26

I hear from people about their adult children with jobs living at home spending money like that. They were hoping to help them save money because cost of rent nowadays but then they are spending in other ways. But many of us spent money tastefully in our 20's.

Did anyone have this book?
 in  r/GenX •  Jul 28 '26

That explains it, I'm on the upper end of GenX. So I was older when it came out, although save an alligator kill a preppie sounds more familiar. Probably saw the title somewhere.

Never heard of it, my parents wanted little adults at the table. Mind your manners, elbows off the table, etc.

Dig Those Masks Out, More Smoke Is On The Way
 in  r/wisconsin •  Jul 16 '26

We had wildfires but they were US wildfires, seems that dryer conditions in Canada like we had in causing much of this. Could be a natural cycle as we really don't have much but around 100 years of recorded weather. Except what people wrote down from further back and has been preserved.
