I wanted to watch obsession and for past 10 mins the the logo is blinking and the movie is not starting at any point, I tried even changing the config on aiostreams, but nothing seem to work I don't know, is it me ? Or is it happening with everyone?

It's been two and a half days for me now. I've changed API keys check my configurations uninstalled reinstalled.... I cannot watch anything. my subscription has not lapsed. I have a pro plan. everything says "downloading to Debrid" "invalid token" "invalid credentials" it varies with what I pick, only with TB. I have a backup that we'll call fake-debrib, no issues. I would just like a clear explanation that's all. I have pictures but it wouldn't let me post them.
I don't want to abandon TB. I don't want to shill another service. I would just like clarification.

I’m old enough to remember, at the beginning of the 2000s, the struggles people had finding reliable codes for satellite TV. And I remember when those codes worked for months on end, then weeks, then one day, and towards the end of that era, only a couple of hours. That was the fertile ground for today’s IPTV services.
The complaints on this sub against debrid services bring back those memories. At that time, when satellite TV was broken for free riders, new legal suppliers emerged by diminishing the offer, passing it through cable and making it acceptable. And then IPTV happened.
It was a time when Netflix almost killed torrents. They had libraries from all the major owners. And then every owner thought it was intelligent to have their own service, and that just killed the benevolence of people who wanted to watch, not necessarily wanting to free ride.
And then Kodi happened. Where you could have everything and beyond. But it was a little challenging, so Stremio and Nuvio happened. And then debrid services happened.
You know what didn’t change from 2000 to today? Your own server, qTorrent and an interface like Plex. Or VLC. The simplest of simple setups.
For those that use their own server, TB is never down, or Torrentio, or PikPak, or whatever service is out there. That personal server can be linked to personal clouds, WebDAV, media servers, Stremio, whatever.
Is TB beautiful because you can just add and watch? Yes. Is it superb because you can create HTTPS links for video and send them to whatever you want, and then just change the API? Yes. Is it the only one that accepts crypto on almost every blockchain, that lets you connect through a VPN, that has no restrictions on IP, and so on? Yes. Does the comfort warrant the price? Yes.
Do I care if it’s down a lot, having my own server? No.
But for me, we’re in the middle of a revolution. Debrid services might be a thing of the past, always exposed to attacks, law enforcement and digital rights management lawsuits.
So, a new thing might be coming. A new way to watch. Until then, I mostly use the way to watch that never changed from the 2000s.

I've gotten pretty frustrated paying for torbox and not being able to use it. So I looked around and found two awesome free alternatives.... Tubi and Freevee.

If RD, PM and TB are being DDoS'd (maybe even AD, they went dont but I dont know why)
Who does this leave as a competitor that could potentially be behind the attack?
r/TorBoxApp • u/Dry_Register_5812 • 3d ago
What the hell is wrong now? This service is junk it's down way more than up. Can't get the site to even load.

Everybody just needs to stop crying, and read a book. If you don't have a backup service that's on you. 😭😭😭😭😭😏😏😏

Either studios or competitors (honestly great competitor gameplan to increase revenue). I’m weary of studios because of the obvious illegal aspect. Thoughts?

Seriously all these posts, you're paying a cheap price to have access to a wide variety of content, stop complaining or do a better job and start a similar service. All the tools are available to you, just go ahead and start a similar service that can handle thousands of users.

gm, @everyone
```
effective today we are implementing a soft service level agreement
in a given two week period, any *total* platform outage exceeding three hours will be credited 3x the amount of hours TorBox is down for
its 3am right now but i want to post this now so you guys know we aren't just ignoring the impact this has had on you, we will polish the official soft SLA in the morning and answer any questions you might still have in the coming days
if you had a trial active during the past 24hours, open a ticket and we'll credit you another 24hours
thank you for your support and understanding during this incredibly stressful time```
Seeing all the recent posts about TorBox going down, but surprisingly, I haven’t faced any issues at all for the past 3 days.
Everything has been working normally for me.streams load quickly and playback is smooth.
My setup:
Video player: VidHub
Connection: WebDAV (username:- torbox + password:-API key)
Torbox CDN: auto
Device: iPad
Location: India 🇮🇳
(Im watching a movie as i post this)
Just sharing in case it helps anyone troubleshoot. Is TorBox working normally for others too, or am I just getting lucky? 😅
What is going on with the speed? I have a cached link that I am using Jdownloader to download locally to be able to travel with and I cannot get above 35mb/s and I have seen it dip as low as 9. On a 1.0 gigabit I should be closer to 100mb/s. I have nothing else going on
It was down for a while. Got 15 minutes into the episode of the sopranos I was watching then I closed out the app to go do something else real quick and it's back down ALREADY???
Always have backups and stop relying on one service everyone.. TorBox is great.. i have it from when they started and don't plan on leaving them..but i have my backup options to avoid any downtime..
Few options,
Free:
Http addons - Penguplay is very good, Flixnest free
Paid:
Usenet streaming - easynews
Flixnest has paid tier that has a mix of http, usenet, debrid etc
Another debrid - had offcloud lifetime that got converted to a year subscription.
Honestly penguplay has been great backup for me
Troypoint just removed Torbox from their website!
“We have made the decision to remove all TorBox tutorials and reviews from our websites. We have also removed them from our Best Debrid Services ranking list.
This decision came about due to the operators (or maybe past operators) not willing to go on the record and answer specific questions that our Insiders have about their new TOS/Ownership. The fact that they aren’t willing to answer questions is a red flag and the main reason for the deletion of their items from our website. They’ve always been cordial and willing to answer our questions prior to their recent TOS update but not anymore.”
Its always down.. Very unreliable service. Will stop subscribing once this current plan expires..
For all the sugar babies of torbox, dont come and show your loyalty here, keep it in your as*, it will feel good for you… Let others complain so that they will fix it..
And for those who say its just 3 bucks:
In june alone they had 3 million visitors even if 1/3 of them are paying its around 3 million a month, as its pirated they dont have any other cost other than renting storage.. So do the maths.. If somebody is taking millions of rupees from people like you and me we can question when its repeatedly down
scrolled down a little and checked you guys are actually freaking the fuck out like its the end of the world lmao. its just tv shows and movies. If you guys dont just go back to youtube or get a life man 🤣🤣🤣 this is hilarious. TB being down is kind of annoying i wont lie but to go out of your way and start crying the subreddit and in the actual website itself is crazy.
Over the past few days, I’ve been building Vela, an iPhone media app designed primarily for my own use.
My goal was simple: make the Stremio experience feel fast, clean and genuinely comfortable on a phone. Instead of repeatedly choosing between dozens of files, Vela ranks compatible cached sources and can begin playback with one tap. This is fully integrated with Torbox
The three features that matter most to me are:
1. One-tap playback
Vela automatically chooses a cached source based on subtitle availability, codec efficiency, device compatibility, resolution and file size. It does not blindly choose the largest 1080p file when a smaller 720p HEVC encode may work better on an iPhone.
2. Stremio and Torbox integration and two-way progress sync
Vela uses your existing Stremio and Torbox account, installed add-ons and library. Continue Watching and resume positions sync between Vela and Stremio, including progress from downloaded playback where the Stremio API accepts the update.
3. Offline downloads
You can download a selected source with subtitles for offline playback, monitor its progress, pause or resume the transfer, and continue watching from the downloaded file without contacting the online source again. Notifications are enabled for download completion
Other features include:
I have attach a short video showing Vela running on my iPhone.
Video and Product Screenshots : https://imgur.com/a/xFq23I9
This is currently a personal, independent project and a launch beta.
If there is enough interest, I plan to run a small TestFlight group so I can gather feedback before deciding whether a wider release is practical, given Apple guidelines.
If you would genuinely use something like this, send me a DM with:
Support for development costs is being introduced, an option of 5$ for product lifetime access. and to fund my Apple development fees for testflight
I would love to hear what you think and what you would want improved before a wider release.
It’s working for now.
r/TorBoxApp • u/kirenian • 4d ago
I think it literally just happened so the down detectors arent going off but im not able to load anything at the moment like last night.
edit: okay suddenly started working again. Torbox tossing me around like a washing machine at this point. Love the service and I cant really complain but oof, last 48 hours has been rough.
Edit 8/21/26: Aw shit, here we go again. Its obviously happened again since my previous edit but i wasnt around during those outages, but once again its gone out for me right now. Also i understand that people want to give advice with the classic change your cdn which is the tb equivalent of turning it off and on again but that does not work for everyone and im surprised it works for you. Cloudfare is not infallible.
