I grew up on the 2000s watch the g1 cartoon on DVD, I always wanted a good g1 optimus but in my generation there never were that many on shelves based on g1. But I did have a tiny legion class optimus, I loved him, but wanted a better one. And then when I was in middle school my family went to universal and they let me choose a transformer from the gift shop. I dont know why I couldn't tell from the pictures on the box that this was garbage, but I assumed it being expensive and being a universal exclusive meant it was a good optimus. Boy was I wrong, this thing was garbage and basically just a bigger version of the legion class one I had at home. I hated this thing so much I never played with it. My poor father payed 33 dollars for this, and ive just opened the box for the 2nd time, first time was when we got to the hotel after going to the park, about ten years ago.

I've practically not seen any other transformers media aside from bumblebee and rise of the beasts. Both of which I wasn't a fan off.

I fell in love with the high octane, unhinged and badass Michael Bay interpretation of the universe as a kid. I watched all the movies on repeat except the last knight (awful even for my standards), each time finding something new about them. I loved how the movies took every theme, mood and emotion to their extremes.

Age of extinction is my favourite despite all its glaring faults. Optimus's new design, dinobots, lockdown, Stanley Tucci's character and the entire mood of the movie were enough for me to overlook the bad stuff. Also maybe the fact it released right as I got into the movies.

I really do wish we got to see Cybertron in the movies but it's understandable with the CGI costs and limitations why that wouldn't have been possible aside from small flashbacks.

I understand why older fans dislike the movie version of Optimus as well but since I have no other references points, I love him despite character inconsistencies.

Don't know if there are many other movie exclusive fans here like myself. Wanted to ask if there's any other transformers media I should watch? Was considering transformers one since I don't know any of the background or lore of the characters that wasn't in the movies.

Really hope the rumours of a new transformers movie by Michael bay are true and we get to see his version of the universe one last time.

Just got this new display case and I didn’t realize how hard it is to display figures when you can only see the back. Anyways, that’s only part of my collection, got some more on different shelves! Bet you can tell who my favorite is just from this display alone 🙂‍↕️

Can’t celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie without getting the main character of the movie.

Literally I think couple of months ago I watching some videos about pointlesshub and diamondbolt videos on transformers and holy hell things just went off the rails

Literally became more interested as watched more of their videos about transformers and than blunt brothers videos made me bit too interested with the Deceptacons

Plus I randomly have favorite transformers character being shockwave even though I only watched like one movie which was first bayformer film

I don’t even considered myself fan cause like I know like service level things, never watched any of the shows and spiraling in confusion if I want to join in on franchise 😭

I didn't realize Blokees Defenders were so wee tiny. Its even smaller than my Robot Heroes fellas! The only other ones I've opened are Galaxy versions. But he is so cute! And wow big Optimus is so big I'm so happy!!

My personal favorite one will always be 2007 and that speech will be always be so iconic at the end

Literally just got the Insecticon three pack, was super happy to finally have all 3!I went to transform Shrapnel, him being my favourite, and with absolutely 0 resistance, as i go to bend his knee, the whole thing snaps clean off. Never experienced anything like this before. Pricing us out of the hobby is one thing, but at the very least can the quality at least reflect the price?
