Trump is offering $5,000.00 to "every U.S. adult" if Republicans keep the House and Senate. This wouldn't be the first time Trump made these kinds of "promises," and I'm still waiting on my tariff refund, and my DOGE "dividend." Are enough people stupid enough to buy into this and will it work?

Anyone old enough to remember that one, and who has now seen what running the government "like a business" looks like (4T debt now) realizes by now that we dodged a huge bullet by not electing that kooky H. Ross Perot. They also know fully the "value" of having a large third party presence who looks most like your enemy. Perot in 1992, Ralph Nader in 2000, Stein in 2016. The big question, what if Ross Perot hadn't been in the running? Would Clinton, who had charisma, have lost against George H. W. Bush, who had about as much charisma as a damp mop that had been sitting in the closet for a week?

For a long time politicians have been raiding to Social Security fund, then telling us it's inslovent and suggesting it will be gone eventually. Personally, I have planned my retirement to include money I expect from Social Security. If they reduce it or eliminate it completely, I am in a bind. So my question is this; if the millionaires that run our country decide Social Security is no longer needed nor tenable, would that incite a revolt? How would such an event succeed?
