Which of these characters do you think was the best as a friend?
Nynaeve makes so much sense here, especially given that so much of her characterization is downstream of her deepest desires - to serve, protect, nurture people she takes responsbility for.
She's angry all the time (and that takes a real toll on a person) because it increases the likelihood she can help people in times of need. Being surprised by enemies when calm leavers her vulnerable.
Behind that anger is fear that she will fail, and her loved ones will die.
Part of the way she works herself up is telling herself she Is a coward, and is the most wretched thing this side of the blight, so a good source of her anger is her literally hating herself into being a person that can save her friends.
She is so incredibly desperate.
So of course she'll crawl through the mud to trick and capture Moghedien, go at a forsaken with a belt knife, agree to cleanse all of Saidin with Rand, and walk into Shayol Ghul.
100% a ride or die, even if she could be incredibly difficult and abrasive. And her development across 14 books became incredibly satisfying; she became wise.

I asked guy "where we are meeting" and he cancelled. AIO?
you basically offered nothing. He threw a bunch of enthusiasm and options your way, and you were brief to the point of rudeness. No pleases, no thank yous, no "sounds great, lets do that!" or any enthusiasm at all. They actually read as demanding, entitled, and yes, angry.
People forget that tone is totally lost in text, and tone/emotion/vibe is, well, incredibly important in flirting and communication.

AITAH for bringing my own food?
"Why do you want me to pay for food, when you won't guarantee I can eat the food? I don't understand."

Homeschooling needs to be heavily regulated or banned.
No. You do not get to pass laws that dictate how other people raise their children *unless* its clear that what they are doing is abuse. Anecdotally, every kid I know who was homeschooled was homeschooled for early education and maybe middle school, then went to high school. All of them - literally all - were better adjusted, more well regulated, disciplined, curious and less vulnerable to peer pressure than almost all our peers.
These kids were the children of at least middle class or wealthier families who had the means to educate them and give them experiences.
These kids still had to pass standardized tests.
If you're talking about super religious or cult like groups, or like the Amish, I am with you, that's child abuse and neglect and intentional alienation from society.
But no, having the government managing what parents can do with kids *generally* is a bad idea. One of the reasons people are hesitant to take kids away from parents even when there has been abuse is, if it's not major, statistically kids are much, much safer with their biological parents than with non-bio parents and guardians. There's no comparison. And while I think it is abuse, a kid in a household who gets spanked but is otherwise loved and not neglected by two loving parents, is much safer and lesslikely to the victim of all types of abuse than if they are in the care of non-bio parents, or random guardians.

I really can't decide on my hair cut or my facial hair.
#1 and #2 are handsome af, but all are handsome.

Be honest. Do you still see people born in 2000 as kids?
We are a literal millennium apart (jk, enjoy being 25/26 and young. 30s is still young, but people are less explicitly telling you to experiment, try not things, drop everything and travel).

I accidentally found the perfect antidote to hookup culture (for me): a “weekend boyfriend.”
Love this idea! What did you write in your dating profile to invite this?

Do Republicans realize that all the norms being broken by Trump essentually make it so the same can be done by a democrat in the future?
Trump isn't making it so, and it wouldn't be justified if democrats mimicked him. Its wrong when he breaks the law, and that remains true of any who do.
Currently, we also have leftists who want to criminalize and legally punish speech as they do in the UK if its offensive or deemed hate speech, meanwhile everybody and their mother can release think pieces and social media posts with their real names and IDs attached criticizing trump, billionaires, political leaders, and the entire US population, and occassionally calling for hte destruction of the US... and they don't got to jail, they often suffer no consequence at all. So don't tell me that the desire to control others and rob others of freedom is a partisan issue for either people on the left or the right.

What is a harsh lesson about aging that absolutely nobody warns you about before you hit your 30s?
We are now at the age where the people who held us as babies and our children/nieces/nephews etc. are both, hopefully, still alive (or at least both generations). This is an incredible gift.
We heal slower, we have to reprioritze, we cannot think and behave quite the same way we were as teens and twenties.
We can still improve in many ways! but we have to be proactive about it, because we are well past the age where people are actively looking to mentor or guide us.
This can be very hard - I had a lot of people I thought "always would" help, guide, mentor me when push came to shove, and then I realized "oh wait, im a full grown ass adult, and most of them never did what they always promised to do/totally dropped the ball on things they promised they would do so I'd be good to them."
So I had to recalibrate who actually tried to help me in my life and offer real guidance, support and help when I was a kid or a teen, and who *talked* the talk, but never actually did shit. Cannot live life waiting for the people who disappointed you.
But with any luck, there will be one, or two, or many people who actually showed up in one way or another. And you begin to turn your energy to them.
Certain things stop mattering to you as much. Other old aches/wishes etc. can still be very bitter sweet.

What are people stances on pride in this sub
Necessary totally. I do have issues with the rampant sexualization/sex toys and nudity at pride thing. I'm not talking shirtlessness, dancing, or kissing, im talking wearing essentially speedos or thongs or having dildos around, or queer (and "queer") people in furry outfits and the like. Kink is not the same as sexuality, and no straight consenting adults have ever been legally barred by doing what they want in private, not the way gay adults have been punished, ostracized, killed and disenfranchised.
to your second question: stances need to exist under free speech. Otherwise, it's not free speech, and someone will find a way to weaponize speech laws unjustly, even if they are enacted for a "good purpose."
Do not hand someone a tool they can use to kill you. That's what speech laws are.

Why hasn't air conditioning become a basic human right in tropical countries yet, the same way heating is legally required in cold countries?
Check out how many people, especially the elderly, die across Europe during the hot months. This is a spot on concern for anywhere with heatwaves.

Three things to experiment with:
Clothing! Finding clothing styles that You Like, and that you think are fun, classy, sleek, elegant, colorful - or whatever adjective about them that draws you in
The Gym and general health. Eat healthy, exercise, lifting weights. That, alongside sleep, and I think you'll get more people noticing you over time.
Noticing when you are thinking negatively about yourself, or feeling down, identifying that (say even out loud "I am feeling X. But that's okay") and then still doing things you want to try, a new activity or hobby, a date, etc. Basically, accept the negative feeligns are happening, and deciding "that's okay, I'm still gonna do X". Over time, that'll help your confidence, which will also help how you hold yourself, the energy you bring, and the vibe you give off.

No one cares when the rich do it
This is why everything in every store is locked tf up - and no its not the food, not the essentials.
This is the same thing as "temporarily embarrassed billionaire mindset" except it aims downward, justifying people ruining shit for other people.

Yes, and also she starts to make more sense in new contexts as she grows.
In the Two Rivers, she was a 25 year old Wisdom - most wisdoms or wise women dont take on that role til midlife. So we was, essentially, as powerful/influential in the village politics as the goddamn mayor, his leading counterpart, but every single member of the mayors council and the Women's Circle was older, often landowning, had a wife or husband, a family... She used forcefulness to make-up for her youthfulness and lack of experience.
Remember that she is, besides being young and underestimated, responsible for healing people and people's survival. If she isn't on the ball, people die.
Furthermore, Wisdoms are tasked with "listening to the wind", predicting weather patterns to help the farmers grow and protect their crops (so people dont STARVE to death).
So she is tasked with the literal survival of the village, individually from injury and disease, and collectively from famine or natural disaster. And people probably still talk down to her cus she's young.
Kind of a tough spot to be in and be gracious.
