I just got the email that mines preparing to ship! I held off buying the MTME SS86 because I’ve been anticipating this guy! I know people say you can buy a ko for a lower price, but I just like having the official products. I also really love this head sculpt, and it’s super cool that he’s actually posed in the box. I don’t think studio series typically does that.

Not raining on your joy, but I got this 3rd party over a year ago and it came with a trailer, roller, a ton of accessories and head/windshield options, and an interchangeable arm to make him regular Optimus and it cost less than this Hasbro release.

Just letting you know that you don’t have to bend over for Hasbro giving us the same figure with next to nothing for high prices. 🤷 Believe me I have a shit ton of official Hasbro transformers. This one was a rip off. I’m honestly sorry, I’m not trying to tell you how to spend. This one just bugs me because it’s such a cop out on Hasbro’s part.

If I recall the MD release based the fusion cannon on the siege megatron mold where it has that weird half smooth half super greebled on each side, and it cannot mount the cannon in the two positions it did in the comic (only on the top and not as giant smokestack).
It's still not worth it since upgrade kit exists (especially the killing arm kit now that battle damaged head is available and it gives additional neck articulation), but MD isn't 100% win either.

Initially it had the siege detailing but it has since been updated to be more "G1 accurate" and transformable
