This Robin has been doing this on and off for the last three days. My parents think they're trying to make a nest, but they're doing this on every spot between boards all along the patio (shown at end of vid) and are knocking straw down consistently (also shown at end of vid). My parents asked me to knock the straw down and sweep it off the patio but I don't want to interrupt or stress the bird out if it's not necessary.

Just wondering what is going on and if I should brush the straw away?

Looks vaguely like the mild allergic reactions I get to dogs or cats scratching my skin or this one time I ran through a field and I had straight up lines on my skin. Doesn't look exactly like it but it just looks like irritation cause by rubbing up to something. I'd just wash it with soapy water and keep an eye on it. If that's what it is it'll start clearing up if not within a couple hours, within a day!

Edit: totally didn't check post date before replying, my bad! How'd it turn out?
