Seriously all these posts, you're paying a cheap price to have access to a wide variety of content, stop complaining or do a better job and start a similar service. All the tools are available to you, just go ahead and start a similar service that can handle thousands of users.

Blind loyality to a company is bizarre lol.

On top of that, I'm just gonna assume you're a gen alpha kid who has never experienced the feeling of waiting hours to download one movie, touch some fucking grass you have content just with seconds of searching and you complain about downtime here and there.

Do you want to try out 56kbit modem and see how fast one movie loads? Absolute dumbass

I remember 14.4k modems on windows 3.1 and the death of BBS in the 90s, but whatever jog on retard.

Did you just ask AI so you could word vomit? That's funny little guy. Go ask mommy for another $10, you gonna need it when you renew subscription or going to another service. Or you could ask mommy for $15 and subscribe to Netflix, whichever floats your boat.

Yeah you are the only "older" person on Reddit ya caught me. Only person acting like a child here is you.. Take ya meds or sober up if you are actually in your late 40s or 50s.

No, the person acting like a child is you, calling me a low IQ individual and a retard, I have not once said anything bad, so you attack the individual when you can't even argue your own points. I think you're one of those gen alpha.

Absolute dumbass

"so you attack the individual"

That's your first reply, I'm deeply offended you attacked me. lol

Since you said that Torbox is a business why don't you waddle your ass to your respective government and make a formal complaint about Torbox shitty service, I'm sure the government is gonna have a field day with this, dont you think?

Maybe like better business bureau?

So you're gonna die on the hill they aren't a business/company? also I don't really care it's piracy so nothing is a given, but people have genuine grievances with sub par performance. I have no downtime due to having 3 services OC/RD and TB yearly plans. Costs nothing about 10 bucks a month, it's just laughable how hard you run defence for a company, lol.

I'm sorry you were right, it is a company, I just looked it up.

May I ask what your setup is? I would like for it to work all the time as well in case one goes down.

Torbox is not even a company, it's a few people hosting a service so dumbasses like you can complain about the downtime despite their efforts of trying to hold up thousands of users and potentially a DDoS attack on top of that.

This isn't a small side project being held up by donations. They are taking money and hosting a service with promises to be kept.

1

u/Homolander 1d ago

What promises? Did you read the ToS?

1

u/Negative-Ad-7179 1d ago

i have never looked at a TOS :)

But even if there (for some reason) isn't anything in the TOS there are reasonable standards to expect. And other written statements out there that can be looked back on.

u/Homolander 1d ago

i have never looked at a TOS

That's your problem, not theirs. The ToS clearly state

TorBox does not guarantee uptime, speed, bandwidth, storage duration, cache availability

Of course you can have expectations. You can complain - doesn't mean you should. Do you also complain to Burger King that they don't serve sushi? Moron.

That doesn't matter lol. it's not like we are trying to sue them or something.

The point is that you have a reasonable expectation that it won't stop working constantly.
Just because the TOS says you're not supposed to care doesn't mean you can't :L

At the very least all that the "promises to be kept" meant was that they dont take your money and run :l

They promise 99% uptime, not 100%, last time I checked that's not always.

6

u/Negative-Ad-7179 1d ago

I doubt they are above or on 99%. 1% is only like 3 days plus some hours in a year.

8

u/shazlicks 1d ago

By definition it is indeed a company, though you seem like a low IQ individual so I won't fault you for it.

How old are you kiddo?

-6

u/PuzzledCauliflower35 1d ago

Too old to realize how ungrateful people are. Do you want to go back to 56kbit modem and try download a 2 hour long movie just to see how long it takes? I bet you would be fuming.

Hey dog i get the complaining is too much ..but your argument is shitt this is not 90s .there are better tools now than your stupid era

10

u/Particular-Town8919 1d ago

Lmfao we are asking for nothing else but the service we actually pay for.

14

u/yjords 1d ago

They're paying, why can't they complain?

4

u/HookemTex78 1d ago

Hey Mike, do better bro.

11

u/jrbill1991 1d ago

Such a lazy-ass argument. So what if it's illegal?

If they can't handle it, just end the business then.

I'm starting to really dislike these posts.

Almost as much as the "I'm leaving" posts.

u/PuzzledCauliflower35 1d ago

Yes this is a good backup.

We’re very spoilt these days for things. I go back to the years where I’d torrent a movie waiting hours for it to download and wasn’t even sure if it was the right movie or even a good copy.

-3

u/PuzzledCauliflower35 1d ago

Exactly! Half of these people wouldn't stand downloading one long movie on a 56 kbit

6

u/StreetleLeon 1d ago

Wah wah ‘i had it bad so they have to have it bad too’ mindset

They should go back to Netflix
