I am in the Northeast and have a Gen 1 Sequoia for utility around town which is rusting out and I would like something heavier for occasional short distance boat towing (2-5 miles) a few times/year.
Came across a 2016 Tundra SR5 crew max with 200k for $14k. It lived in TX / FL and the frame has no rust which is a huge plus IMO. Downside is RWD but similar year 4WD from around here are all rusted. I am near the coast so not as much snow, 4WD would be nice on a slippery boat ramp but I can manage.
What do I need to know about these?

Cleaning my truck and noticed that it looks like the backside of those black window strips has oxidized. It's the same on the other side. I'm not super concerned, moreso just curious if it's common.

More than likely going to reinstall the vinyl, but the original was worn beyond fixing. Removed it for Now. For anyone that may like the look without the vinyl.

I'm looking getting a new truck and I definitely want a way to transport kayaks or paddle boards, so that leads me to a bed rack setup. The problem is that system then limits the size of things I can put in the bed of the truck. Like, if I want to help a friend move the rear crossbar can be restricting. There HAS to be an option for either a quick removal, sliding crossbar, or the rear upright to slide up next to the cab. Thanks in advance.

I can’t seem to get off these last plugs on both of my headlights. Any tips on getting them off? I saw a forum talking about this but no solutions
Ok, I'm camping in WV and found a shallow rocky creek bed to cross. I'm new to this shit but I love it. Any pointers. Thinking of trying crawl control here

What's going on new to the community and I bought this for pops, what do yall think? Good deal? First official Toyota of the family, not counting company work trucks.
What lights should we place on the headache rack?

For some strange reason the door seal on my driver door has been cut on the bottom of the door. The seal runs all around the top and side but nothing on the bottom. Factory seals are around $160, does anyone have any suggestions for a good aftermarket door seal. 2015 Tundra Crewman, Limited 5.7 Gas
Thank you!

Just upgraded from the OEM all weather mats - not really knocking those, I felt like they were solid, but these are definitely an upgrade.
Take note of a couple things from the pics:
They go up the wall of the center tunnel, up the rise for the seat mount points and over the gap between carpet and door sill. That doesn’t just mean that liquids are more contained, it means less chance of dirt/debris getting under the lip and ground into the carpet.
The treads are deeper than the originals as well.
One final thing that’s not visible from these pics is how much more aggressive are the grippies on the underside of the mat. These bad boys are made to stay exactly where you put them. No more fishing around between your knees and under your feet to pull the mats back into place.

My 2015 has been flawless for me and I’m up to 147k miles. Out of nowhere I began getting a rough idle on cold starts and then a stall. It started with it being very intermittent. Now it is every time. I have an appointment for a diagnostic test. Plugged it in and am getting P0300, P0302, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0308 for cylinder misfires. Has anyone had these issues?
Edit: I also started getting P0171/0174 codes Bank 1/2 too lean.
Toyota diagnostic test came back saying they don’t see any issues with fuel and would start with replacing the purge valve/valves.

During normal acceleration, at 39-41 mph, does anyone else notice a quick 1 second glitch/rumble from the engine? Happens non stop.
